Bridget Regan versus Katrina Law
(Words: Bazz / Results: Lookout!)

Before: “Wow it’s good to be back! I mean it’s been a great few months watching Pointy help coach the Scottish side in the Six Nations Rugby Tournament. The Bazz girls learned a heck of a lot on the other side of the pond; Lesson one, Scerbo’s pudding sells even better over there than it does here and she really is friends with the Queen, good friends! From what I hear she’s even a big fan of the FCBA because of Cassandra Lynn. Lesson two, Rugby is one hell of a sport with some real crazy guys playing it, and our Pointy is the main dude over there when you’re wearing Scottish blue!” Bridgy Regs waxes on as if she is holding court at a cocktail party. Yet she is welterweight royalty so the throng of reporters remain silent. “So after our fight club’s little sabbatical I find out that I’ve been lucky enough to draw Katrina. Thanks for starting me out with an easy one Pointy.” Bridget rolls her eyes with sarcastic effect causing a short chuckle from the crowd. “Pointy’s friendship with Knowelesy meant that we were able to train in his gyms and so we’re sharp. Hell, Pointy even found a hill that we could bust our lungs open on, climbing it again and again and again… Well you know how it goes at Bazz. So FCBA get ready cause we’re back and good to go!”

“Not ever fight club has a manager that was a legend on Scotland’s national rugby team. That’s a nice field trip for you gals Bridget and if I know Pointy it wasn’t all play and no work. You guys trained and hard I’m sure but while you were watching Scotland’s best side beat up on Italy we were busting our butts over here and I’ve got my money on a fight heavy FCBA schedule over a romp through Europe anytime.” Katrina Law answers with confidence. “So get ready girl because this is going to be far more than a warm up fight.”

Katrina looking splendid in a burgundy red bikini with cream colored gloves and shoes. Bridget in the usual Bazz black bikini with black gloves and boots. Both fighters wearing their hair back in loose ponytails.

Rd 1 Both girls out strong. Katrina looking to take advantage of any rust clinging to Regan’s sinewy body and Bridget anxious to show that her undercarriage is just as supple as ever. Katrina jabbing and quickly following up with her right hand. Regan withstanding an early barrage but able to mount some very effective early counterpunching. Both fighters looking smooth and relaxed showing off the considerable experience evident in all welterweight apex predators. Katrina getting the points early for going on the offensive. Bridget bobbing and weaving, not letting The Oath star’s punching affect her. Finally Katrina gets a good body shot in on the muscular Regan causing the first wince and Bridgy Regs wakes up. Regan grinds into Law’s body dishing out short powerful punches to midsection. Now Katrina backs down unable to control Bridget’s power. Regan all hup hup hup into Katrina’s grill, two punches to the body and one to the jaw just to keep her honest. Katrina now covering up while Bridget works her over. The bell rings with Regan snatching the round away from Katrina in a tight one.

Rd 2 Law gets a lecture from her corner for letting Regan take control. She’s nodding in agreement seemingly not affected by Regan’s body blows. She comes out and faces down Regan again going strong to the body. The waning offense from the previous round is back with the equally muscular Law backing Bridget down who is back on defense covering up against the ropes. Law back to the body with some very effective punching but paying the price from Regan’s counter punching. Law landing three punches to Regan’s one but the counter punches are vicious over hand rights and lefts to Katrina’s head. Both girls pick up the pace with arms and boxing gloves turning into blurs. Katrina working hard when suddenly the Bonzo girl takes a left cross to the side of her head. Law slightly wounded takes a step back and then amazingly gets right back to it. She’s barely slowed by the Bazz girl’s overhand shot. Law on top when the bell rings because her offense lasts the entire round this time.

Rd 3 Katrina comes back with the same strategy. She’s at a point where it seems that she’s pushing around the former welterweight champ with some well time punches to the midsection. Regan backing up looking as if she’s testing the weight of Katrina’s abilities having been away for so long. Meanwhile Law is passing the test with ease using ring smarts and her slick power to corral the Bazz beauty. Regan spending a great deal of time up against the ropes looking for a way out of Katrina’s clutches. For a great part of the round Katrina digging in and accepting the cost of being able to attack Regan’s body until Bridget lands another left hand bomb. Katrina finishing the round out in space bopping in and out on Regan landing jabs and looking just as happy on her bicycle moving about as she is fighting from the trenches. The round ends with Katrina clearly the aggressor and clearly in the lead.

Rd 4 Regan sits in her corner and is subjected to, for her, a rare moment in her illustrious career, the Pointy stare down. Any Bazz fighter falling behind in a fight gets to experience a sort of Poindexter Del Crunchy intimidation technique known as the Pointy stare down where the large Scotsman stands over his fighter and simply glares, his arms folded. This moment a rarity for Bridgy Regs simply because at this point in a fight you could probably count on one of your hands the number of times the welter has been behind. The round starts with Katrina looking for more of the same, locking up with Bridget and taking another chunk out of her body. Instead she is met with a series of jabs that send her backwards in a hurry. Bridgy Regs is sharp and quick. She’s fading in and out on Law, planting her right foot and snapping outward with her left catching Katrina square in the face. Law tries to step back in but Bridgy is having none of it. She sidestep the quick Bonzo girl and olays a right hand as she goes by catching Law with a vicious right hand. Law is staggered and Regan quickly pounces. She’s all over Katrina with some crisp combinations sending the well built welter into the ropes. Katrina covering up now while Bridget swings away with machine like rthym and accuracy. Crowd on its feet cheering for more as it has taken three and a half rounds for the welter to return to her top form. Katrina winces as a particularly well placed three punch combination catches left jug and her right side. The round ends as the most one sided of the night with Bridgy Regs back in charge.

Rd 5 Katrina fresh from a complete make over in her corner comes out with a new batch of energy and motivation. She’s moving in and out on Bridget not letting the powerful redhead catch her with one of her savage right hands. Regan trying to push her advantage counters with a combination but Katrina moves right and darts back in with her own jab and right hand upper cut. Bridget reels back as Katrina’s right catches her chin. Katrina back in control dancing in and out on Regan showing off some serious agility. Bap! Bap! Bap! Law’s jab is living in front of Bridgy’s face. Follow ups with right hand body shots add to Regan’s plight as she covers up against the ropes doing her best to counter the onslaught. The round ends with Katrina Law walking back to her corner looking for any hurt that may have been inflicted during her dominant round.

Rd 6 The two fighters circling and jabbing at the start of the round. Bridget looks a little worn down while flicking out some jabs that annoy Katrina at the outset. Bridgy Regs more mobile now. She keeps Law on her toes as well moving around her and timing some attacks with jabs and right hands. Katrina trying to get Regan up again the ropes again to take advantage of her punching to the body where she has been so successful. Katrina lunges in with an uppercut and…Bang! Regan connects with a right hand cross. Law stumbles forward, the crowd struggles to its feet and the ref takes a step closer while Regan follows up with a left hand uppercut that catches Katrina in the ribs. The Bonzo girl is in trouble for the first time in the fight. She takes a defensive stance but is still lashing out with jabs as Bridgy looks for openings. The Bazz girl finds them, going to the body and taking right hands upstairs to the head. Both girls swinging but it’s clear that Regan has swung the momentum with her right hand as the bell sounds.

Rd 7 Both girls meet at center ring. Katrina looking to get back on track pushes out some crisp jabs causing Regan to shift away ducking her head back. Bridget undaunted leans back in with a quick jab set up and then a power right hand to the left side of the midsection that catches Katrina flush. Law lets out an audible groan and doubles over to her side. Regan puts her machine into overdrive unloading with rights and lefts while the helpless Katrina Law tries to recover from the debilitating effects of Regan’s devastating bodyshot. Katrina hanging on at center ring while the crowd goes bananas. She’s leaning over with hands up protecting herself. Suddenly Bridget unleashes another punch to the midsection. This one is a left hand that catches Law at the liver causing her to drop her hands, then it’s one two buckle your shoe with Bridgy Regs throwing a left and then a right cross catching her chin and…DOWN GOES KATRINA! Bridget Regan with a ruinous two punch combination that puts Katrina Law on the canvas. The ref is counting and Katrina is attempting to climb the ropes but it’s clear that she just isn’t going to make it. It’s a 7th round KO for Bridget Regan!

After: “I guess that Katrina was right. She told me that I was going to be rusty tonight and after good first round I was struggling. If I hadn’t gotten that right hand in she probably would have won. She’s good enough to take anyone down and If you’re not on your game you’re not going to beat Katrina. I just got an opportunity during a middle round and I took advantage of it. So it’s good to be home again and I’m sure that Pointy’s going to make sure that our cobwebs are knocked clear. I can hear that damn hill calling already!” an ebullient Bridgy Regs proclaims to the throng of reporters surrounding her.
