BEFORE:

"People forget," says Tracy with a smile, "Since I've lost the last couple, but I've won a LOT of fights here. And, one of the girls I beat just HAPPENED to be Kat Dennings."

"Yeah," says Kat with a smile of her own. "I REMEMBER that one. In fact, I've been REMEMBERING it for a long time. And, tonight's the night I bury that horse in the ground."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Blitzkrieg Bop' by The Ramones, and that can only mean that the lovely Tracy Spiridakos of the Bazz Fight Club is making her way to ringside..."

Cassie: "And, Tracy makes an important point. Yes, she's lost her last few at Asylum, but she had three wins and a draw in her first four here, and that included beating a former champion in Grace Park."

McCarthy: "Oh, that's right. The Human Q-Tip! I'd almost forgotten about her..."

O'Dell: "Tracy into the ring and helped off with the robe. She's wearing that white two-piece we've seen before. And, that's 'I Don't Feel Like Dancing' by Scissor Sisters hammering through the arena, and here comes Kat 'The Rack' Dennings!"

Tess: "We've talked about this before, but the bantamweight division at Front Street is crowded with talented girls. This is a big fight for Kat for a lot of reasons, and keeping up with the other bantamweight 'Aces' is one of them..."

McCarthy: "'Four Aces' my EYE! More like four JOKERS...or four JOKES..."

O'Dell: "Kat climbs into the ring and is helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that curve-hugging black number we've seen before. And, we're about ready to go. Time for some picks. Tess likes Kat. Mac?"

McCarthy: "This Campbell Clone is no fighter. Spiridakos!"

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "Tracy won the first time, and she'll do it again!"

O'Dell: "And, there's the bell. Tracy looking to move early. She's very athletic and wants to use that to her advantage. Kat, as usual, wants to close and bag, bring that power of hers to bear. Spiridakos working the jab, making Dennings move the feet. Kat willing to do that, cuts, closes, bangs some body before Tracy can slip away."

Tess: "Kat works as much body as anybody at Front Street Boxing."

O'Dell: "And, she's doing it again, working over those ribs before Tracy can slip away to range, which she enforces with a nice double-tap jab. Spiridakos moves so well, makes Dennings' job very, very difficult, but Kat finding ways forward, cutting that ring off, and again LATHERING that body."

Cassie: "Going to take a BIG investment to bother Tracy, because she's as sturdy as it gets."

O'Dell: "Down the stretch in a competitive first. Again, Kat closes, works some body. Tracy circles back and away, scores with the jab and drops in a right as Kat comes forward. Dennings back to the body, thumping the midsection right to the bell. Close first goes to Dennings."

McCarthy: "And, that's the first point the Campbell Clone has ever taken from Spiridakos."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Dennings showing a bit more aggression in the second, forward, crowding Tracy. Spiridakos now firing back, and we're seeing some SERIOUS exchanges right now as both ladies land BOMBS in the opening minute of the second round. GOOD right from Tracy and KAT ROCKS HER WITH A LEFT UPPERCUT!"

Tess: "Surprised Spiridakos stayed on her feet after that one!"

O'Dell: "She did, but she may not be there for long, because Kat's letting the hands go, banging away with both hands, driving Spiridakos back into the ropes. Tracy in the high guard, leaning back in the ropes. Kat going ALL body ALL the time now, hammering away, determined to bring down that guard..."

McCarthy: "Again, DUMB. Try to finish this thing now!"

O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds of the second, and Dennings hammering away, looking to finish this thing. Tracy, though, shipping the heavy shell and staying afloat. Ten seconds to go. NICE right hand from Dennings sends sweat flying. Referee looking in, but there's the bell. Dennings. Wide."

Cassie: "And, Kat's up 20-18, but she may regret not finishing this thing."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Kat looking to pick up where she left off. She's after Tracy early, forward behind that left jab, backing up the Bazz beauty and GETTING CAUGHT WITH A RIGHT HAND! Oh, what a counter from Spiridakos and Dennings is STEPPIN' IN FENCE POST HOLES as Tracy goes over to the offensive..."

Cassie: "I TOLD you she'd regret it!"

O'Dell: "And Spiridakos now looking to recreate the first fight between the two, as she pours heavy fire on a reeling Dennings. Kat backed into the cables and getting touched up but good right now. Brunette's got the guard high as the blonde now works some body before going right back upstairs."

McCarthy: "THIS is how you do it. Bang away up top and finish!"

O'Dell: "Coming down the stretch and Tracy just LIGHTING UP Kat. Referee looking in. He's not going to watch much more of this. Dennings rolling with, firing back in spots, doing just enough to stay alive. Ten seconds to go. GOOD right hand from Tracy shakes Kat and there's the bell. Spiridakos. Wide."

Tess: "And, Dennings' lead is cut to 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Tracy rolling now, walking Dennings down, letting her have it with both hands. This has to be sickeningly familiar for Kat, the Front Street corner, and Dennings' fans, because this is EXACTLY what a lot of their first fight looked like, a wobbly Kat being thumped around the ring by a dominant Spiridakos..."

Cassie: "And, for anybody who's forgotten just how good Tracy IS, you're seeing it right now. Kat's a Top Ten bantam."

O'Dell: "And, Spiridakos is all OVER her. Kat firing back in counter in spots, but it's Tracy who's just dominating now, landing hard shot to head and body, keeping the brunette on her heels, piling up points, and, more importantly, punishment. Kat now backed to the ropes again and Tracy TEEING OFF..."

Tess: "This last thirty seconds is not going to be pretty for Dennings..."

O'Dell: "If she makes it that long. Spiridakos a GOOD right hand and that shook Kat. Tracy digging a little body, then going back upstairs with a solid left hook. Dennings hanging on. Referee looking in. Just a few seconds to go and the Front Streeter is going to ride it out, but it's a shutout, Spiridakos."

McCarthy: "And, the cards are even at 38, but the fight is NOT even."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Spiridakos train continuing to roll. Tracy walking down Kat, sitting down on her punches, landing solid shot. She's in the phone booth with Dennings now and KAT LANDS A RIGHT HOOK! Tracy wobbled by that right from Dennings and now Spiridakos is covering up and giving ground..."

Tess: "That thing was BRUTAL! Did you see the head swivel?"

O'Dell: "And, Kat throwing everything in the magazines at her rival now. Tracy listing, but staying afloat despite all the heavy shell. We're on the ropes yet again, and this time it's the blonde with her back up against them. Kat digging body in a BIG way, hammering the ribs with hooks..."

McCarthy: "Again, STUPID. Go for the head here!"

O'Dell: "Kat up, back down, back up again. Tracy keeping the guard high, jabbing back in spots. Looks like she's getting the legs back under her in the final twenty seconds, as she's landing some good counters. Not slowing Dennings down, though. Kat hammering away right to the bell. It's Kat and wide in the fifth."

Cassie: "And, Dennings is back up 48-47."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Dennings looking to consolidate early, but Tracy not having it. Kat's offensive being stopped as Spiridakos holds her ground and fires back. And, we're in the phone booth, with Dennings pressuring, WHACKING the body. Tracy firing back in kind, working some midsection of her own..."

McCarthy: "Spiridakos doesn't want to be in there with Dennings. This is all that Campbell Clone can do. Get some space."

O'Dell: "Instead, we've got head on shoulder stuff as blonde and brunette bang away in close. Spiridakos a nice left uppercut that backed Dennings up a step. Kat right back forward. Spiridakos digging to the midsection and DOWN GOES TRACY! Short right hook from Dennings!"

Cassie: "It's OK. She'll get up. She'll get up."

O'Dell: "Spiridakos spilled to her back. Dennings to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Tracy rolling to her belly. Six. Spiridakos pushing to hands and knees at seven. Eight. Tracy to her feet but she stumbles back to her knees at eight! Spiridakos struggling to rise again. Nine. TEN! It's OVER! Tracy still on her knees as the count passes her by, and your winner by KO6 is Kat 'The Rack' Dennings!"

McCarthy: "Lucky punch!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Kat Dennings, and, Kat, what a fight!"

Kat: "Yeah. THIS time it was a fight. And, that's what you'll get with Tracy. She's a heck of a fighter and you aren't going to roll over her. But, I had some work to do to make sure SHE didn't roll over ME."

Tess: "And, this time, she didn't. What was the difference?"

Kat: "A lot of things, but mostly me learning a lot and getting a LOT better over the years. The Kat she wiped out last time would have been wiped out again. But. I'm not that Kat anymore."
