TROIAN BELLISARIO VS DAKOTA JOHNSON

Celebrity Boxing After Dark

Lightweight Experimental Bout

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Troian: 32 YO, 5’7 (1.70 m), 26-19-0, 22 KO since 2011, Pretty Little Punchers

Dakota: 28 YO, 5’7 ½ (1.71 m), 3-7-0, 3 KO since 2015, FCBA Unmanaged

Before: “My managers at the PLP and I have been talking about my exploring lightweight,” says Troian Bellisario before the bout. “I am not sure they are quite as enthusiastic about it as I am, so they insisted I start off with Dakota. I guess they think if I can’t beat her I should stick to bantam. They might have a point, but I don’t see that happening.”

Dakota not pleased with Troian’s remarks even though she said them with a smile: “I may not have benefit of regular management, but I am not some kind of easy mark. You watch yourself Troian Bellisario—nothing would make me happier than to send you back to the Bantamweight Division with your tail between your legs.”

“You haven’t done it yet!” snaps Troian, “You ought to be grateful to get the fight.”

“This is why I hate managed fighters. You scheme and manipulate and take advantage of free agents like me!” Dakota says (Troian has clearly hit a nerve). “You will be sorry you tried it with Dakota Johnson!”

“YOU TELL HER, BABY!” A voice calls out from the crowd.

“MOTHER!” Dakota Johnson wails as everyone turns to see the outburst came from Dakota Johnson’s mother Melanie Griffith.

“Oh, great! Can I expect to be jumped by your mother and I kick your ass?” Troian inquires as Dakota’s face reddens.

“Just shut up, Bellisario! Mother, I keep telling you to stay out of this!” Dakota cries.

“Sorry, baby, but I just had to say something!” Melanie calls.

“Please, Mother, you promised!” Dakota cries plaintively.

“Okay, okay, but you kick her ass Dakota!” Melanie replies.

“Yes, mother, I will,”: Dakota blurts out.

“Tsk! Tsk! Lying to your mother like that. You know it’s your ass that will be kicked,” Troian mocks.

“You have no idea how much I want to slap that smirk off your face!” Dakota growls.

“I’ll just bet you do, but save it for the fight. You’re going to need it!” Troian sniffs.

“Oh, I’ll plenty for you, Bellisario! Just you wait!”

“Then see you at the C-BAD,” Troian says and strolls off the stage.

The PLP’s fans seem intrigued at one of their fav’s coming adventure in the Lightweight Divison. That there is something a grudge match atmosphere with Dakota Johnson only adds to the excitement. Come fight night we find Dakota in black bra and briefs with black thigh sheer black stockings. Troian is in black bra and gold briefs with sheer thigh-highs. White gloves for Dakota, black for Troian and both fighters have their hair pulled back in battle braids.

Troian and Dakota eye teach other coldly, but otherwise the ring instruction proceed correctly. Soon the fighters tap gloves and are in their own corners. The bell rings.

R1: Dakota and Troian move crisply to mid-ring and start firing probing punches at each other as they circle. Both varying their targets—body and heads, but then Dakota able to slap Troian’s chin with a quick right uppercut. Troian steps back to clear her head. Dakota moving in to work Troian’s torso ribs and belly. Troian grimacing as Dakota’s leather racks her midsection. She pushes out the jab to keep Dakota back. Dakota bobbing and weaving as she tries to work her way in. She’s getting jabbed in the face and chest, but her persistence is rewarded as she gets two good smacks into Troian’s jaw. Troian shuddering and back up. Dakota again punching hard to the body despite Troian’s counters. They hang in close to the bell. Judges add the points and give the opening round to Dakota Johnson by a narrow margin.

R2: Action resumes at mid-ring, but this time it is Troian showing more mobility and scoring with quick shots to Dakota’s jaw and the sides of her head, Dakota looking dazed as the head shots impact on her senses. She falls back with her guard up around her head. Troian moving with Dakota, but now bringing strong, deep hooks into her opponent’s midsection. Dakota jabbing, but Troian able to evade or at least blunt most of these by turning her shoulders into the jabs. Dakota getting backed around the ring, though she is able to avoid being pinned on the ropes. Round ends in a wide win on the judges’ cards for Troian.

R3: Just as the momentum in the bout seemed to have shifted in Troian Bellisario’s direction, Dakota Johnson strikes back with a jolting right to the point of Troian’s chin. Troian lurching back as Dakota lunges after her manages to crack Troi in the jaw with an overhang swinging left. Troian shuddering, covering up and trying to keep away from the surging Dakota. Dakota moves to try to cut off the ring, but runs into resistance from Troian’s jabbing. Dakota falling back, circling and then coming in behind a flurry of shots to the body. Troian hunches up and shuffles back, though she’s still trying to use her jab to counter. Dakota looking confident now as she circles and punches away. Troian bottled up as Dakota’s pressure offense is working nicely. Round ends in a Dakota winning the round wide.

R4: Dakota again on the attack as the new round opens and she scores with a smashing right to the head that sends Troian lurching away in distress. Dakota moves to try to cut Troian off, but as she is trying to set up in front of Troi, the PLP boxer unexpectedly lashes out a terrific right that catches Dakota between the eyes. Instantly, Dakota freezes from the impact and then Troi brings a right uppie from down around her ankles to rip into Dakota’s exposed chin KA-POW! Dakota topples backwards her right leg sticking out stiffly as she crashes onto her back. She lie there, arms over her head, legs straight out and eyelids fluttering. Troian quickly off to the neutral corner. Dakota rolling to her side and trying to push herself up, but she can’t seem to get any further as count goes passed her:

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YER OUT!”

THE WINNER TROIAN BELLIARIO DEFEATS DAKOTA JOHNSON KO4!

After: Troian Bellisario is congratulated by stablemates Ashley Benson, Lucy Hale, Shay Mitchell and Sophie Turner. Troian walks the ring waving to fans, but stops in Dakota Johnson’s corner to check on her.

“How are you doing?” Troian asks.

“My head is still ringing. Guess you were right: you beat my ass Bellisario,” Dakota says with a sigh.

“I wouldn’t say it was that bad. You had your moments,” Troian says. “Sorry I razzed you about your mom. Where is she anyway?”

“Oh, I locked her in the dressing room, She had to watch the fight on the monitor. She’ll be mad at me, but what can I do? She’s my mom.”

“I get you. Better luck in your next fight and tell your mom I hope there are no hard feelings,” Troian said. “I appreciate that she cares about you.”

“Thanks, now I better get back there and let her out,” Dakota said with a wan smile.

Troian smiles and gave Dakota Johnson a hug then headed back to her own corner.

Nice win for Troian Bellisario against a game opponent. Looks like Troian can continue her exploration of the Lightweight Division (rumors quickly spread one future target is Lookout’s Emily VanCamp who is also said to be interested in the Lightweights as well). Another disappointment for Dakota Johnson. She had some good rounds, but got sloppy with her defense in R4 and ended up paying the price as the victim of a knockout. As with most free agent fighters where and against whom she will turn up next remains uncertain.
