4 July 2018 Alexandra Daddario vs Eiza Gonzalez

Before: Eiza snapping a long dry spell with back-to-back wins over Aldridge and Heard, looking to move into title position this fall. Alexandra’s been relegated to JMDD, losing a couple of title shots to Upton and Ferguson, this is her first conventional bout in almost a year.

Ringposts-in-sand. Alexandra in blue onepeice with inverted-teardrop cleavage cutout, white gloves, hair wet and slicked down. Eiza in mismatched orange top, baby-blue bottoms, black gloves, hair back in a battle-bun.

R1: Eiza breaks through to the body early with shuddering railsplitter straight right hands, Alex finding herself back-to-ropes and clinching for relief in the opening seconds. Gonzales just setting up to work in there, pushing her head hard under Daddario’s chin, pushing her fists into that toned gut, using her shoulders and forearms to shove her prey back to reset. Alexandra taking horrendous abuse downstairs, more clinching, using her laces desperately to rouge up Eiza’s cheeks, but the Latina beauty can’t be discouraged.

R2: Alex bumping with a HARD left shoulder, almost sends Eiza sprawling, and capitalizes with a looping overhand right chaser. Punch caroms off Gonzales’ eye, sending her reeling sideways in to the ropes and ON COMES ALEXANDRA! Daddario bracing her left forearm against Eiza’s left shoulder—punching over the top with right hands as Gonzales leans against the ropes, covering up to take. Alex bashing away at the back of Eiza’s head, then bodying her girl awkwardly up against the ropes and stuffing right hands into the offered side. Daddario coming in waves, just clubbing, looping her punches, desperate to get the Mexican beauty out of there, but Gonzales showing heart, and good defensive skills to block a lot of the incoming. Eiza finishing up on shaky legs, Alexandra chesting up to let her hear it, trash talking an inch away from her face.

R3: Eiza comes storming out, now it’s Alex on her heels, ill prepared to fight backing up. Gonzales diving in behind crushing straight right hands to the body, Daddario just can’t take these punches, cringing away to the ropes. Alexandra crossing her arms along her waist, leaning forward, Eiza gets her best work done in behind the elbows, using her shoulder to prop Daddario up for more. Bashing shove and slug to the stomach, breast and chin, Gonzales with short, compact blows, walking Alex down, reaching in under the arms, muscling her back onto the ropes, then going to work on that tummy with grinding lefts and rights. Daddario winds up seated on the ropes, bending over, Gonzales able to curl little left uppercuts across overhanging breasts, doubling up into her face as Alexandra has no answers. Eiza glowing sweatily, smiling at the bell, Daddario wobbly-legged en route to her corner.

R4: Eiza jabbing, leaning in on her front foot, picking up Alexandra's chin neat the tight left uppercut. Daddario taking a good shot, but getting caught clean and often, Gonzalez very sharp as she works off her jab, puts punches together and never lets blonde set her feet. Things change down the stretch as girls trade hooks and Alex gets the better of it, bodies up, bulls Eiza to the ropes and comes up mugging! Daddario in close and sweaty, pressing Gonzalez down into the strands, then wedging in hard right hands. Eiza trying to muscle her way out, but Alexandra's got the leverage, smearing her along the ropes to the bell with crude, but effective bludgeoning action.

R5: BOOMING sidearm right chops at Eiza's waist, buckling her forward. Alex palming Gonzalez's shoulders, steering her, dipping left, fits a thudding left into cringing guts. Daddario shifts-right, chops vicious right hand down across Eiza's left bicep; dips left, snatches short left uppercut to sternum. Alexandra palming-up, pushing Gonzalez around, feeding her another merciless left to belly, riding right hand on left shoulder, right foot skidding up off canvas as punch sinks home. Eiza shuddering, baby-stepping forward: Alex digs another withering left amidships; then doubles up the left uppercut, arching her back to get it in there snug. Gonzalez hovers momentarily before dropping to all fours. Alexandra strutting to neutral corner, Eiza’s hair dangling down, a wretched sight trying to rally off her knees, but it's no go: KO5 for Alexandra Daddario!

After: Alexandra may be a spent force at JMDD, but she’s looking like she’s still able to make a name for herself inside the Tiffany division. She’s likely to be lost in the MEW/Yvonne feud, but when Straho loses she could easily position herself to bring the lightweight belts to Foxfire!
