Before: Shailene Woodley steps to the podium amid a lightning storm of camera flashes and the excitement of her time over in Scotland watching her boxing manager, Poindexter Del Crunchy work as an assistant coach for the Scottish rugby team during the Six Nation Rugby Tournament. Infinitely more important to the throngs of reporters are the rumors that Woodley is now dating a player from Fiji. “Let’s get this straight! I’m here to talk boxing! That’s it! I’ve got to climb back into this thing and give 110% to get back to where I was before we were asked to take this glorious trip with Pointy. Besides I’ve got one of the craftiest fighters in the game today to go up against in Nina. When I saw the number of fights that she’s won at such a young age I was impressed. Still I’m going to take this one home. I’ve got to get out of the gate quickly in order to regain my form and keep climbing that FCBA ladder.” 

“I’ve watched Shailene on the movies and in the ring. She’s got it in both arenas but I’m every bit as strong. I’m not afraid of the Bazz way as they call it. Climb a hill, box all day, run that Godforsaken hill again, make some pudding and then bomb a dimwitted actress with it. It’s fun over there, maybe too fun. I’m all business and it’s going to show in this fight.” Nina Dobrev’s speech is short and sweet. She knows that she’s got a talented opponent but it’s far from the first rising star she’s had to put on ice.

Rd 1 Both girls out cautiously. Each respecting the others’ skill as a fighter. Jabs from both fighters get brushed aside. Each girl too good to let the other through at the outset. Both girls moving freely about the ring. Dobrev bouncy and energetic letting her hair fly as she works her game in on Shailene. Woodley a little more studious looking for her opening, her punches showing a little more power than Nina’s. Nina jabs twice then counters her left hand with a short right uppercut that catches Woodley in the mid-section. Shailene bends a little and counters with her own jab. Nina follows up with another right hand off of a left hand jab combo. This time the right whistles by Woodley’s chin just catching it, drawing some oohs and aaahs from the crowd. Nina ducking and weaving in and out of bombs being thrown by Woodley. She’s doing a good job of avoiding the Bazz girl’s punches while mounting her own offense. The bell rings with Dobrev looking that much crisper than her opponent.

Rd 2 With no real damage done by either fighter in the first round both girls are out eager and good to go. Nina jabbing and ducking. Taking care to avoid some very powerful punching from Shailene. Bazz girl taking the crafty fighter straight on, an I’m going to knock your block harder than you can knock mine approach. She’s barreling in on Nina trying to overpower her. While Nina dances around as best she can Woodley catches her a couple of times nicking Dobrev’s face and then going to work on her body. Dobrev retreats to the ropes momentarily giving Shailene an opportunity to carve in with several uppercuts to the body while she covers up with her hands tight around her head. Woodley chases her prey around the ring slugging away as Dobrev changes strategy and gets on her bicycle and pedals. After a brief exchange in retreat Dobrev skips in with a jab, uppercut combination. Shailene digs her upper body to the right and then springs back with a strong right cross to Nina’s body. Dobrev winces and steps back watching helplessly as Woodley scores again with a left hand to the gut. Nina reels back, the cumulative effect of two quick strikes to the body. Shailene is all over Dobrev scoring upstairs now with a couple of jabs to the face. Nina stunned by the viciousness of Woodley’s blitzkrieg buckles as a right cross catches her chin. Shailene all up in Nina’s face grinding out punches at an astonishing pace. Woodley’s hair flies in the air like a shampoo commercial as she hup hup hups her way down into Dobrev’s midsection. Nina backs into the ropes trying to bounce back off at an angle to escape Shailene’s assault but the Bazz Girl has it all timed out. She steps perfectly into Nina’s escape route and deals out a three punch combination that stuns Dobrev. She’s reeling back against the ropes again taking everything that Woodley can dish out. The pace from the dark haired beauty is brutal and Nina is bobbing and weaving for her life trying to avoid a flurry of very lethal punches. The ref has to step in when the bell rings Woodley can taste the damage being done and she just doesn’t want to stop. 

Rd 3 Woodley all business at the outset of the round. Back arched, dukes up, she’s dishing out jabs in picture perfect form hoping to push back any come back from Nina. Dobrev doesn’t seem to mind. She’s circling the well postured Bazz Girl snapping off counter punches as if the previous round had never taken place. The two gals are trading punches at a grinding pace. Neither one is slowing down as the crowd gets on its feet enjoying the growing intensity of the increasingly vicious back and forth. Nina lands a nice right to Shailene’s forehead but before she can get back is met with a two punch combo that turns her head one way and then the other. Still she’s not backing down, coming back against a constant barrage even though she is trading punches two to one against her opponent. Center ring has turned into a war zone as the punching has become a blur until the two fighters clinch in a brief respite of exhaustion. Both Woodley and Dobrev are trying to land punches to the body in the now close in fighting. Woodley finds some success with her left uppercut as the bell rings taking her second round in a row.

Rd 4 The previous round has taken some wind out of both fighters. They meet at center ring and start at a slower pace. Shailene bobbing in and out lands a right hand to Nina’s jaw that excites the crowd but Dobrev shakes it off and comes back with a strong combination to the belly. Woodley lets out a loud “Oooofff” as she doubles over. Nina leaps at the opening tagging Woodley with a quick right hand to the head. The Bazz Girl is suddenly in retreat for the first time in two rounds. She puts her dukes up around her head for protection as Dobrev looks to press her advantage. She dances in planting her left leg and swinging a wide right hand roundhouse at Woodley. The Bazz Girl gets caught with enough mitt to settle back against the ropes dazed. The crowd is now going crazy overjoyed at the fact that this fight has turned into a wide open back and forth brawl. Nina moves in on Woodley pushing out short quick punches to the body and occasionally stepping upstairs and connecting with a right cross. Meanwhile Woodley is not completely helpless. She’s dodging most of the incoming traffic and slapping back with her own jabs that keep Dobrev far enough away. Still Nina is having her best round keeping the Bazz Girl at bay in the corner with some extremely effective punching and using her shoulders to muscle Woodley around. This time as the bell rings it’s Nina that turns to check on the damage she’s done to Shailene.

Rd 5 Shailene gets the heavy treatment from one, Poindexter Del Crunchy in her corner and comes out looking to turn things around. Her first punch sends that very message. Her jab not only catches Nina flush on the chin it’s perfect form. Dobrev staggers back but not before taking another punch, a right cross to the chin. She’s staggering about the ring doing any and everything she can to stay on her feet while Shailene moves in again with a strong two punch combination that sends her up against the ropes. Nina desperately hanging on as Woodley works her body with everything she has. Ref looking on intently as Shailene blasts punch after punch against gut, ribs and rack. Dobrev keeping her arms up over her head just counting the seconds until the round ends. She’s able to get off a few punches during the Woodley onslaught but they only seem to perturb Shailene even more as she looks to end the back and forth brawl. Crowd groans as the round ends without a knock out.

Rd 6 Shailene bulls right into Dobrev looking to finish what she had started in the previous round. She’s into the body again and Dobrev is showing some serious hurt taking more punches to the midsection. Still the wincing fighter is back at it herself. She’s jabbing at Woodley and throwing combinations at the muscular brunette. Both fighters circling looking for an opening. Dobrev dealing with the pain and going up top while Woodley continues to try and exploit the damage down to Nina’s midsection. Woodley takes a step forward on her left leg and goes for a right hand uppercut to the ribs when Dobrev dodges slightly back onto her right foot and then forward and DOWN GOES WOODLEY! Dobrev steps back with her own right hand catching Shailene square in the jaw and sending her down in a heap. A shocked Dobrev pumps her right hand skyward and backs off into her corner. Woodley motionless for the first 5 of the count and no way capable of getting back to her feet. Ref waves it off. It’s Nina Dobrev in an incredible shocker of a come back! Winner Round 6 Knock Out!
