Before: “I just like to fight as often as I can,” Kendall Jenner explains to the press. “I consider myself fortunate to be working for an organization that has gotten me so many fights. I have won nearly 4 times as many as I’ve been Lightweight Champion. Of course, some organizations think they have to protect their fighter, because, well, you know, she’s fragile and breaks down if you have her punched too much.”
Kendall looks right at Sophie Turner with a malicious smirk. A red flush rises in Sophie’s cheeks, but she keeps her temper waits for her turn at the podium.
“Kendall is a remarkable talent,” Sophie says choosing her words carefully, “she has enjoyed a great deal of success in a relatively short period of time. It has worked for her, I cannot dispute that, but that is not the approach I am taking. I intend to be around the FCBA for a long time and, yes, I have struggled, but I have earned my successes. They will make me a better fighter and that is something I intend to prover to what’s-her-name down there.”

Sophie Turner does have the satisfaction of recording a shutout this round.

Kendall had been trying to throw a blockbuster right, but jackknifes forward and runs into a hammering one-two to the jaw. Kendall goes tottering back, arms flailing and Sophie has no trouble bringing in a short right uppercut to the chin. KENDALL GOES DOWN HARD ON HER BUTT! Sophie stands gloating over the dazed and foggy-eyed brunette and then takes off for the neutral corner. Kendall sits there shaking her head as the referee’s count begins. Kendall seems to shake off the knockdown, but prudently waits until she hears “EIGHT!” to rise and break the count. Action resumes. Kendall on the defense for the rest of the round as she does show a good jab and uses it to strike at Sophie when she tries to come back in. Sophie looking impatient that she is unable to land the finishing punch and has to settle for winning the round wide with the first knockdown of the fight.
R6: Sophie seems determined to crush Kendall’s resistance in this round and comes roaring at her. Kendall now showing solid defense that blunts the attack with a series of quick chin shots. Referee waves Kendall back in and almost at once Sophie is thrown back by battering shots to the head she can’t evade. Sophie turn back against the ropes. She tries desperately to slide along the strands as she tries to jab Kendall back, but it is no good. THE WINNER KENDALL JENNER DEFEATS SOPHIE TURNER TKO7!
After: Kendall chats with the press with her robe over her shoulders and a towel around her neck: “Yeah, it was pretty decent fight. Turner has some power, well, okay, a LOT of power. She got me good a couple of rounds, especially the 4th and 5th, but I am more than punching power. I am TOUGH. She put me down, but I got back in the fight and beat her to a pulp 2 rounds later. Really, the ref should have stopped that fight when I knocked her down, Turner’s too stubborn for her own good, all she did by going on was take a worse beating. Maybe that’s the lesson she can take from this fight!”
Not surprisingly, it is not until the next day that Sophie Turner, speaks to the press, though only for a brief period.
“The Foxfire medical team has assured me that I am basically fine. Well, clearly you can see all the damage Kendall Jenner did to me, Those bruises you see all hurt and I expect to be spending a lot of time with the ice packs. I do not like losing, especially when I believe I was near to winning. Kendall is tough and when I couldn’t finish her—she finished me. Painful to admit, but true. So if you excuse me, I need to get some rest. I will most certainly be back and next time the results will be much better for me.”
Stirring young lightweight battle as Kendall Jenner once again demonstrated her toughness and will to win. Sophie Turner had her down, but not out. Kendall was able to shake off the trip to the canvas and take Sophie out 2 rounds later. Impressive win for the Girls Friday star. A disappointment for Foxfire’s Sophie Turner, but she did show a lot of power and talent, just not enough to beat Kendall Jenner in this bout. Future looks bright for both these youngsters, Kendall certainly has the brightest prospects (surely enough shot at the Lightweight Title is coming). Sophie looks to be on a longer, harder road, but perhaps that will make her stronger by the end of the journey. |
