BEFORE:

"I'm tired of talking about my slump," says Brenda. "Sick to death of it. And, now I'm going to END it."

"Yeah, she's hit a rough patch," says Ariel with a nod. "But, make no mistake. She's a very, very good fighter. And, none of that's going to stop me from beating her tonight."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Hungarian Rhapsody #2 by Liszt, and that can only mean that Brenda Song of the Bazz Fight Club is coming down to the ring."

Cassie: "And, tonight IS the night Brenda puts a stop to that slump."

McCarthy: "You WOULD say that, since she's your running buddy..."

O'Dell: "Song all business on the way to the ring. She's quickly inside and helped off with the robe to reveal that black number we've seen before, and that's 'I Knew You Were Trouble' pounding through the arena behind us, but, that's not Taylor Swift doing the singing, instead it's Ariel 'Dangerous Curves' Winter!"

Tess: "We've talked a lot about the Front Street flyweight division on these broadcasts, and, this is a girl who, management believes, has a chance to turn the stable's luck at that weight..."

McCarthy: "Fat chance. Front Street's flys have always been underachievers!"

O'Dell: "Winter into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing that curve-hugging white number we've seen before, and the crowd showing plenty of appreciation. Ladies about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Ariel. Mac?"

McCarthy: "As much as I hate to pick Scerbo's buddy, Front Street flyweights suck. Song."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "Brenda. No doubt about it."

O'Dell: "And, there's the bell. Winter wants to work inside, and that's no surprise, but Brenda would rather this fight take place at middle distances. Song giving a little ground, moving the feet, turning with, using that unorthodox style of hers to make things difficult on the younger fighter."

Cassie: "That's the hardest thing about fighting Brenda. Punches come from odd places."

O'Dell: "Indeed, they do, and Ariel seeing that early, as she's getting caught with some shots she's absolutely not seeing coming. Winter able to close now and work some body, but, Song ties up, slips back and to her right, gets some space, lands a nice combination."

McCarthy: "Hate to say this about Scabbo's running buddy, but this is some slick stuff Song's doing."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Winter stepping to again, landing a couple of hooks to the body. Song again slipping away, lands a nice combination that forces Ariel to cover up. Winter forward again, hooks the body and there's the bell. Not a blowout by any means, but no question it's Song's round."

Tess: "And, Brenda gets the 10-9 lead."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Back to action and our fighters working to dictate terms again. Winter wants to close, bang, work body. Song wants those middle distances where she can use her boxing skills. Brenda a good combination there, but Ariel now stepping to and HAMMERING away to the body."

Tess: "Flyweight isn't a division where most girls work body, but Winter's one who does a lot of it."

O'Dell: "And, she does it very well, while Song is again scoring well with both hands, catching Winter clean with punches coming from places where the younger fighter doesn't expect leather to be coming from. Ariel backed up briefly by a good flurry, but she's right back in Brenda's grill."

McCarthy: "Watch low blows in there. I'm sure this girl has learned from CAMPBELL..."

O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds of the second round and not a lot in it. Winter thumping Song to the body. Brenda tying Ariel up around the head, slipping away to the side, landing a nice one-two. Ten seconds left. Ariel again stepping in, lands a hook to the ribs and there's the bell. Nobody able to separate. Even round, I think."

Cassie: "Which leaves Brenda in the lead 20-19 after two."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Pattern set as we begin the third. Winter trying to close, square up, bring power to bear on Song. Brenda not having any, using her skills and unorthodox style to slow Ariel down, frustrate her attempts to get any kind of sustained offense going, and, Cassie, this is the kind of thing that's worked for Brenda so often in the past..."

Cassie: "Absolutely is. She's ahead on the cards right now and forcing Winter into her game."

O'Dell: "And, while Ariel IS having her moments, getting in close and working some body, landing the odd hard shot to the head, she's mostly doing a lot of hard work to get square and taking some solid combinations from Song while she's doing it, combinations like THAT one that snapped Winter's head back!"

McCarthy: "This is why I picked Scabbo's buddy. Winter might be a good fighter with the right trainers, but she'll never learn anything from Weirdo's pack of losers!"

O'Dell: "Final twenty seconds of the round. Ariel steps to, hooks the ribs. Brenda ties up, Winter levers her, digs a hook to the midsection before Song slips away and lands a nice combination that gets Ariel's attention. Five seconds to go, and there's the bell. Competitive round, but Song."

Tess: "And, Brenda's now up 30-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Song again slippery as we start the fourth. Winter staying patient to this point, not getting too aggressive or sloppy. She's working the feet, trying to square and LANDING A HARD RIGHT HAND THAT HURT BRENDA! Song wobbled and Ariel now letting the hands go in a big way!"

McCarthy: "Just a lucky punch, but it's got Brenda in trouble!"

O'Dell: "Winter backs Song into the ropes and now GOES TO WORK on that body. Brenda keeping the hands high, trying to ride out the storm, and that's putting the body on sale. Ariel going upstairs here and there, but mostly just PUNISHING the older woman to the belly and ribs..."

Cassie: "And, that's OK with Brenda at this point. She's a Bazz fighter, meaning she's in great shape and can take a lot of work to the chassis."

O'Dell: "And, she's taking it now as we head down the stretch. Referee's been watching closely, but never been close to stepping in, because ninety percent of what Ariel's been doing has been body work. Ten seconds to go. Good right hand to the head by Winter and there's the bell. Ariel, wide. But Brenda still on her feet."

Tess: "And, still up 39-38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Fifth begins with Winter coming right at Song, looking to follow up on last round. Brenda giving ground, angling, playing slick defense, back to what she was doing so well before the big right hand last round and THERE'S A BIG RIGHT HAND FROM SONG! Brenda catches Winter and wobbles her!"

Cassie: "THAT'S what I'm TALKING about!"

O'Dell: "Ariel covering up and DROPPED BY A LEFT HOOK! Winter dropped to her back as Brenda heads for a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Six. Ariel sits up at seven. Eight. Nine. Winter to her feet. Referee going to give her the mandatory and then waive on Brenda..."

Tess: "And Song looking like she's planning on finishing right NOW."

O'Dell: "Certainly does! She's letting Ariel have it with both hands, driving her against the cables and WORKING HER OVER! Referee looking in again, and, this time, he IS close to stepping in, as Song's landing hard shot. Ariel jabbing back in spots, tying up, running clock. Ten seconds to go in the round. Song works a little body, lands a nice uppie that shook Winter, but there's the bell. 10-8, Brenda."

McCarthy: "And, Song's lead is now 49-46 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "Song right back to work as we start the sixth. She's backing Ariel up with hard shot to the head. Winter keeping the guard up, giving ground, still looking a little unsteady. Brenda very aggressive right now, pressing her advantage and GETTING DROPPED BY A RIGHT HAND!"

Tess: "WOW! Came out of NOWHERE!"

O'Dell: "Certainly seemed to! A BIG right hand counter by Ariel and Brenda splashes to her back. Winter to a neutral corner. Referee's count at three. Four. Five. Song sits up. Six. Rolls to all fours. Seven. Eight. Brenda to her feet. Referee going to give her the mandatory and then waive on Ariel..."

McCarthy: "Winter is COMING!"

Tess: "Now long have you been waiting to use THAT line?"

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Walmart!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, as Ariel backs up Brenda with flurry after flurry to the head. Winter sitting down on everything now, really letting the leather fly. Song managing well, giving ground, keeping the hands up, staying off the ropes, countering in spots. Ariel scoring big, but she's not going to finish. Five seconds left. Song a good right hand and there's the bell. 10-8 Winter, but she wanted more."

Cassie: "And, Brenda's still up 57-56."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "Winter now pouring forward to start the seventh. She's determined to follow up on that big sixth round, but Song again playing slick defense, countering, slowing Ariel down. Winter wants to be careful here, got to remember what happened in the fifth. But, she's damning any and all torpedoes at the moment..."

McCarthy: "What are you TALKING about?"

Cassie: "For the love of...OPEN A BOOK, MAC!"

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Scabbo!"

O'Dell: "Brenda a nice right hand counter and WINTER ROCKS HER WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT! Song steppin' in fence post holes as Ariel goes all in again. Winter letting the hands go in a big way and DOWN GOES SONG! Brenda dropped to her right side by an absolutely BRUTAL right hook!"

Tess: "Going to take some doing to get up from THAT one!"

O'Dell: "Winter to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Song rolls to her belly. Pushes to hands and knees at seven. Eight. Nine. Brenda getting to her feet...TEN! Referee waiving it off! Says Song did not beat the count and it was close. Bazz corner protesting vociferously..."

McCarthy: "Vowhatnow?"

Cassie: "USE THE DICTIONARY APP ON YOUR COMPUTER YOU BIMBO! Brenda was UP at ten!"

McCarthy: "You LITTLE..."

O'Dell: "Calm down, Mac, because this fight and this night are over and your winner by KO7 is Ariel 'Dangerous Curves' Winter!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Ariel Winter, and, Ariel, that was some kind of fight!"

Ariel (nodding): "She's as good as anyone I've ever fought, no question about that. Very, very difficult to deal with. Had me in trouble a couple of times."

Tess: "As good as ANYONE you've fought?"

Ariel (nodding): "You heard me. As good as ANYONE I've fought. She's been in a little slump, sure, but that's going to end, and soon, because she's a match for anyone in this division."
