The Man In The Hat sits, as usual, at the center of the dais. To his left are Kristen Stewart, Kat Dennings, Chloe Bennet, Britney Spears, Neve Campbell, Pink, Grace Park, and Alison Brie. To his right sit Jennette McCurdy, Ariel Winter, Antje Utgaard, Jewel, Mariska Hargitay, Leelee Sobieski, Kesha, and Kat Graham.
Man In The Hat: "OK. As usual, before we get to questions, there are some people I want to thank. Let's start, as usual, with Bazz. Winter/Song was an excellent fight, and an excellent fight is what you get when you put a Bazz fighter on the card. I also want to thank our indy fighters, who are the backbone of Asylum. And, last but certainly not least, the FCBA Commission for sanctioning these fights and making Asylum possible. Now. Questions. Cable Boy. Go!"
HBO Reporter: "Let's start with your bantamweights. Bantam has, traditionally, been your strongest division, and we saw, arguably, your two best tonight..."
Man In The Hat: "We have an embarrassment of riches at bantam, that's correct. Four Aces, as I've said. And, two of those aces are sitting on this dais. Both showed you why they merit that designation tonight. Chloe and Kat are girls who can not only beat you, but do it in different ways. They're girls who are right at the top of the bantamweight division. One of them has worn the belts, and the other is right in the middle of the discussion. I was very pleased with both tonight, and that's no surprise. I almost always am. Cable Boy II. Go!
Showtime Reporter: "I've got to admit, I'm surprised the first question wasn't about Utgaard, who's been a story around here lately..."
Man In The Hat: "Not sure if there's a question in there somewhere, but let me answer what I THINK you're asking..."
(Laughter)
Man In The Hat: "We had some issues with Antje's last outing. I have NO issues with her work tonight. None. What we saw tonight is what we've been seeing from her. It's what we WANT to see. It's what we NEED to see. Tess, dear, go ahead."
Tess: "You had three flyweights in action tonight, but I want to concentrate on the one who's also coming off a loss, Jennette. You've said before that you can learn important things about a fighter by what she does after a loss..."
Man In The Hat: "You know, it's nice to know SOMEBODY listens to me around here..."
(Laughter)
Man In The Hat: "You absolutely DO learn a lot about a fighter by how she handles a loss. And, what you saw from Jennette tonight is EXACTLY what you want to see in a situation like that. As you know, I was high on Ms. McCurdy long before we managed to get her on our roster. And, if anything, I'm higher on her now. Smackeroo. Dinner time. Take us there!"
Reporter: "Speaking of flyweights, you had two other successes at the weight tonight with K-Stew and Ariel..."
Man In The Hat: "We did, indeed. I've said this before and I'll say it again. I think our flyweight division is, right now, in the best shape it's ever been in. Add Jane Levy to the three girls you saw tonight, and we have quite a bit of depth there. And, I think all four of those girls have what it takes to be Front Street's first flyweight champion. And, for, maybe, the first time since we started this stable in 2010, I'm just about convinced that the first girl to win those straps for Front Street is on this roster right now. Now. Dinner time. Tess! Smackey! Limo!" |
