Intro: Doutzen Kroes and Behati Prinsloo step onto the beach of Copacabana in Rio De Janeiro to fight it out and look to take a step towards the welterweight title. Doutzen is 33 years old; she stands 5'10 and holds a record of 12 wins, 11 by knockout and 7 defeats, she is a former BBU lightweight champion. Behati is 29 years old, she stands 5'10 ½ and holds a record of 5 wins, all by knockout and 3 defeats. The fighters were interviewed at their gyms, with Doutzen coming out the locker room with a smile on her face, waving the press over. "Hey guys, so you want my opinions on Behati, I've gotten to know her the last few years thanks to modelling and know that she is one of the kindest people you could meet" says Doutzen. She continues "but I have also seen her in the ring, she is like a totally different person, so full of anger that it is something to watch" Laughing, she finishes by saying "but I'm the most fearsome fighter she has face so far, I promise to buy her a drink as an apology for how the beating I have to give her" winking as she heads off to train. While Behati is finishing doing her strength work with the weights, wiping herself down with a towel and nodding to the press as she heads to them. "I can't believe Doutzen and her management want to me to fight her, it's a dream come true to fight someone who has been a champion in the ring and someone I look up to on the catwalk" smiling as she says that. She gets told that Doutzen says she get her a drink if she beats her, chuckling; Behati replies "well I hope to be the one buying her the drinks afterwards then, while I like her, I am in this to win and prove my old stable was wrong to cut me" Her coach waving for her to go train, blowing a kiss to the cameras as she jogs off to go do more work for the fight. Fighting time; out comes Doutzen with Nicole Ritchie, Nicole is wearing a black bikini with white trim as she follows her fighter, who is smiling as she heads to the ring set into the sand and the crowd in the bleachers. She is wearing an orange bikini with a pair of red boxing gloves painted as if they are hanging from her top down onto her stomach, she has a pair of red gloves on and her hair is braided. Clinging into the ring; Doutzen bows to each side of the ring before she heads to her corner to warm up, Nicole reminding her "tonight is not about friendship, it is about winning!" As Doutzen nods. Behati now jogs into the area as she is all smiles, waving to the fans as she heads to the ring with her coach jogging behind her. She is wearing a red bikini and gloves, she has a heart with an arrow through it on her left breast, her hair is in a simple ponytail as she gets into the ring. Once she is in her corner; she mounts the bottom ropes and raises her arms in the air as the fans cheer her on, hopping down and limbering up as her expression turns serious. The fighters come to the ring centre and lock eyes as they both show this is all business to them, the referee going through the instructions and the fighters nodding along. When asked to touch gloves; respectfully they touch them and jog back to their corners, ready to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.
Round 1: Both fighters bump a fist together and then get to work behind their jabs, for welterweights both are light on their feet as they move around the ring and trade jabs. Behati looks to land a jab and straight; Doutzen dodges with some nifty head movement, countering with a right cross to the face. It's Doutzen who is winning the early exchanges, parrying punches and countering with straight punches onto the face of the younger fighter. But Behati feints with a left and lands a straight onto the nose of her opponent, using her fast hands to start catching Doutzen more cleanly. The fighters each finding gaps through the others mitts to their faces as they kick up sand on the move, having similar reaches means that they are cancelling each other out for the most part. Till Doutzen slips under a straight and uses her left to nudge Behati onto her heels, slamming several body shots in as she forces Behati onto the ropes. The finish to the round sees the fighters let their hands go, trading stiff shots but Doutzen is landing the harder punches judging by the way that Behati's head is being turned side to side. As the bell rings; the fighters nod at each other to show respect, the Lookout corner looking the happier after a strong opening round for Doutzen. Round 2: The fighters start off trading jabs again; circling as they look for openings as they move, Behati landing the cleaner punches as her hand speed catches Doutzen out. The veteran changes up her tactics; dipping her left shoulder, Behati thinks it's a left punch coming, when instead a right hook smacks across the face of Behati. Doutzen pushes forwards to work on the inside; head down as she bangs her fists into the body of Prinsloo, who has to cover up as she is forced on the outside of the ring. The younger fighter gives Doutzen a small shove to open up space between them, Behati boxing more off the back foot as Kroes stalks her. A missed straight by Behati leaves her open to an overhand left that lands on the side of Behati's head, allowing Doutzen to drive forwards with punches smacking into the face of the Namibian. Doutzen knocks Behati onto the ropes; with Behati trying to fight off the ropes, leading to a heated exchange as both women groan when being hit, Doutzen keeps her opponent pinned to the ropes with three punches to her face just as the bell rings to end the round. The Dutch lass looks all smiles as she jogs back to her corner, Nicole telling her "great job so far, keep using those smarts babe" In the opposite corner; Behati is looking to her coach for advice, they tell her to use her physical advantages to win this, that she is faster and has better agility. Round 3: This time as the action begins, Doutzen stalks Behati back; she is finding it hard to land as cleaner as before due to Behati movement. The younger woman uses her speed to dodge and counter Doutzen, slamming her punches through gaps left in the Dutch beauties guard to her face. When Doutzen looks to charge her opponent; she ends up getting sidestepped and hit on her face with two punches. Behati fans starting to chant for her as they can see that she is proving too elusive for Doutzen, who is trying to pin her onto a set of ropes to stop her movement. A double jab lands squarely on the nose of Doutzen as Behati looks to come on with a harder shot now, just missing with a right hook as Doutzen leans back and the Lookout fighter lands a straight right onto her face. With Doutzen looking to come in tight to keep at Behati on the heels; with both fighters landing hard single punches as seconds tick away in the round. The bell rings with the girls head past each other to get to their corners, Doutzen not letting herself get too worried yet, Nicole wiping her down and talks to her what she needs to change up. Behati on the other hand looks much happier; her coach telling her "that's it, she can not match you, keep positive and the win will come" Round 4: Behati looks as smooth at the start of the round as she was in the last round, dodging punches from her opponent and countering with punches slamming into the face of Doutzen. The veteran looks annoyed as she has to tighten her guard and wait for her chance, allowing Prinsloo to dance around her and slam her punches off her gloves. Till Doutzen sees her chance; parrying a straight and stepping in with an uppercut that Behati leans out the way of, but Doutzen keeps stepping forwards and slams a left into her opponents face. Behati is forced back towards the ropes with punches slamming off her gloves, she has to sidestep her way off the ropes to get back into space. Doutzen keeps trying to keep the pressure on Behati, she ends up getting a double jab onto her nose to match her think about charging forwards. With the Namibian being able to get back on the move and smacking Doutzen to her face and body with rangy punches. Late in the round; Doutzen deflects a right cross and steps in with a straight that opens up Behati to a left across her chin. Doutzen coming on strong in the final seconds, till the bell rings to end the round, both women jogging back to their corners and both look up for this. They chat away to their coaches as they are cleaned up, knowing that they are even up again on the scoreboard, with their coaches telling them to step it up a level. Round 5: Both fighters look to boss the action from the off; Behati on the move, looking to establish her jab as she bobs and weaves around the punches from Doutzen. The Dutch stunner though is timing her attacks better, deflecting a jab and landing a left into the ribs of Behati, followed by a right up top to knock her back behind her guard. Now it's Doutzen pushing forwards with her punches knocking Behati onto the ropes, where they slug it out to get the fans on their feet. Doutzen is winning the exchange as Behati's volume of punches decreases and she is forced to pull her into a clinch, where the fighters grapple on the ropes. Once apart; Behati able to dig her fists into the face of Doutzen, with blood trickling from the lips of Kroes, Prinsloo stepping inside to land to the ribs of her opponent as she tries to push her back. The fighters going toe to toe late in the round as they are desperate to win the round, they nearly clash heads as they come inside, leading to them to clinching up. The referee separates them and the round ends with both landing single punches to the others face, they look at the crowd as they get cheered, before heading to their corners to get cleaned up. Round 6: Back out the come with both looking to drill their jab right into the others face, neither woman is dancing as much on their toes now, they are looking for a big punch to change this fight into their favour. Doutzen feints with her left, watching where Behati moves to and she comes inside with a right across the top of her opponents head, then slips under a counter right to slam in two body shots. Behati looks to move back and try to counter Doutzen coming in; INSTEAD HER STRAIGHT PUNCH IS COUNTERED AND DOUTZEN LUNGES IN WITH A RIGHT THAT SMACKS BEHATI SWEET AS A NUT ON HER CHIN, DOWN GOES BEHATI WITH SAND FLYING UP IN THE AIR OFF HER FALL! The crowd look stunned; Behati is groaning as the count begins, 1...2...3...4 she just lays spread eagle as, 5...6...7 as the count heads along 8...9...10 till she is knocked out in brutal one punch fashion.
Winner Doutzen Kroes KO Round 6
After: A big win for Doutzen as she raises her arm in the air to show the crowd the fist that just detonated off the chin of Behati. Who is coming around and staring up at the sky; wondering what the hell just hit her as she spits her gumshield out onto the sand. The ringside doctor rushes into the crowd, checking on Behati as she is helped to sit up slowly, even Doutzen comes to kneel next to her and check on her. Both women smile after Behati gets the all clear that she will be OK, with Behati telling Doutzen "I hate losing but you definitely cleaned my clock, so no complaints off me" Doutzen thanking her in reply and admitting that Behati was hard to work out, with both women hugging each other and smiling. Soon Behati is helped to stand up by her coach and by Doutzen, with Behati helped out the ring so she can get cleaned up and put her feet up. While in the ring; Doutzen gets her hand raised to a loud cheer, some tears run down her eyes as she blows kisses to the crowd. Doutzen and her fans hoping this is the win that kick starts her FCBA adventure now to the top, as Nicole is full of praise as they leave the ring to get cleaned up and celebrate in the local bars. |
