BEFORE:
"It's cute that Lili's gotten this big reputation ever since she started boxing in the FCBA," says Madelaine with a smile. "But. On the set of 'Riverdale', we ALL know who the queen is. And, it's NOT Lili."
"It's funny," says a hard-eyed Lili. "All the chances she had, Madelaine never ONCE stepped up to me. And, now she's going to act like some kind of tough girl. Well. There's not going to be any acting tonight. This is going to be real. All TOO real for Madelaine."
ROUND ONE:
O'Dell: "Back at ringside, and that's 'Milkshake', but the version you're hearing is not by Kelis, but by the young lady coming to the ring right now, Madelaine Petsch!"
McCarthy: "And, I hear, from my peachable sources, that Petsch absolutely IS the queen on the 'Riverdale' set, and that all the other girls are afraid to mess with her!"
Cassie: "Well, with sources like THOSE, you must be right!"
McCarthy: "Apparently, you're learning by hanging around with ME, Scabbo!"
O'Dell (sighing): "Petsch into the ring and helped off with the robe to reveal a black bikini, and that's 'What I've Done' by Linkin Park you hear booming through the arena, and here comes the latest addition to the Front Street bantamweight division, 'Diamond' Lili Reinhart!"
Tess: "And, despite having been on the Front Street roster since April, this is Reinhart's first appearance here at Asylum, as she made her Front Street debut on pay-per-view, something pretty rare for girls in Wiz's stable..."
Cassie: "But, after blasting out Melissa Benoist in her fight a few weeks before signing, it was clear she was ready for pay-per-view."
O'Dell: "Reinhart into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve. She's wearing a white bikini with blue and gold pinstripes and the crowd clearly likes what it's seeing..."
McCarthy: "Don't make me talk about the low standards in this burg..."
O'Dell: "Aaaannnndddd, we're about ready for some picks. Tess likes Lili. Mac?"
McCarthy: "As I said, my sources are PEACHable. Petsch."
O'Dell: "Cassie?"
Cassie: "I agree with Tess."
O'Dell: "Here we go and these two AFTER ONE ANOTHER RIGHT AWAY! No feeling out. No recon. They are trading BOMBS in the middle of the ring! Definitely some bad blood here, ladies, as blonde and redhead REEF heavy leather at one another in the first thirty seconds of the contest!"
McCarthy: "Now THIS is my kind of fight. 'I hate you and I'm going to beat your face in!' We need more of THIS in the FCBA!"
O'Dell: "AND THERE'S A RIGHT HAND, LILI! Madelaine staggered, stumbling backward, nearly going down! Reinhart all in, though she was pretty much all in the entire time. She pounds the redhead back into the ropes and just LETS HER HAVE IT WITH BOTH HANDS! Petsch in DEEP trouble!"
Cassie: "Just hanging on now. Better hope the referee doesn't stop this thing..."
O'Dell: "He's looking closely as Lili continues the barrage of leather. Petsch in a high guard, jabbing back here and there, mindful that she needs to be doing SOMEthing, or the ref's going to stop it for sure. Ten seconds to go. GOOD right hand, Lili. Madelaine ties up. Referee breaks them and there's the bell. Reinhart wide in the first."
Tess: "And, she's got a 10-9 lead, but, if this is the way this is going to go, there won't be a need for cards..."
ROUND TWO:
O'Dell: "Fighters right back after one another in the second. Reinhart backing up the redhead with hard flurries and A RIGHT HAND COUNTER FROM PETSCH! Lili's wobbled and here comes Madelaine! Petsch now letting the blonde have it with both hands, and this thing's turned a complete 180..."
Tess: "Like I said, we aren't going to need cards."
O'Dell: "Reinhart quickly backed to the ropes and covering up, and it's a SEETHING Madelaine who's absolutely POUNDING her to both head and body. Petsch getting out a ton of hate right now, and paying back the blonde for that first round. Lili in desperate shape as she hangs on in a high guard..."
McCarthy: "Looking right down the barrel of her first FCBA loss!"
O'Dell: "Referee looking in closely. Lili leaning back in the ropes, putting that body on sale. Petsch buying, thumping away down there, but only in spots. She's concentrating upstairs, looking for the finisher. Doesn't look like she'll find it. Five seconds to go. One more right hand from Madelaine and there's the bell! Petsch. Wide."
Cassie: "And, we're even at 19."
ROUND THREE:
O'Dell: "Third begins with Petsch right back after a still-wobbly Lili. Madelaine's got everything working now, and she's using it to punish her 'Riverdale' rival in a big, big way. Reinhart taking fire from seemingly everywhere, giving ground, keeping the guard high, doing almost nothing offensively."
McCarthy: "And, if that referee weren't bought and paid for, he'd have STOPPED this already!"
O'Dell: "He's definitely going to be looking in closely now that Reinhart's trapped on the cables again. Body on sale cheap, as Lili is in a tight earmuff, but Petsch doing very little shopping in those aisles, instead keeping the focus upstairs, looking for the finisher. And, she's landing tons of shot that might do the trick."
Cassie: "Lili moving the head and shoulders, rolling with some of this, picking some off."
O'Dell: "But, she's still taking WAAAAY too much leather. Petsch giving those sturdy legs a serious test, but, so far, Reinhart's gams are passing it. Final seconds of the third round running off. Madelaine continuing to bang away, but Lili's going to last it out. There's the bell. Shutout for the redhead."
Tess: "And, Madelaine goes up 29-28."
ROUND FOUR:
O'Dell: "Petsch continuing to dominate the blonde as we roll into the third. Lili still unsteady, and the continued barrages of fire being thrown her way by the redhead aren't helping in that department. Petsch sitting down on absolutely everything, not worrying at ALL about Reinhart's counters."
Tess: "And, that's because the blonde isn't throwing enough of them and doesn't have enough behind them."
McCarthy: "That may be the first smart thing Walmart's said in 2018!"
O'Dell: "Lili trying to hold canvas in spots, but not getting it done. Madelaine continues backing the blonde up, hammering away at her like she's done since early in the second. The only thing the redhead's not been able to accomplish is finishing this thing, but she's likely getting closer and closer to doing just that."
Cassie: "Might just be. A lot of knockouts aren't one punch or flurry, but an accumulation of damage."
O'Dell: "And, there's no doubt damage is building up. Petsch backs Reinhart to the ropes yet again and has at her. Lili back to the high guard, leaning into the ropes. She's countering a bit more now, but it's still all Madelaine all the time. There's the bell. Fourth in the books. Petsch. Wide."
McCarthy: "And, the newb leads the Dancing Hooker 39-37."
ROUND FIVE:
O'Dell: "Petsch continuing the offensive, but Lili firing back now, holding her ground and we've got ANOTHER firefight in the middle of the ring! Blonde seems to have shaken the worst of the damage, and she's getting heavy leather on target for the first time since the opening stanza, Mac!"
McCarthy: "But, Madelaine's still landing a ton of hard shot herself."
O'Dell: "No doubt about it. Nobody taking a backward step as the ladies continue to hammer away at one another, heads being snapped back, sweat flying, crowd into it in a big way. GOOD right hand, Lili, but Petsch fires right back with one of her own, and, once again, plenty of hate fueling the action..."
Cassie: "No matter who wins this fight, both of these fighters are going to know they've been IN a fight when this is over..."
O'Dell: "Final thirty seconds of an absolutely WILD round, and neither fighter slowing down. BOOMING right from Petsch, but Reinhart takes it and HAMMERS RIGHT BACK with a short right hook that backs Madelaine up a step. And, there's the bell. Ref leaping in between the fighters just in case! Close. Reinhart."
Tess: "And, it's a one-point fight at the half, 48-47, Petsch."
ROUND SIX:
O'Dell: "Sixth begins with the ladies getting right back into one another's faces in the middle of the ring and REINHART RINGS UP PETSCH WITH A STRAIGHT RIGHT! Madelaine's knees do a shimmy and now Lili's winging away with both hands, hammering her rival back into the ropes!"
Cassie: "This fight has been batcrap crazy!"
O'Dell: "And, for the second time tonight, it's Petsch trapped on the cables as the blonde thumps away at her to both head and body. Lili DIGGING at Madelaine's ribs and midsection. Petsch keeping that guard high, and, for good reason, as Reinhart goes right back to work up top."
McCarthy: "Might have been a couple of low blows there! Wouldn't be surprised. Campbell's her trainer!"
O'Dell: "Don't think so, Mac, but there are plenty of heavy punches landing, and the referee again looking in closely as we head into the final seconds. GOOD right from Lili that sent Madelaine stumbling along the ropes, but there's the bell! A shutout for Lili, but Madelaine still standing at the end of six."
Tess: "And, we are even at 57."
ROUND SEVEN:
O'Dell: "Reinhart all about finishing now. Lili stepping right to, letting Madelaine have it with both hands. Petsch still unsteady, can't hold canvas, forced to retreat. She's keeping the guard up, trying to slow the blonde down with jabs, but Reinhart walking right through them and DROPPING PETSCH WITH A RIGHT HAND!"
Tess: "Wow! She landed that one pretty clean!"
O'Dell: "Indeed, she did and she blew the redhead to her back with it. Lili to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Madelaine sits up. Six. Seven. Eight. Petsch to her feet. Referee going to give her the mandatory...thinks about it, waives on Reinhart and HERE COMES LILI!"
McCarthy: "Ref might not have done this kid any favors letting the fight go on..."
O'Dell: "Doesn't look that way! Lili hammering away at Madelaine, driving her immediately into the ropes and then training the big guns on her. Petsch taking an absolute HAMMERING on the cables, ROCKED with a right hand that sends her stumbling, NAILED with an uppercut that shakes the knees and IT'S OVER! Referee leaping in to bundle the redhead to safety and it's OVER and your winner by TKO7 is 'Diamond' Lili Reinhart!"
AFTER:
O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"
Tess: "I have our winner, Lili Reinhart, and, Lili, not much finesse in there tonight..."
Lili: "Look. She doesn't like me, and I don't like HER. And, this was about proving superiority. Period. And, I just proved it."
Tess: "You've had one of the faster starts for a Front Street fighter. People are comparing you to Chloe Bennet..."
Lili (shaking her head): "Well. That's flattering. But, I'm NOT Chloe Bennet. I'm Lili Reinhart. And, people are going to find out that's plenty good enough."
