The Man In The Hat sits, as usual, at the center of the dais. To his left are Lili Reinhart, Jane Levy, Serinda Swan, Britney Spears, Neve Campbell, Pink, Grace Park, and Alison Brie. To his right sit Gemma Arterton, Katy Perry, Charlotte McKinney, Jewel, Mariska Hargitay, Leelee Sobieski, Kesha, and Kat Graham.
Man In The Hat: "OK. As usual, before we get to questions, there are some people I want to thank. Let's start, as usual, with Bazz, our regular guests who always provide an excellent fight. I also want to thank our indy fighters, who are the backbone of Asylum. And, last but certainly not least, the FCBA Commission for sanctioning these fights and making Asylum possible. Now. Questions. Cable Boy. Go!"
HBO Reporter: "Let's start at lightweight. Nice wins for Serinda and Gemma tonight, and some people have said Gemma needed that victory after the upset loss her last time out..."
Man In The Hat: "Well, obviously, you don't like to get into losing streaks. But. As far as we were concerned, Gems did not NEED the win. She wanted it, wanted to get back on track as soon as possible, because, she's definitely looking to get those lightweight titles back, but, regardless of tonight's result, we knew Gems was fine. Upsets happen. They don't change the fact that Gems is an elite light in her prime. As for Serinda, she's another champion we have at that weight, and, she's also looking for a shot at the lineal belts. And, again, getting a result tonight keeps her on track. Cable Boy II. Go!
Showtime Reporter: "Levy looked good tonight..."
Man In The Hat: "We've got some things happening at flyweight. For a long time, it was K-Stew and then some other girls who were looking to get to the top level. That's changing. Jane's a former college athlete, a girl with tons of ability, a girl who gets result after result. She's pushing into that top tier. And, she's not the only girl in our flyweight division doing that. Tess, dear, go ahead."
Tess: "Lili Reinhart. That was personal in there."
Man In The Hat (nodding): "As you know, we mostly stay away from that kind of stuff here. Mostly. But. Sometimes, you can't. Sometimes a fighter NEEDS to go do something and you have to let that happen. Lili needed this. And, we let this happen. And she did not disappoint us. No surprise. She never does. Smackeroo. Dinner time. Take us there!"
Reporter: "Let's talk welters. Nice wins for Charlotte tonight and Katy had a dogfight.."
Man In The Hat: "Let me stress again. Katy is NOT a welter, she's working at BOTH welter and light. As for the fight, Woll is the real deal, as the fight with McKinney proved. And, tonight proved it again. Katy's a girl who gave Atkinson all she wanted. She's also beaten girls like Rhoda and Upton, among other welters. And, Woll takes her into the tenth and gives her everything she wants. That tells you a TON about Woll. As for Charlotte, we think, like Katy, she's an elite fighter. And, we're gonna give her some chances to prove that again soon. Now. Dinner time. Tess! Smackey! Limo!" |
