BEFORE: It's payback time for Nina Agdal who still hasn't gotten over the fact Brooklyn Decker knocked her out twelve months ago on the previous edition of Boiling Point PPV. While the LCA Alpha Blonde has switched her focus to Hannah Ferguson lately, Nina has to settle for the inferior member of the Bradenton-based stable - Lily Aldridge. However Aldridge is anything but a mere journeywoman, she battled the impressive Anllela Sagra for Ice Hotel silverware on the last PPV and vows to spoil Nina's party tonight.

Allthough most of the VIX events take place in California, Long Beach is actually Lily's backyard and she enjoys a standing ovation from the partisan crowd when she heads towards the ring flanked by head trainer Claudia Schiffer. Meanwhile Nina's guarded by coach Steve Boyd and she truly means business here; she refuses to touch gloves with the Sports Illustrated stalwart and vows to "punch her ugly mug into a bloody mess"! Lily stares at her if Nina spoke those words in Danish rather than English and we're ready to go!

Round 1:
Nina wants to establish early control and charges at the American who's unwilling to slug it out in close range and develops Odette Yustman-like approach simply fending off the Danish attack with quick footwork and bendy hips. This only fuels Nina's assault but she skims off the high guard too often to make a difference and lacks a well-timed switch to the body. The revenge mission needs to be put on hold as Nina grows frustrated over the minimal progress but eventually lands a solid combo deep into the final minute when Lily seemingly thought she was sage. That one-two wobbles her towards the turnbuckle but Agdal runs out of time to deliver more juice and barks in anger when the ref pulls her away from the brunette.

Round 2:
More of the same in the second but this time Lily responds to the Danish charge and both models exchange quick shots to the body before circling backwards. Nina remains in pursuit mode but doesn't make any progress upstairs and now Aldridge takes a page out of stablemate Odette Yustman's playbook and stymies the blonde with quick punches over the top. Agdal's right hand keeps dropping too low and she gets rattled from that side which halts her attacks even further to the point Lily clobbers her to the body and drives into the VIX corner where coach Boyd begins to lose his patience. Nina clinches the American late in the going but that was a poor round from the betting favorite.

Round 3:
Lily feels confident after that second round display but she hasn't reached the Yustman levels yet and Nina clocks her when she makes a wrong turn and literally turns into a sagging punch on the jaw! Ugh! Lily takes a couple of steps back but Agdal's right there and smacks her over the top to bully her backwards in a flush; Aldridge doesn't have the sharpness required to avoid getting trapped and she gets pinned to the ropes with the Danish model blasting her to the body when she finally realizes there's more to this game than just relentless head-hunting. Aldridge fails to escape the heat and has to clinch her foe but the ref throws her a lifeline and drags Nina away due to stalemate which doesn't sit well with the VIX entourage. Hey, welcome to Long Beach, folks! Lily earns free space for pennies and takes advantage of it while Agdal shakes her head in disgust before settling for the duck & weave run to the bell.

Round 4:
Another quick pounce allows Nina to connect with the brunette's jaw but Lily bumps her off through jug-to-jug contact and the blonde struggles to haul in more shots afterwards. She keeps the American at bay with otherwise meaningless jabs but she just can't accept the slow play in the ring forever and jumps into another frantic attack half way through the round. Lily goes all Odette again and dodges the hooking bullets before a crunching right over the tops nails Agdal on the lips and wobbles her forward. Aldridge promptly gut-checks her and thumps back to the ropes where she cleans out her tummy to leave VIX coaching staff seething at the bell.

Round 5:
Apparently Nina can only go forward here and that plays into Lily's advantage when she weaves away from the initial tangle and drops low to punish the blonde's midsection. Agdal's red mist approach requires a fresh start according to Tess Valmore but the betting favorite gets swamped into a war of attrition downstairs where she struggles to embrace the American's efficient thumping. Ugh! Nina slides against the brunette's waist but only gets turned to the ropes - Lily actually lifts her off the sand in the process - and more vicious strikes sink the Danish model into loud spasms comes the final minute. Nina simply cannot escape this phone booth disaster and gets spun against the turnbuckle when Lily's methodical assault leaves visible bruises on each side of her abdomen. Ugh. She slumps with a whimper at the bell and coach Steve Boyd looks as shocked as anyone around Long Beach now. Those Vegas odds don't seem to match the script at half-distance!

Round 6:
Nina's slow to get up and for once yields real estate but Lily quickly glues her to the spot with another well-placed harpoon below the right elbow. Ugh! Agdal's feet get stuck in a hole and she wobbles forward into a nasty uppercut on the jaw that drops her guard wholesale. She fails to react when the SI stalwart whacks her across the nose thereafter and doesn't even notice a right hook that pierces her ear and SENDS TUMBLING DOWN ON THE SAND!!! Uh-oh!!! It's a disaster for the proud Dane who blinks frantically and needs a couple of seconds to embrace what just happened. She eventually makes it back upright at seven but remains glued to the spot and Aldridge riffles immediate assault up the middle and tears into the blonde's mouth which trips the pre-fight favorite back onto the ropes. Nina gets duly wrapped in more head-hunting dismay and just can't keep her gloves high enough so Lily rocks her head back & forth for good ten seconds before THE REF DECIDES TO STEP IN and save the Danish model from suffering serious facial damage! TKO6 Lily Aldridge in Upset of the Night fashion!!!

AFTER: Nina drops to her knees and stares at the sand for a while before LCA trainer Claudia Schiffer approaches her and grabs by the hair which triggers instant reaction from the VIX entourage. Coach Steve Boyd and Georgia Mae Gibbs jump in between the ropes to protect their fallen comradess but this is where a left hook from Lily stops Georgia in her tracks and makes her tumble over the kneeling Agdal. Uh-oh! Handbags alert! "This means WAR!!!", coach Boyd shouts straight into Claudia's face before she's wrestled back by the security crew. The Long Beach audience found the Aldridge cheap shot amusing and the SI veteran tells Tell Valmore that "Gibbs or whatever her name is had it coming! Nobody asked these damn rookies to get in my way. I thought Nina is a big girl and can handle it but she went down like a sack of potatoes! Odette tells me to keep it cool when these wannabe blondes parade around like they own the place but Long Beach is MINE! And Nina can go back to Denmark if she doesn't like it!"

Both Agdal and Gibbs disappear from the ring during Lily's heated post-fight interview but the VIX crew realizes something needs to be done with these pesky Lionesses. Guess Hannah didn't teach Brooklyn any lesson last time out? They obviously want another bite at the VIXEN wrath cherry. Well, they might just get it! Watch this space!
