JoJo Levesque vs Jade Thirlwall
(FCBA Independent vs Frankie's Foxes)
(3-8, 3 KO vs 3-3, 3 KO)
BWO Rankings: #108 vs #75
Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago

BEFORE: Jade Thirlwall hasn't won a fight on this side of the Atlantic since December 2016 but she targets fellow singer JoJo Levesque as ideal opponent to finally snap that losing streak. The Dollhouse stable came up with a similar idea last year but JoJo upset another UK singer Lauren Mayberry along the way so Jade's plan carries a great deal of risk according to the pundits. The Geordie brunette dismisses those doubts and still has plans to conquer the American market to mirror Cheryl Cole's larger-than-life results over the past few years. However Jade's back-to-back wins over Camila Cabello are almost forgotten and she has to work her way up the flyweight ladder from the proverbial scratch.

JoJo Levesque wears a green sports bra, matching hotpants and white gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a sleek ponytail. Jade Thirlwall wears a lace black corset, matching hotpants and red gloves. Long brown hair with blonde dye straight. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Jade jumps into a hectic jabbing attack forcing JoJo to weave around on her feet but when the first punches begin to stack up against the American's face, she's forced to yield real estate which only fuels the Brit's intensity. Jade keeps targeting her rival upstairs and allthough that seems a little too predictable, JoJo struggles to settle in at the start of this fight and gets bumped into the ropes where Thirlwall finally adds some punishment to the body. JoJo tries to clinch her but gets whipped backwards with a big uppercut on the jaw and can do little about the Geordie singer cleaning out her tummy thereafter.

Round 2:
More aggrressive jabbing from Thirlwall forces JoJo to accept the slugging challenge and she manages to keep up with the younger singer to the point she whacks her across the mouth a couple of times which finally makes the Little Mix member think better off it. JoJo tries to follow through on the chin but bounces off the high guard and Thirlwall remains the quicker of the two across the canvas which renders the American's pursuit futile. However the free agent still keeps swinging around Jade's head to keep her on her toes for remainder of the round.

Round 3:
Both girls tangle in the middle of the ring and Jade rips a nasty cross to the body which stuffs JoJo on her heels straight away. Ugh! The American bends forward and eats a quick uppercut double on the chin that allows the Geordie lass to thump her back to the ropes afterwards. Jade has never impressed the pundits with her raw striking power but she still overwhelms her opponent during this stretch and sticks more crisp shots between the mitts as JoJo's guard begins to suffer and collapses alltogether late which enables Thirlwall to tear into her lips and inflict visible swelling come the bell. Ugh! If only Jade had more knockout ability in her! Foxes' coach Kelly Rowland looks a little upset that Levesque avoided a quick trip to the boards but there's still a long way to go in this one!

Round 4:
Jade pounces on her slow-moving opponent but her somewhat desperate attacks struggle for precision and JoJo simply doesn't fold like a cheap tent here; moreover, she brawls hersef into contention when she clips the Brit's chin on the overhand response and wobbles her on the heels when she steers a massive hook on the ear! Ugh! Jade yelps in pain but keeps getting beaten for more pesky overhands and gets dragged into a lenghty slugging dispute in the center of the ring. JoJo equals the score in the swelling department when she tears into Thirlwall's lips and thumps her against the turnbuckle late. Uh-oh! She delivers a quick cross hook on the solar plexus to cripple the younger brunette on the spot but the bell rescues the Geordie stunner who still can't quite embrace this unexpected turnaround when talking to Kelly Rowland during the break.

Round 5:
Another quick-fire attack leaves Jade chasing the American around for a while before a desperate counter-punch smacks her on the lips and allows the American to cash in with more shots on the exposed chest. Ugh! JoJo drills the Geordie's solar plexus before blasting her on the liver and poor Jade never braced for that hit. Ugh! She stumbles to the side and is too slow to react when JoJo NAILS her flush on the jaw!!! Oi, Jade!!! The Little Mix singer goes all shimmy shake with a loud whimper and while her guard collapses wholesale, Levesque still manages to finish her off with a brutal hook on the nose!!! DOWN GOES THIRLWALL!!! She half-spins in mid-air and crumbles face-down at the referee's feet who waves off the fight when the fallen brunette remains unresponsive during the count. KO5 JoJo Levesque!!!

AFTER: Jade's FCBA misery continues and she really got smoked by a quick flurry of punches from the otherwise underrated JoJo. Apparently there's still some boxing life left in this free agent who punches the air in delight and volleys a verbal response at Kelly Rowland in the Foxes corner. This one will hurt them and Kelly seems equally as stunned by Jade's demise like's been hit with a proper hook on the jaw herself! Oh, well. Maybe Cheryl Cole is the only elite boxer from Tyne & Wear after all? Jade seems destined for a mere journeywoman career going forward but ESPN's Erin Andrews claims the Geordie stunner simply won't give up her American dream regardless of the negative odds stacking against her.

Official result: JoJo Levesque def. Jade Thirlwall KO5.
