BEFORE:
The newest Dollhouse member Ginny Gardner doing relatively well for herself in her brief career thus far, and when this fact is mentioned to her during the pre-fight press conference, the blonde breaks into a knowing smile as well:

“Well, I suffered my first loss last month at the hands of a pretty tough opponent, and the fact that I had a three-inch advantage on Lind didn’t seem to help me much, so I’m not going to count on that tonight. I’ve been slowly polishing my offense as I feel that’s my biggest weakness at this point, and I’m excited to show off my progress. I’m definitely NOT losing again tonight. That’s a promise guys!” she concludes with a confident and telling wink, before ceding the mic to her opponent.

Dianna Agron a fellow blonde who’s been in the business longer than GInny has, though in terms of amount of action between them, these two are arguably on a much similar playing field. Perhaps Ginny’s counting on the fact that the last time Dianna fought was way back in 2016, a lifetime in terms of boxing years. Plus, it’s the fact that she lost that fight to the VIXENs’ Alyssa Lynch, which only serves to sweeten the pot and increase her chances of winning tonight. Tell that to Dianna, however, and you’ll get an earful in turn...

“Look, I know why I’m here. We all know. Ginny and her management thought I’ll be an easy target for her since I haven’t been active much these past four years, not to mention the few inches she has on me. Well, guess what though…None of that is going to f*cking matter. She just got her ass handed to her by a smaller chick a month ago. She’s a rookie, and she’s anything but tough. Her confidence must be pretty f*cking low, and it’s going to sink even lower when I’m all over her in that ring tonight. Ginny, hon, I may not be the most accomplished boxer around, but I can still knock your wimpy ass down and keep you down. And I literally can’t wait to do it.”

Tense showdown for the cameras as they come face-to-face and almost nose-to-nose, Ginny trying her best not to look too intimidated, but I guess it’s just the nature of her baby-face-like facial features that have caused plenty of her past opponents to have underestimated her. Let’s hope Dianna doesn’t make the same mistake here.

On their way to the ring, Dianna coming through the velvet curtains first, as per her personality of wanting to show-and-tell all by herself: classic orange bikini with her blonde hair tied back in a neat ponytail. She’s donning black gloves as she waves them to the crowd. Ginny next, in baby blue sports bra top, grey tights, her long blonde hair in a cute bun matching her overall ‘cute but dangerous’ look. The preamble from the referee goes off without a cinch and the girls look ready to get this fight started! HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Dianna’s actions fitting in well with her words spoken earlier backstage - she comes sailing out of the corner and immediately pressures Ginny with strikes to her head. She really must think of Ginny’s as pure virgin rookie, hoping to overwhelm her with sudden aggression, all in order to make a statement that she’s still prime in the boxing game herself. Ginny’s corner sort of having anticipated this manoeuvre early on in the trainings, having primed their girl to walk away and punch from afar if this ever happens. Ginny doing her best to oblige her trainers, scooting left, right and backwards as she attempts to strike back at Dianna’s face whenever she charges in. The reality though is neither of these new girls scoring convincingly in the opening round, with one flying at the other recklessly and without much focus to her attacks, whilst the other doing her best to counter and evade. Dianna will take the round by our scorecards, just based on her pure aggressive tactics. She didn’t manage to score anything permanent, but at least she looked more convincing of a veteran fighter in there.

ROUND 2:
Again, perhaps Ginny’s looks really are deceiving: that baby-faced girl had her chances written off by plenty in the arena (except for her own corner, of course), but that only allows her to strike from the shadows when Dianna tries to pull the same rabbit out of her proverbial hat. Agron looking to repeat the success of the first round by charging at Ginny once the bell had rung, but finds herself unable to capture the same magic when an even faster and more agile Gardner picks up the legwork and evades like an angel floating in the air. Dianna the one grunting as she eats leather to the side of her face repeatedly, part of the growling from her lips showing her own frustration that’s welling up from inside, as she fails to catch her prey and have her way with her. Ginny gaining some much needed confidence in the last minute as she takes risky steps forward: another one-two-three jabs stinging the blonde’s face, then her guard, and finally scoring off her toned body. Ginny responds this time with a comfortable lead of her own, proving all the pundits wrong that this angel doesn’t have any bite.

ROUND 3:
Still, Dianna knowingly aims to keep up the pressure even in the third, not directly charging at Ginny blindly this time, of course - she knows better than to fall for that trap twice in a row. Rather, Ginny getting confounded when she’s peppered from afar with multiple jabs at the head, forcing her to switch to defences and use her forearms to either deflect or block. Dianna though sneakily advancing as she does this switch-and-bait tactic, purposefully distracting her opponent with quick and fast strikes whilst herding her to where she wants her to be: Ginny’s back hitting the ropes and she finally realises the error of her ways: eyes widen in shock as the big blows start landing one after the other, in quick and sudden succession. Ginny covering up her upper torso with her arms, but still being thrown about on the ropes as Dianna unleashes hook after hook, and then finding better purchase on her tummy and ribs with side-swings that land with a thump thump HUPPP of leather to flesh. Bell rings and Agron managing to take it right back out of the Doll’s hands, smirking triumphantly as she makes her way back to corner and leaving a panting moaning Gardner still on the ropes.

ROUND 4:
Good gosh - neither of these girls want to or giving each other a break. Dianna supposedly with full confidence heading into the next round, only to see a resurgent Ginny flying right back into her face in the opening seconds, with a straight hand crashing into the middle of her guard and sending her flying backwards into corner! Dianna shocked but not silent, comes back immediately after she manages to recover and deliver a left hand clean to Ginny’s face. But then, she gets an uppercut buried into her tummy and her chin snapped back from quick follow-up action, Gardner proving that she can equally take the abuse and dish it out three-fold. Dianna reeling back and gasping for air, now on the receiving end of fast-jabs to her head and chest, as she struggles to move away from the advancing girl, but finding it difficult when she’s folded over in half. Ginny not letting up, some glimmer of hope of a premature knockout in her eyes as she switches into high gear. But no matter how many punches she’s throwing at Dianna, she can’t quite land a clean one on her face to rock her, with Agron just turtling up on the ropes and hoping for the best. Still, Ginny seems pleased with herself when the bell rings, leaving her opponent in the same position she was left herself in the previous round. Girls are dead even in terms of points as we head into the middle point of this fight with no clear winner emerging.

ROUND 5:
The former Glee starlet still flashing eyes of defiance as she shouts “BRING IT ON WIMP!!” at Ginny at the sound of the bell. But both girls wisely deciding NOT to take each other’s advice, moving the action forward a little more slowly here in the fifth. And wisely so: both girls already proven that they’re an equal match of one another, and they take the time here to catch their breaths and circle and search for more weaknesses to exploit in the other’s defence. Ginny poking at the body periodically, scoring some meagre points as she grazes the chest and tummy more than once. But Dianna no lame duck either, snapping the blonde’s head back with some well-timed shots of her own into the chin - not as debilitating as she would have liked them to be, but I’d bet she’s not complaining either at the end of these three minutes, when the judges feel that she’s done slightly more than her counterpart to take the round for herself.

ROUND 6:
Ginny’s nice-girl persona still at odds with her personal fighting style - you’ll never catch the girl trying to trash-talk her opponent - she just deems it to be in poor taste. Dianna of course having no such qualms, repeatedly running her mouth off in the opening minute by calling Ginny all sorts of silly names and spouting reasons why she’s about to lose this fight. “Bambi roadkill’ still ranks as one of our top favourite phrases to come out of tonight’s matches. Of course, Dianna’s lips more than sewed shut by the end of the first minute when Ginny responds in kind, viciously striking at her from afar whilst she’s mid-sentence, drawing a chuckle from the audience as Dianna’s forced to eat her own words quite literally, her head snapped backwards in shock. Gardner quickly capitalizing, following through with more rapid jabs to the cheek, before shooting fists into her exposed tummy, further sapping the strength from Agron’s body. A third particular nasty probe inwards sinks into the midsection, jerking her body forwards and her mouth opening in a pained ‘O!’ - a perfect chance for an uppercut from Ginny to land clean on the girl’s chin that was thrust forward for target practice. AND DOWN AGRON GOES from that SOCK to the jawline! F*ck - she simply CRUMPLED into a heap after that nasty combination!

Ginny still all over her, not backing off, the young blonde still pumped on adrenaline and scorn, has to be stopped by the referee and pushed away from her fallen opponent. No remorse for the beaten though as the crowd’s volume and roars do little to reanimate Dianna from the floor, her eyelids still fluttering upwards and her limbs splayed in different directions – this woman is knocked out COLD, my friends! Referee concurs and waves the fight off!

Official Decision: Ginny Gardner defeats Dianna Agron via KO6!

AFTER:
Elation from Ginny’s corner as the blonde takes a small leap into the air at another leap forward in her career. She’s clearly very happy yet relieved to have won after Agron clearly got under her skin tonight. Celebrating with her one hand in the air and a hint of anger on her face, Gardner is not done yet as she’s now walking over to Dianna with her fists planted on both sides of her hips, before taunting her defeated foe from above:

“Not so wimpy after all, huh, b*tch?!”

Of course, the exchange would have been a hell lot more dramatic if Dianna were semi-conscious and capable of participating in such an exchange. But the knocked-out blonde girl has her head still rolling and groaning from side to side, receiving the meanest b*tch-stare we’ve seen thus far from Ginny (and that’s not saying much…) before responding with pure silence, acknowleding her opponent’s superiority tonight.

It’s totally fine by Ginny, who doesn’t wait for a response before heading back to her own corner and continuing the celebrations with her own crew. This time, the blonde finally allows herself to smile from ear to ear. Later, on her way back to the dressing rooms, she tells reporters:

“Some girls around here think I’m not tough enough… until I punch them in the freakin’ face… Then, they start to sing a different tune. It’s fine! I’m gonna work my way up and change their minds one by one… I don’t care! It’s fun for me, and I’m ready for ANYONE. Just bring it!” Ginny says with a smirk before she’s escorted backstage by Dollhouse staff and security.
