Alicia Vikander versus Kyra Santoro(Words: Caspian / Results: Lookout!)

Alicia:

BEFORE:
Kyra looking excited about this fight, eager to climb up the rankings by going up against a top ranked Bantamweight fighter like Alicia Vikander.

“I loved the new version of Lara Croft she played,” Kyra almost gushing at the press conference. “She really put her body through the grinder to train up for the movie, but hey, I’ve been doing the same to myself on a daily basis. A girl’s gotta get in shape for her modelling shoots, y’know? So I guess we’ll see who’s tougher in the ring.”

Vikander smiling as she listens from the other side of the table, before offering her own insights into her career thus far.

“Sure, I’ve lost some fights recently, but they were against top competitors like Sarah Shahi, who was a legend in her own right before she decided to retire. So I don’t really know what Kyra’s doing by challenging me here tonight. We just ain’t in the same league, she and I. She’s right about one thing though: we’re definitely gonna see who’s the tougher woman in the ring later.”

Girls flexing as they pose for the cameras, showing off their toned biceps and midriffs, before posing in each other’s face at the podium, leveling each other with closed fists to the chin and body. Later in the ring, Alicia coming down the ramp in a grey sports bra, black short shorts and donning red gloves, whilst Kyra in a red bikini and black gloves.

It’s your classic actress vs model showdown for superiority! Referee waves for the bell and HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Her movie may have come out just last year, but Alicia still keeping in all forms of tip-top shape as she leaps out of corner, ready to brawl. Alicia set on giving Team Actress the advantage early, pounding with straight lefts and rights on Kyra’s guard, then scampering out of the way of her opponent’s return hands. Alicia surprisingly nimble in that regard, coming in hard and fast multiple times and giving Santoro trouble early as the Vixen gets in a hit and run accident. Still, Santoro ain't no slouch either, packing her own power in those biceps of her own accord, landing a hook or two on Vikander’s forearms, but by comparison, barely managing to hit anything else significant. Vikander walking away at the end of three minutes after having scored on the brunette’s face multiple unlucky times, working up a sweat and a confident smile when the bell rings. Certainly it’s a good look for her - she’s looking mighty pleased with her opening performance on her way back to corner - just like any other day in the gym for the actress.

ROUND 2:
Kyra however not one to be underestimated that easily - the Vixen has also learnt much since her own debut back in 2016, and suddenly decides to ramp up the action in the second round. Alicia looking wide-eyed when Kyra bull-rushes straight at her, her hands shooting in and out with measured, stiff jabs. Alicia taking more than a couple of blows to her toned midsection as Kyra gets in close enough to target her abs, a merciless grin on her face when she realises that she’s definitely hurting the Swede, evident from the louder and louder gasps coming from her lips. Alicia doesn’t have an answer for both a combination of power and speed just yet, can only cover up in order to avoid or block Kyra’s punches coming in, hoping that this constant stream of attack will lack in accuracy instead. And she’s right - Santoro taking this next round by a wide margin, but she could’ve been more focused in there, having had several opportunities to put Alicia down for good but her unrefined swinging like that of a madwoman desperate for revenge failing to put her opponent down early.

ROUND 3:
Alicia now further prepared for the eventual charge, scoots left and right on her long legs instead of getting caught in Kyra’s net from the start. The Vixen still charging in at the sound of the bell but finding it much more difficult to catch a slippery fish that doesn’t want to be caught - Alicia dodging and jumping out of the way, then inserting her jab into Kyra’s cheek or catching her above the eyebrow when she’s least expecting it. Crowd groans on Santoro’s behalf each time this happens, but alas, Alicia’s lucky streak also comes to an end closer to the third minute when she gets too carried away with a one-two-three jab combo and doesn’t see Kyra’s hook coming in from the side until it’s too late. The hook SPIRALS her about on the spot, sending the lanky girl groaning amidst sailing into the ropes for support, her mouth wide open and eyes fluttering from the impact! Kyra on her frame in an instant, targeting the vulnerable body some more with more uppercuts and hooks sinking into her ribs. All Alicia can do is wrap arms around her assailant and clinch up, hoping to weather this assault all the way to the bell. She certainly started plenty strong, but that lucky punch from Santoro right there shows how vulnerable she can be if she underestimates what models can do either!

ROUND 4:
Kyra eager to finish this fight and get home in time for dinner. She’s advancing on Alicia with both arms out front, ready to target the body more. She doesn’t expect, however, for Alicia to have the same sort of strategy, until the Swede weaves to one side, evading a straight hand, before cratering Kyra’s side with a well-placed hook to her own liver area. OUCH. That certainly stung to heaven and back - Kyra grimacing as her body shudders, but nothing much else she can do but swing back and hope for the best. Right hook from Santoro crashes hard into raised forearm, nonetheless rattling Alicia from the sheer power as well. The girls continue going at it in close quarters for a while, taking turns rubbing salt into wounds with further body pounding thud thud WHUMP, followed by tearing into each other’s guard and defensive walls by slowing withering away at the strength of forearms with every hook landed. Bell rings and it’s become a mutual show of respect, remarkably with both girls smiling at each other before turning back to head to corners. We head into the middle mark with both girls effectively tied in this contest - hence the grudging respect as they each hope to gain the advantage by the middlemark.

ROUND 5:
What’s this? Kyra choosing to hang back early, leaving Alicia with a perplexed look on her face at what her opponent’s game plan might be here. Girls circle and pace around the peripheral of the ring itself, very rarely getting into each other’s hit-box in the opening minute. The crowd of course egging both competitors on, eager to see some leather smashing into flesh. Alicia is first to oblige, drawing closer to the bigger girl and sending more jabs into her body and face. Kyra’s head getting snapped back awkwardly a couple of times, those pesky jabs landing square on her nose and sending tears to her eyes. Alicia takes this as cue to jump in 100% and more, harassing Kyra’s guard with a further flurry too quick to count and too messy to bother - all intents and purposes to put Kyra away. All Kyra has to do is though is keep her head hidden behind mitts, and so what if her body takes a beating in the process? Those abs of hers holding up well enough for a counter swing that catches Alicia by surprise: Vikander once more reacting to the hook landing on her guard as though an atom bomb just went off… she stumbles to the side from the impact, holding her head as though she’s checking for permanent damage. Unfortunately for Santoro, the round ends before she can rush in like last time. It’s the second time she allows her opponent to get away from her clutches.

ROUND 6:
Alicia starting to show some signs of wear and tear, coming out of her corner slightly bruised and dazed but still eager to fight. Kyra smirking as she sees this round as the one to end things for good, comes out of her own gate brimming with energy enough to put *anyone* away. Alicia first contending with power shots aimed at her head, but she takes the hooks to her forearms or weaves her torso backwards just in time to avoid them completely. For sure, any one of those shots from Kyra would have been devastating for her if they had landed. Kyra choosing to go after the girl’s body again, drilling the the tummy with lefts and rights shooting in and out, then one or two hooks banging off the sides, managing to shock the Tomb Raider star to her core and seriously put that fitness regime to the test. Of course, Alicia not idle one bit through it all, constantly finding opportunities to bang back as she sends a one-two combo up into Kyra’s chin, dazing her momentarily, then delivers a lucky swipe to Kyra’s face, forcing her head to one side as she grimaces in pain. Kyra managing to dominate this exchange for the first two minutes, and it’s only after a sudden swing into her torso that bends the Vixen over in half and leaves her wide open to counterattack does Alicia’s luck send her to the moon and back... Very quickly, she capitalises on Kyra’s stunned form: further swings of her gloves rotate the head clean to the left, then right, before a final uppercut up into the chin knocks Kyra’s stars into orbit! Groggy and reeling badly, Santoro loses her balance and falls backwards, collapsing onto her bum in a mad daze!! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for Alicia Vikander!

Brunette shaking her head from side to side as the crowds jump to their feet on her behalf, anticipating a shock victory right here. Santoro getting knocked senseless by that combination, and the referee showing her no favouritism by beginning the count almost immediately, as she struggles to rise… Alicia looking partially satisfied with herself - part of her knows that that last combination was part luck, and it’s *surely* gonna take more than that to put a big girl like Santoro out of commission so easy. However, she’s proven wrong, when the referee hits the ten count and Kyra’s still barely off of her knees! The Vixen doesn’t make it up, even with the aid of the ropes! Ref waves it off and this fight is considered OVER!

Official Decision: Alicia Vikander defeats Kyra Santoro via KO6!

AFTER:
A disappointing show for Santoro as she loses yet another one in the Bantamweight race to the top. Heartbreak clear on her face, she sinks back down to her knees, hanging her head on the ropes, her mouth open and just letting the defeat sink right in. There’s serious talk on the VIX roster that Santoro’s always been considered the weakest link in the bikini chainmail, but whether those rumours of a replacement are true or not, this ain’t the best time to remind the poor girl, now getting checked over by medics in her corner.

No hesitation from Alicia’s corner, of course, as the victor raises her arms high into the air, before banging a glove off her chest in a show of dominance. She’s had some mixed success in the ring this year, as she mentioned, but Alicia’s star only beginning to rise, we argue. And if tonight’s any indication, all that movie training has finally paid off for her, resulting in a convincing victory tonight.
