Lily Aldridge vs Missy Peregrym

BEFORE: Following a stoppage of the highly-touted Nina Agdal on the 'Boiling Point' PPV last month, Lioness Club's Lily Aldridge believes it's time to step away from her fellow models for a while and target a different kind of opposition. Enter everyone's favourite Canadian southpaw, Missy Peregrym! The former four-time FCBA champion has enjoyed better days during her elite career but after posting 0-3 record so far this season, Lily's choice suddenly doesn't raise too many eye-brows around the arena anymore. The once-formidable member of the almighty Lookout crew appears to be slumping badly without anyone really taking notice! Anyone apart from those pesky Lionesses who preyed on Missy's elite status last year already when Odette Yustman destroyed her in less than four rounds! Can Lily repeat that result tonight? She remains a three point underdog over in Vegas...
Lily Aldridge wears a light blue bikini set and silver gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a curled ponytail. Missy Peregrym wears a red sports bra, black hotpants and red gloves. Long dark brown hair tied in a custom ponytail. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the lightweight division.
Round 1:
Missy's confidence must be at the all-time low but Lily doesn't blow the proverbial gasket here in the opener either. The crowd is treated with a lukewarm duck & weave display from both girls with neither able to carry through a meaningful punch. Missy reverts back to back & forth bounces on her toes with her arms collapsed by her waist however Aldridge is unwilling to do anything about it and we quickly move into the second amid a jeering response from the apparently very impatient audience.
Round 2:
Lily drops the ultra-defensive mindset and begins to move a little quicker while stacking up single punches between the Canadian's mitts. Missy must be still chasing those Yustman demons away as she allows the SI model to dictate the pace and simply doesn't close her guard enough to prevent from getting bullied here in the second. Her response is equally mediocre which only fuels Aldridge's aggressive display. She tries to pin the Canadian onto the ropes but Missy finally shows some mobility to escape into safety alas this backpedalling galore leaves coach Julie Benz extremely frustrated in the Lookout corner. Oh boy, Elisha Cuthbert is coming over from the VIP lounge as well so this is almost panic station for the almighty bunch. And the Lionesses enjoy this from the opposite corner so no wonder Eva Mendes high-fives the model during the interval.
Round 3:
Elisha Cuthbert takes over command in the Lookout corner and Missy's a different species here in the third. She gallops into a steady jabbing assault that dissects Lily's high guard all too often for the Lioness brunette to live with it. Ugh! Aldridge gets bumped onto her heels and becomes very erratic in her efforts from the back foot. Missy charges into her rack with an uppercut drive and RIPS a cross on the jaw that has the other brunette sinking into spasms. Uh-oh!! Peregrym fires a huge left hook thereafter and Lily's lifted off the canvas TO DROP ONTO HER BUMS with more loud scowls. How about THAT??? A complete turnaround from the former champion leaves her shouting back at the audience and maybe she really needs to forget about all those hiccups over the past 24 months? She's still elite, folks! Lily's stunned by the sudden collapse rather than downright hurt physically and she's up at six but has to fend off a Canadian charge for remainder of the round with Peregrym seeking the southpaw blitz and landing more left hooks on the eye. Ugh! Lily gets trapped along the ropes where she absorbs one hit on the right eye too many and while she survives the onslaught, the swelling around the eye has Eva Mendes extremely worried indeed.
Round 4:
Missy goes all-in for the kill forcing Lily to dance around on her toes in hectic avoidance. These leggy models usually struggle to succeed at this game but Peregrym just can't make Aldridge pay here despite plenty of effort. Eventually Lily does get bumped onto the ropes where she clinches the Canadian who begins to lose her temper over the stalling tactics. She reverts back upstairs to smack more head snapping blows but Lily responds in similar fashion having nowhere to escape anymore. She clips the older brunette's jaw a couple of times and delays the Lookout! party as Elisha Cuthbert tries to convince her protegee that everything remains under control here.
Round 5:
"U got her, just go and finish her off!!!", Missy obeys to the Cuthbert advice but Lily seems more than comfortable to forfeit another round on points as she drags the older brunette into another hectic pursuit. Missy scores the easy punches but lacks the power supply and she's not on course to blow the doors off Aldridge by any means. The judges might like it but Peregrym gets neutralized in another clinching struggle before the Sports Illustrated stalwart shakes her off and dings to the body with a somewhat desperate reply. Ugh! Peregrym wobbles to her heels but still wants to channel that momentum and pushes off only to find a right cross tearing into her lips and dropping her onto the turnbuckle instead. Ugh! It's recovery time for Lily next as she bangs more crisp shots to the body which keep Peregrym under wraps for good and now Elisha Cuthbert looks really upset despite Missy leading on the cards wide.
Round 6:
Peregrym has missed her chance to put the California native away and has to fend off a spirited comeback early in the sixth instead. Lily bounces through with a steady head-hunting drive while the older brunette looks to be biding her time which enables the model to settle it in her stride. By the time Missy regains her veteran poise, she's backed into the ropes and getting DRILLED to the body! Uh-oh!!! A mental lapse here from Peregrym leaves her yelping in discomfort while Lily leans on her and keeps blowing through the ribcage to sink the four-time champ on jelly knees come the final stretch. It's like Missy checked out here from the start due to that missed KO sitter and now it's all Aldridge as she pounds the Canadian tummy into a mush!
Round 7:
Maybe that 0-3 record this year signals some bigger issues for Peregrym after all as she gets WHACKED up the middle straight off the bell and Lily hauls in an uppercut combo to punish the Canadian's boobs on the turn; Missy drops to her heels and while she tries to respond over the top, the model just NAILS her on both temples which puts the Lookout! stunner into the freezer... Uh-oh!! She wobbles forward with a whimper but has no chance to avoid a brutal uppercut on the jaw that LIFTS HER OFF HER FEET and sends tumbling down on the canvas... My oh my, call it a home run since Peregrym is not responding to the count!!! KO7 Lily Aldridge in come-from-behind fashion!!!
AFTER: Judging by the final result, Lily was more than ready to face someone else than another leggy model but she was behind on all cards before she landed that KO drive. That's not exactly how you win the experts' vote even though the crowd inside the arena loved this finish wholesale. It's also maybe a case of Missy Peregrym losing her thunder? She's becoming the most hittable Lookout! fighter these days and it's a real shame to see such a prolific performer blowing a safe lead on the cards like that. But if you're unable to KO a rattled opponent, you usually suffer a similiar fate instead. Poor Missy has to be revived by Julie Benz while Lily twerks some booty in the center of the ring before Elisha Cuthbert bumps her off. Lily's in too good of a mood to trigger an instant brawl and simply laughs off the blonde's angry demeanour but the House of Peregrym is very much on fire these days and something has to be done about it soon!
