Kaya Scodelario versus Nina Dobrev
Bantamweight Title

(Lioness Club of America vs Girls Friday)

Intro:
The FCBA bantamweight title is on the line now, Nina Dobrev looks to take the title from the champ Kaya Scodelario in a rematch.

Nina is 29 years old; stands 5'6 ½ and holds a record of 41 wins, 33 knockouts, 23 defeats and 1 draw.

Kaya is 26 years old; stands 5'6 and holds a record of 26 wins, all by knockout and 5 defeats, this is her 3rd defence of her inaugural title run.

The first time these two fought was in March 2016, it was Kaya's first time in an FCBA ring and she lost to Nina in a bloody 7 round war when Nina put her down for the count.

Now both women are more seasoned and where they were once friends, as they come face to face at the press event, it's clear there is plenty of animosity between them.

Scowling as they go nose to nose; the cameras can't hear what they are whispering, it doesn't look friendly though as their expressions haven't changed.

A FCBA committee member heads over and tells both it's time to head to their tables to begin the press conference as they turn their backs on each other.

Once everything is sorted; Nina is told to begin her speech on the fight, where she nods but still looks all business as she begins to talk.

"I have been working hard in different stables the past year and I want to say first a big thank you to the Lioness crew, you guys have worked me the hardest I ever have and now I feel ready to take that next step up to claim the title" says Nina as she looks to the press.

With Kaya smirking and shaking her head, annoying Nina as she turns towards the champ, telling Kaya "you can shake your head all you want, but when that title is around my waist, let's see if you are smiling then"

Kaya replies "you are so full of it; you always were when we were friends, when I stepped into an FCBA ring, you spoke down to me and I accepted it because you had the experience and you are older then me"

Standing up and holding the belt in her left hand, Kaya continues "this proves I am better then you, in all your career you have never been the champ because you've never been good enough, in fact you should thank me for this title shot!"

Nina stands up as tempers are flaring; she replies "I should f***ing thank you!... I earned this shot by beating beating like Thorne and Woodley, I beat you remember too so don't you dare talk down to me!"

Both women look ready to throw down but security is alert and standing between them, making them calm down as they take a moment to stare hard at each other, Kaya putting the belt around her waist and tells Nina "I'm the best bytch!" As she turns and heads off stage.

Nina just stares a hole through her; Claudia Schiffer comes over to tell Nina to forget her for now and to focus on taking the title from that bytch, Nina nods and both leave the stage talking on how they are going to win the fight.

Fight night; out comes Nina with Claudia behind her; Nina raises her fist to acknowledge the crowd, but is focused on the fight as she has her eyes on the ring while jogging down the aisle.

She is wearing a red sports bra with white trim, red trunks with white stripes down the sides, red gloves and shoes, her hair is braided for the battle.

Climbing into the ring; she jogs over to her corner and begins warming up by shadow boxing with Claudia's help, the coach telling her "your time is now honey, take that title home!"

Now out comes the champion; she has her coach Taryn Terrell and cutwoman Eva Carneiro by her sides, Kaya looks confident as she marches towards the ring with Taryn holding the title up.

She is wearing a black sports bra, red and black chequered trunks, red gloves with black thumbs and black shoes, her hair is in a simple ponytail.

Stepping into the ring; Kaya steps to the ring centre and raises her arms in the air as Taryn stands next to her with the belt, they then jog to their corner and the champ goes through her warm up routine.

The fighters come to the ring center at the orders of the referee, they square right up to each other with tension in the air as these two know what they want and the other woman is standing in their way to their success.

So when they are asked to touch gloves; they simply swipe them together with not much respect this time around, both just want the bell to ring to start 10 rounds of FCBA bantamweight title action.

Round 1:
"Ding" both fighters know each other very well, so the early action sees them throwing more then single punches as expected while they move around the ring.
Parrying and striking, the action is energetic if not seeing many successful punches due to their defences.
Till Kaya slips under a straight; slamming her own right into the abs of her rival, quickly following with a left and right into the ribs of Nina.
Who moves back with a double jab of her own hitting the British fighter on top of her head, both women separate for a moment.
Nina is the next one to really try and up the tempo; but she misses with her jab and right cross combo, Kaya sidestepping her and rifling a straight into the cheek of the Bulgarian.
With a left hitting her square on the nose; that opens up Nina to more punches through her mitts onto her face, with the champ driving forwards.
Nina soon finding herself on the ropes; trying to fight her way off them, both letting their hands go, it's Kaya though winning the exchange by being able to load up more.
Landing a right across the lips of Dobrev just before the bell rings, where there's a tense moment between them, staring hard at their opponent before they head to their corners.
Kaya getting a nod from her coach; who tells her "keep the pace up and overwhelm her when you see an opening"
Round 2:
This time as Kaya looks to bullrush Nina, the challenger looks to use her boxing skills more as she moves around Scodelario.
Both landing stiff jabs through the others defences as they measure up the other, Kaya tries to land a right cross that Nina dips under, leading to the challenger digging two short sharp rights to her opponent's abs.
Kaya moves back and finds Nina now on the front foot, the champ taking a left and right through her gloves to her face.
Nina is now the one pressuring Kaya around the outside of the ring, keeping her mostly behind her guard as she slams her punches into the gloves of the Brit.
The champ tries to come back at Nina by dipping down under a jab, but Nina dances backward and lands a right across the head of Kaya when she gets close.
Nina looks to push on; Kaya parries a right and counters with one of her own straight onto the lips, Kaya stepping in close to work on the inside.
The dying seconds of the round sees both women stand and trade, the crowd roaring both women on as the action becomes scruffy, as many punches land on the gloves or shoulders of their opponent as land cleanly.
The bell rings to end the round with both women scowling, Nina nodding to Claudia as she looks more relaxed, knowing that was a great round for her.
Round 3:
Both women come out hard; Nina controlling the early action as she moves around Kaya, slamming several punches through to the face of her opponent.
Who manages to get in close after parrying a right, Kaya rifles a double jab into the nose of Nina, then tries for an uppercut that misses as the challenger moves out the way in time.
The round becomes a stalemate as they circle and trade punches, with Nina looking to keep Kaya on the outside.
But the champ slips under a left cross and digs in a right to the ribs, with an overhand left landing across the cheek of Dobrev.
Kaya has her head down as she works the body with piston like punches, till Nina shoves the champ back and lands a right hook to knock her back.
Nina driving forwards with her punches landing into the face of Kaya to force her towards a corner, with Kaya pulling her into a clinch.
They grapple onto the ropes, insults flying as tempers begin to flare up, the referee breaks the fighters apart with both giving the other a shove.
Not long later the round ends with both women looking annoyed, heading to their corners pissed that they didn't take control of the round the way they wanted.
Round 4:
It isn't long after the bell that both are in tight and slugging it out, grunts escaping their lips as they land hard shots.
Kaya uses her left forearm to shove Nina's head back, landing her right into the body of the challenger, forcing Nina on the defensive.
The champ hunting her opponent around the outside, Kaya landing several hard punches around the guard of Nina to land to her cheeks.
But as Kaya tries to knock her onto the ropes, Nina dips under a right hook and comes up with an uppercut that knocks Scodelario onto her heels.
Nina ploughs forwards; knocking Kaya back across the ring with a right smacking her on the nose to cause blood to trickle from her nostrils.
The champ needing to clinch up with Nina, leading to both pulling the other into a headlock as they wrestle onto the ropes.
They are pried apart and quickly stand and trade, throwing haymakers that just miss as they lean out the way and try to take the other woman's head off.
The bell rings to end the round; both women's faces are marked up now as they head to their corners, Kaya wiping the blood from her nose.
In each corner; coaches are giving their fighters a lecture to keep their heads and think this through to break the deadlock they seem to be in.
Round 5:
This time both don't rush in; they heed their coaches words as they move around each other, using their jabs to measure their opponent up.
Kaya gets caught coming in with a straight off her nose, making her cry out and allowing Nina to get in close to slam another two punches straight into her face.
The English fighter having to cover up as Dobrev goes on the attack, when Nina's punches don't have much success up top, she goes to work on the body.
But Kaya shoves Nina to the face with her left; THEN STRIKES WITH A RIGHT HOOK ACROSS THE CHIN OF NINA, WHOSE KNEES GO AND SHE IS DOWN TO ALL FOURS!
Kaya cockily raises her fists up as she heads to a neutral corner, 1...2...3 Claudia not happy with the knockdown as she screams at Nina to get up, 4...5....6 Nina shaking her head as she shoves herself to a kneeling position, 7...8 beating the count with a small wobble.
The referee let's her continue with Kaya seen cruelly smirking as she comes on the attack, Nina needing to cover up and move around the ring to keep Kaya from pinning her to the ropes.
The bell rings not long after to end the round with Kaya smiling as she heads to her corner, Taryn telling her "now f***ing finish this fight!"
The opposite corner sees Nina staring at Kaya, Claudia working to patch her up as blood drips from the lips of the Bulgarian.
Round 6:
Kaya comes out aggressively; forcing Nina to have to box off the back foot, the champion looking to finish the job as she hunts her opponent down.
Most punches hammer off the gloves of Nina, who is bobbing and weaving to dodge punches that get through her guard to her face.
Allowing Nina to slip under a right and land an overhand right to knock Kaya back a step, the challenger tries to get back on the front foot now.
But Kaya steps to the side out the way of a left cross, drilling two straight punches into the side of her opponent's face, knocking Nina backwards.
Nina ends up pulling Kaya into a clinch; the champion spits venomous insults into the ear of Dobrev as she looks ultra confident.
The referee breaks them apart; with Kaya stepping forwards to land a left and right, NINA DIPS UNDER AND LANDS AN UPPERCUT THAT ROCKS KAYA, THE CHAMP TRIES STEPPING BACK BUT GETS HIT WITH A LEFT HOOK THAT KNOCKS HER DOWN!
Taryn is the one now screaming at Kaya to get up as Nina heads to a neutral corner, 1...2...3....4 Kaya turns to her back, blinking hard as she looks up to the ceiling, 5...6...7 Kaya pushes herself to a sitting position, 8...9 before shoving herself to her feet to just beat the count.
Now as seconds are left in the round; it's Nina on the hunt, the guard of Kaya looks an open goal right now as Nina pounds her face.
The bell rings to end the round with both women looking to be hurting, Nina and Kaya stare hatefully into the others eyes.
Before they head to their corners; Nina getting a pep talk from Claudia to finish this, as Eva and Taryn work hard to get Kaya ready to get back out.
Round 7:
Coming back out to fight; the fighters trade jabs as Nina is hunting Kaya around the ring, the Lioness fighter landing a jab and right cross that opens up Kaya's guard.
Kaya tries to land a left hook; BUT NINA DIPS UNDER IT AND COMES UP WITH AN OVERHAND RIGHT, THAT SHAKES UP KAYA AS A LEFT AND RIGHT HOOK PUTS KAYA ON HER BACK!
The crowd goes nuts as Nina raises her arms at her side and shouts "get up after that bytch!" At Kaya, the referee needing to nudge her away so they can count.
1..2...3 Kaya has her arms out at her side, her head rolling to the side as the count rings out, 4...5...6...7 Kaya's gumshield is spat out as Taryn can be heard shouting "no! Get up Kaya!" 8...9...10 but Kaya is counted out!

Winner and new FCBA bantamweight champion Nina Dobrev KO Round 7

After:
As soon as the bell rings; Nina heads over to Kaya and stands over her, shouting "thanks for the title bytch!" As tears stream down her face as emotions run high.

Taryn rushing out to push Nina away from Kaya, tempers nearly flaring up as the referee stands between them as they trade insulting comments.

Order is restored as Claudia tells Nina "just leave those failures alone" as Taryn's face turns red with rage, before Taryn kneels down to check on Kaya.

The Girls Friday crew help Kaya to stand and over to their corner after they see her wake up fully, washing her down as Kaya starts sobbing her eyes out.

Nina can be seen laughing as her and Claudia chat about how pathetic they think Kaya looks, the new champ getting cleaned up as she looks ready to burst with joy.

Both women are brought to the ring centre, with Nina holding the title aloft when her name is announced as the new champion.

Kaya covers her face as she cries her eyes out, losing the thing that she loved the most in the ring had her understandably broken right now.

Taryn and Eva put their arms around her shoulders as they lead her out the ring, while Nina shouts at her "go f***ing cry on Ashley Bensons couch! I don't want to see you on my doorstep wanting to hug the belt!"

Kaya heading to the back with Taryn telling her "stop crying OK! You got to the top of the mountain once, time to focus on doing it again!"

In the ring; Nina does a lap inside the ring holding the belt above her head, smiling with tears of joy running down her face as this is by far the greatest moment of her career in the ring.

She gets waved to the ring center by Claudia, then turns to see her stablemates come down the aisle to celebrate with her in the ring, all giving her a hug as they tell her how proud they are of her.

They all leave the ring as a group; Nina leading them up the aisle with the belt on her shoulder as she goes, a truly iconic moment in the history of the FCBA has been created, though now the task for Nina is to create more moments like this in her title defences.
