Georgia:

BEFORE:
Australian stunner Georgia Mae Gibbs slowly climbing her way up the rankings, but with this Lightweight field already crowded as it is, it’s surely gonna be a slow slog up to the top. Tonight, she’s up against KHAOS 2.0 member Irina Shayk, one of SI’s veteran ladies and once upon a time, a significant counterpart to Brooklyn Decker’s time as a swimsuit model. The Russian hasn’t fought this year, however, and looks as eager to get back into the action.

“She may be younger, but I have the experience both inside and outside the ring,” Irina smirking to reporters pre-fight. “She’s also thin like a stick, as they say over in the US. Be careful that you don’t get blown away like you did before, little girl,” Shayk turning to face Georgia down the table, with tease of her fingers floating away in the wind.

Georgia huffing and biting her lip in response, before biting back: “Your time’s long gone, grandma. I remember seeing your ugly, mug shot back when I was a teenager. Look where you’ve ended up now? Don't expect any mercy from me in the ring tonight.”

Girls coming face-to-face for the cameras, and one would be hard-pressed to tell that one of these models was a good ten years older than her counterpart. Georgia dressed in a tight pearl-coloured bikini, showing off that toned body as she bunches her red gloves together. But Irina keeping up with the times as well, muscled mid-riff hugged by black satin bra and panties, showing that she’s seen plenty of action in the gym recently too.

HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Georgia showing off her youthful energy with wilful steps forward and begins to hound the older woman to the face repeatedly. One might just chalk Irina’s slow start to her getting advanced in her years, but you’d be mistaken once you’ve taken a look at how fit the Russian model still is. No - the older woman seems to be biding her time, rotating her body to face the over-enthusiastic Australian girl, before slamming back with deliberation when Georgia gets in too close. But Gibbs also fully aware of this tactic, jumps right out of harm’s way whenever Irina tries to take a sudden shot at her, smirking at the other woman’s futile efforts at hitting air. Well, they also say that the youth can get cocky these days, but tell that to Georgia Gibbs, who’s finding a lot of success landing jabs on Irina’s body and face all the way to the bell.

ROUND 2:
That is… until Irina CATCHES her with a flush to the cheek, a feint left leaving her exposed before a swing right hook ambushes Gibbs with a gurgle and widened eyes! We’re barely into the second minute and the shellshocked blonde eats another right hand into the forearms, that hidden power behind Irina’s lean frame shown off here instead of her agility. Suddenly it’s Georgia who’s in trouble, defending herself by scooting away on her long legs, managing to stay out of reach for the remainder of the round. But that just leaves Irina’s smirk plastered firmer on her face, with the Russian bombshell more and more secured that she’s taken this round right back for herself. All she needs to do is keep up the pressure going forward, and she does exactly that for the last two minutes: jabs thrown consistently at Georgia’s face, trying to keep her young mind obsessed with the possibility of getting hurt some more with stinging pain on her pretty face. Georgia as a result tied up with defenses, failing to re-capture her dominance from the first round.

ROUND 3:
Girls are a round apiece and here we go with a potential tie-breaker. Irina storming forward and chugging hard blows to the body early, scoring off Georgia’s infamous abs and banging mitts up into her ribs. For some reason, Gibbs can’t decide whether she wants to bang right back or go full-on retreat mode. Ah - such is the life of the indecisive youth. She does a mixture of both for the first minute, sending return jabs into Irina’s chest and chin, before taking two steps back and one step forward, right into another hook from Shayk, who’s more than content to have her opponent step right into her own punch! Luckily for Georgia, the blow catches her square in the middle of forearms, the force of which draws a groan and sends her stumbling backwards awkwardly. THERE’S the cue for Irina to finish this! Shayk stamping inwards, taking jealous side-swipes at the younger girl’s body, before a hook aimed high SAILS IN, looking for the knockout… but Georgia Gibbs DUCKS under at last moment, before paying the SI Queen back with a stiff blow right into the sternum! Girls sending each other into a frenzied state of advance and retreat, one after another, but this time, Irina sent on a backpedal, hugging her body and groaning. It’s Georgia’s turn to try and finish this! She leaps in and hounds away to Irina’s body and head, that rapid energy doing all the work as Irina’s getting battered all over the place! Very soon, she can’t withstand the shelling any longer, slides down to her knees with both arms draped across her body and sides! It’s a KNOCKDOWN for the Vixen!

This might be an early night for one of these ladies! Georgia blowing kisses to the groaning girl on the floor, who’s still massaging her tummy as she struggles to stand back up. There’s a big smirk on the younger woman’s face as she doesn’t even bother returning to neutral corner to rest and recuperate, all this while circling and giving the brunette the old stink eye. But Gibbs can afford to rest easy - referee’s steady count hitting the final 10 and Irina’s body still refusing to cooperate! With a sob, she collapses back down onto her hunches and stays there, powerless as the bell rings her out!

Official Decision: Georgia Mae Gibbs defeats Irina Shayk via KO3!

AFTER:
Georgia reminding us of the 21st century goddesses of yonder days: blonde, sexy and brutal, she puts away a fellow model here with ease! Celebrations already in order as she raises both hands and roars loudly to the crowd, her white rubber guard showing between her teeth.

“TOO easy,” she laughs when approached by reporters thereafter, soaking in the congratulations with hands on her hips. “This proves two things: One, Irina, it’s high time you retired from the sport, yeah? And two, that I can hang with the best girls in this division.”

Irina of course too hazy to respond on the spot, still fighting back tears as she’s carried to her corner with those fluttering eyes, and given a thorough look over by medical staff. Whether or not she deems herself fit enough to get back in the ring someday, at least we can credit her for her bravery tonight!
