BEFORE:
Kendall stressing early on that this tournament is hers and hers alone to win.

“Let’s get one thing straight: I just beat that nosy, loud-mouthed Sagra, who in turn *destroyed* Alexis Ren, Nina Agdal and I have no doubt she would wreck Kelly Rohrbach as well. Basically, suffice it to say, I’m better than anything the VIX roster can throw at me…” Kendall telling a room full of reporters as they swarm the lanky actress with camera flashes.

Kendall has definitely received her fair share of doubt and criticism over the years, but hell, this unassuming girl has gone on to beat mega-stars like Kate Upton and Charlize Theron, defying the odds that were constantly against her. The former Lightweight champion is now oozing equal amounts of confidence as she poses for the cameras in a stylish but simple black bikini, totally ignoring her opponent for tonight, Kelly Rohrbach, who’s caught seething at the other corner of the room.

“Excuse me? Is this a fashion show or did I just walk into the biggest bimbo convention?” Kelly grabbing the microphone and shoving her lips into it. “Kendall’s beaten some top competition, yes, but she hasn’t fought me yet. Some people have said I’m the one who deserves to wear the Lightweight gold, and that’s the reason why I’m in this tournament: to go all the way to the finals. If this little scrawny girl gets in my way, she sure as hell won’t be an obstacle after I’m through with her tonight!”

Girls set each other with more confident smirks as they pose in the middle of the stage, fists aimed at chins and bellies, before making their way down to the ring. Unlike some of their more hot-headed colleagues, what has contributed to their success is staying calm up top, and letting their fists do the talking in the ring instead. These two elite women might have more stuff in common than they’d care to admit!

Referee doing final prep with both girls in corners, ready to show off who’s really in charge. HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action, in the second round of the Lightweight tournament!

ROUND 1:
Kendall giving off similar vibes to how she defeated Kate Upton all those months before: she’s using her long legs to her advantage, keeping out of range and letting Kelly come to get her instead. Kelly Rohrbach however is no Kate Upton, and she ain’t blinded by some silly outrage to take the bait and give chase. There’s power packing behind those deliberate straight hands that Rohrbach’s throwing at Kendall instead, spooking her early on and sending her scrambling for cover on more than one occasion. But Kendall recovering just enough to continue her hit-and-run tactics in the last two minutes, circling with a light-hearted stance: bouncing on toes repeatedly as she scores hard and fast jabs into Kelly’s face all the way to the bell. Result is Jenner taking this opening round from overall more action, but not by much.

ROUND 2:
Kelly needs to find a way to neutralise her foe’s speed. If not, she’s going to continue playing this chase-the-chicken game for the remainder of this fight. Kelly storming forward as a result with a little bit more energy and a little more swings, but Kendall still too fresh and agile, either dodges the punches cleanly, her short head bobbing left and weaving right, or simply outruns Rohrbach again, but not before hitting a brief combination on the forearms or the tummy. Kelly visibly frustrated by the end of these two rounds - she knows that she needs to adapt, but her attempts not having much effectiveness in terms of getting through Kendalls’ defences. A one-two piercing combo into Kendall’s body in the dying throes of the day is all that’s left to show of Kelly’s defiance, but Kendall once more simply circling away and smirking behind raised gloves. Another good round for Jenner as she takes the lead in this contest.

ROUND 3:
Jenner trying to stay ahead of the pack by employing the same strategy of coming in hard and fast, but discounts the fact that Kelly has her movements timed and zoned in by now. Rohrbach gladly lets the jabs land on her forearms and guard, before whipping the lanky girl’s torso clear to the side with a hook that connects with Jenner’s pretty face! OUCH. The blow staggers her with a groan and shocked eyes, and Jenner goes stumbling into the ropes for support! It might be the last mistake that will cost her because HERE comes Kelly, suddenly springing into action now that Jenner’s injured! Jenner taking some hard shots straight to the body as Kelly attempts to pin her down on the ropes and deliver more, but Kendall wisely clinching up, wrapping her arms around the neck and not giving her clean shots to take home with. The weight of the former champ bearing down on her has Kelly growling into her ear, being pulled inwards to the ropes as well - all she can do is shock more leather into Kendall’s sides in close quarters, but she’s certainly going to be miffed that she didn’t get the chance to put Kendall down to the canvas right here.

ROUND 4:
It’s more of Kelly’s show as Kendall’s lead evaporates into thin air, with the Vixen showing surprising speed for her bulkier size. She doesn’t give Kendall much room to breathe here, early rushing in and swinging at the head. Kendall forced to rely on her speed once more, but confounded with that ringing going on in her head from that previous round’s pounding that makes it difficult to concentrate on effective evasion. Kelly getting in close and personal as a result, easily sending shots into the brunette’s body and enjoying the grunts of pain coming from her lips. A third such low hook leaves Jenner gasping in her arms, and wide open for another BLAST to the face, sending the former flying off her feet and landing on her side! It’s an early KNOCKDOWN for Kelly Rohrbach!

THIS is what the crowds have paid to see! Kelly definitely showing her championship chops by putting down a former champ good and early, with Kendall desperately crawling to the ropes, parts of her face and body reddened with abuse already. Kelly’s chest heaving as she heads to neutral corner, awaiting the inevitable, but her hopes at a dominant win dashed when Jenner makes it back up by the count of 8. The round ends with Kendall still having enough energy to evade the blonde’s advances, but honestly Kelly looks slightly spent herself, showing some inertia to give chase fully and finish this.

ROUND 5:
Kendall recovering some of her mojo in the fifth, getting up quickly from that knockdown earlier. One thing to be said about her is that she definitely packs a whole lot of energy in that small frame of hers, hiding reserves of stamina that has seen her go toe-to-toe with some of the industry’s greatest. Here, she evades Kelly’s punches early on, much to the surprise of the blonde, who had assumed that a girl floored would be a girl flaying and ready to flop. But no, Kendall once again defying the odds and keeping her distance, letting Kelly tire herself out with needless chasing and swinging at pockets of air. The Girls Friday starlet actually scoring with jabs into the breadbasket late in the third minute, stunning Kelly even more when the punches wind her unexpectedly. Kelly can’t afford to rest on her laurels here - she needs to do much more in order to put this siren away for good.

ROUND 6:
As we move into the second half of this contest, both girls taking a brief breather before jumping back into the action, eager to make impact and surge ahead of the competition. Kendall doing her regular jab-and-dash methodology, each poke at Kelly’s face like a statement saying that she ain’t gonna go down so easy. Kelly with a contorted face by contrast, trying to slip in and around that long arm of Jenner’s and get into the meat and bones of things. She powers ahead early on when she senses an opening: Jenner unwittingly getting caught in between the ropes and a charging vixen, and having no other place to run, EATS a right cross straight down the middle of her guard, sending shockwaves through her body as the force makes her body shiver and shake! Kelly smells another potential and game-ending knockdown opportunity, comes crowding in close and once more sacking the body with thumping lefts and rights into Jenner’s sides, similar to Upton-handiwork by bandying the smaller girl’s body back and forth in her arms and not allowing her any room to escape. Jenner with her mouth open, looking to stay alive in the pocket but her body starting to wilt from the sheer pressure and constant battering rams sent into her smaller frame. But guess what? She’s thankfully SAVED by the bell this time when the referee jumps in to stop the frenzied blonde from ignoring the sound and continuing to jack blows up into her poor foe’s tummy. Kendall moaning and groaning as she stumbles back to her own corner - it’s certainly her worse round in this fight so far, and things are only looking more bleak for the former champion. Can she really rally her reserves to turn this fight around??

ROUND 7:
Last burst of energy shows that she actually can, and that Ms Jenner is still full of some painful surprises. Once again, Kelly getting shocked, stunned and surprised when Jenner explodes forward out of nowhere and with little warning, meeting her in her own corner at the sound of the bell and suddenly raining down punches on her guard. Kelly defiantly getting her own shots in, landing a stiff hook off of Kendall’s ribs, then delivering another big blow to the side of her face, but STILL she refuses to back away. Kendall returning two more shots compared to Kelly’s one, slowing but surely beating the Vixen backwards and about the ring, based on overwhelming quantity alone. Those punches begin to add up, for certain, with Kelly groaning by the time the third minute rolls past, leaving her hugging her chest and tummy from the repeated scraps of leather just shoved inwards at close quarters. Kelly’s turn to seek the clinch in the final seconds, breathing heavily on Kendall’s shoulder and as her sweat-gleamed and battered body tries to find respite. It’s a wide round won back by Kendall, just like that, and much to her corner’s relief. There’s plenty of fight left in Jenner’s tank, proving the naysayers wrong yet again!

ROUND 8:
Good lord - can anything or anyone truly best this girl? Kendall still finding the energy to spring forward in the first minute, like a human dynamo, as she looks to keep the pressure up on Rohrbach. The big blonde by contrast fading fast, with her prospects always having faded a notch once she finds herself entering the fourth quarter of a fight. Kelly’s stamina an issue, relying mostly on her power to put down her foes good and early. You can see how facing someone like Kendall has put a wrench in her plans. But early on, there’s a flash of hope across trainer Steve Boyd’s eyes when Kendall gets in close enough to harass the sides, but ends up a little *too* close. Kelly swerving back with an uppercut right into Kendall’s midsection, folding the gasping girl over in half, before ANOTHER upwards swing catches her HARD on the chin! AND DOWN JENNER GOES AGAIN!! For the second time this fight, the brunette is sent down to canvas, writhing in pain as she clutches at her the bottom of her mouth! THIS HAS TO BE IT?!?

Kelly certainly expecting it to be so, already leaping into the air and roaring to the crowds. NO WAY her opponent can get back up from that one?? Referee still performing the count, however, with Jenner not at all knocked out cold just yet. She’s close to tears on her knees, no doubt, with her jawline dangerously swelling from the continued abuse. But by golly, she’s still on the rise! Shaky feet forcing themselves upwards as Kendall gets back up juuuuuust before the count hits 10! Referee waves to continue this action-packed fight!

For a moment, even Kelly can’t believe her eyes. She’s stunned in her corner at her opponent’s audacity to continue, before she shakes off her daze and CHARGES back in. Kendall however looks as though she’s all too prepared for the final onslaught, taking a stiff hook to the side of her body, but it doesn’t seem to affect her apart from a low grunt. She weathers another left/right hook into her forearms, with Kelly just swing and swinging, like seeing a ghost come back from the grave. The Vixen however dosn’t see Kendall’s counter-attack before it happens: an uppercut BLASTED into Kelly’s chin mid-swing, and oh my lord - Kelly did NOT see that one coming, suddenly reeling and seeing stars!! Rohrbach showing even more tenacity and stubbornness by swinging ONE last time at Kendall’s head in pure defiance, but MISSES as Jenner ducks under easily and SLAMS another glove up into chin! Kelly’s head snaps back, and f*ck - DOWN SHE GOES, crumpling into the canvas KNOCKED OUT COLD!! What the freakin’ hell just happened??

Referee all too ready to count one of these girls out for good, but little did he (or the fans) expect that person to be Kelly Rohrbach… Kendall still swaying and breathing hard, relief flooding her face as she looks ready to collapse back down herself. But the count reaches its conclusion and Kelly Rohrbach is STILL unmoving on the canvas! This fight is over in vicious come-from-behind fashion!

Official Decision: Kendall Jenner defeats Kelly Rohrbach via KO8! Kendall Jenner advances to the Semi-Finals of the Lightweight Tournament!

AFTER:
Call it luck or whatever else you fancy, the end result is Kendall Jenner pulling off a stunner of a victory here tonight! With her momentum faltering at the last moment, she managed to land that sequence of punches to the chin in quick succession, putting Kelly down for the count. The former champ however doesn’t look too happy with her own performance, quickly instructing her corner to get her the f*ck outta here to avoid probing questions from reporters.

Kelly is left in the ring to be attended to by medics. Can’t say she’ll be particularly pleased with how this fight turned out once she’s recovered and concious. She had Kendall in her sights at multiple instances, only to have that last exchange blow her chances clear out of the water. Thus ends her own title ambitions for now, and rumours already swirling that she and fellow drop-out Anllela Sagra might be competing for second-place scraps at Kendall’s table.

Regardless of what happened tonight, Jenner is the one who advances to the next round, and with that, her hopes of recapturing that vaunted Lightweight belt a little bit closer after this fight!
