2. Georgia Mae Gibbs vs Zendaya Coleman (Lightweight)

BEFORE:
In the second fight of the evening, we have two lanky girls squaring off in the squared circle. Georgia Mae Gibbs looking toned and ready as usual as she shows off that body of hers to reporters. It’s kinda amazing how she’s going be fighting Gigi Hadid in another two weeks’ time, putting her physicality to the test.

“Zendaya’s nothing but a tune-up for the bigger fish. That being said, Gigi doesn't stand a chance either,” the blonde winks. “Coleman’s a weakling in the grand scheme of things. I’ve seen her fight and I sincerely believe I can take her down tonight. No sweat.”

Zendaya of course looking nonplussed as she listens to her opponent’s remarks, quickly biting back once it’s her turn at the mic.

“This girl thinks she can take me? She couldn't even take on Taylor Hill on the beach. Plus, she doesn't seem to have the grit that us city girls have. You know what I think? I’d bet she crumples in the ring once I turn up the pressure,” Coleman grins cheekily.

Georgia revealed to be wearing a tiger-striped bikini after she lets that silken robe fall off her slender shoulders. Now, she’s busy strapping on those red gloves tight. Zendaya wrapping her own brown hair up in a battle bun, looking good in a plain black bikini, bunching up yellow gloves as she makes ready to brawl. HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Georgia with early darts forward, with even quicker punches hounding at Zendaya’s guard, forcing her to cover up and scramble. It’s classic blitzkrieg tactics here, with Georgia perhaps looking to build on her recent successes by scoring another quick and dominant win here. She dictates the terms for the first two minutes of this fight, making Coleman look like the real newcomer in the ring, even though both these girls do have comparable number of fights under their belts. Zendaya however not to be underestimated, comes charging back with excellent agility, surprising Gibbs when a two-punch combo doesn’t land on her face but instead forces the blonde to take a jab-jab straight to the body when Coleman weaves and executes well. Still, overall a good round for Gibbs.

ROUND 2:
Seems like all Zendaya needed was a warm-up session in the first round. Now that’s she’s gotten her groove, here she comes, utilising that speed like she’s on steroids. Of course, we kid - substance abuse is never condoned, kids. But that’s not stopping the brunette from dodging around the blonde’s jabs and then shooting punches into her body back, in a brutal awakening of a reversal of roles. Georgia forced to reevaluate her strategy all of a sudden as she’s pushed backwards, then forced to concede ground by an overly enthusiastic opponent. The round ends and Georgia’s all but turtled up as the barrage of punches continues landing on her forearms and body, leaving her gasping hard at the bell and not knowing what hit her.

ROUND 3:
Perhaps Gibbs was anticipating an easy win here tonight, but those dreams are getting dashed by the growing minute. Zendaya showing surprising power as she picks up the pace in the third, quickly stamping forward and firing straight hands at the Australian’s head. Georgia keeping her distance a little better this time, but still has to contend with those shock crosses that can very well take her head off if she’s not careful. Gibbs has to do more than just absorb better, of course - she’s barely able to fire off any punches of her own - each time she gets in close, she’s met with a flurry to the face, in what surely must be infuriating for the Vixen. Thankfully, though, Zendaya appears to slow down towards the end of the last minute, and the girls end up at opposite ends and flicking occasional jabs at each other. Finally, Gibbs manages to score a combination of punches to the chin and lips in the closing seconds of the round, which send Zendaya reeling backwards. But it’s not nearly enough to turn the round back in her favour.

ROUND 4:
With Zendaya slowing down, it’s the perfect opportunity for Georgia Gibbs to pounce in to plug the gap left behind. Zendaya stunned in the first minute when a lunging right hand pushes her back a few paces. But while that superwoman punch rattled into her forearms, the subsequent jabs to the nose and mouth prove fatal for the British girl. She yelps out in pain as they seem to snag hard, sending her wincing backwards. All downhill after that as Georgia huffs and charges in in full on attack mode, swinging brutal combinations up top and then downward swipes at the body, in what’s looking to be a fatal massacre if Zendaya doesn’t do something about it! Coleman struggling to stay in the game, only saving grace comes when she ducks under another hook in the nick of time, tries to clinch up with Gibbs. The two lanky girls hold onto each other’s chests as they grunt and rotate in the center, continuing to batter each other in the sides and ribs all the way to the bell. Zendaya managing to stay alive back there, but for how much longer?

ROUND 5:
Zendaya still looking dazed as she enters the fifth round, whereas the stamina on Gibbs’ frame is certainly a sight to behold, because here comes the Aussie blonde again, like a Bondi Beach shark smelling blood, picking up the trail immediately and starts circling! Zendaya putting up a valiant fight early on, shooting jabs at the nose in order to deter Gibbs, like last time, but Georgia couldn’t care less with blood lust on her mind as she wades in hard and fast all of a sudden, BURIES a right hand into the belly, before taking Zendaya’s head off with a left hook that slides her clean off her feet! KNOCKDOWN for Georgia Gibbs as Coleman collapses to the canvas with a THUD! IT’S OVER!! Zendaya sputtering for a moment before resting her head on the ground, knocked out cold!!

Official Decision: Georgia Mae Gibbs defeats Zendaya Coleman via KO5!

AFTER:
Whoo boy! Georgia showing off that stopping power with that elegant but brutal KO hook to the face, resulting in another convincing knockout result under her resume. The blonde throws her hands up into the air, wide smile on her face as she parades about the ring looking like a million dollars.

Zendaya on the other hand getting checked on by medics, who are trying to revive her with smelling salts. The Holloway Lightweight at least alive and muttering incoherent words, her eyes fluttering at this result.

“What can I say? I’m just *that* good!” Georgia still beaming to reporters later by ringside. “I put her down like a sack of potatoes. And I’m looking to do the same to Gigi in two weeks’ time!”

VIX corner picking up a much needed win here, tilting the balance slightly in their favour at the conclusion of the third fight this evening.
