SARAH CARTER VS ALICIA VIKANDER
Results: Lookout Writing: Archer
Sarah: 38 YO, 5’4 ½ (1.64 m), 56-35-2, 3 by KO since 2003, Foxfire Boxing
Alicia: 30 YO, 5’5 (1.65 m(, 8-6-0, 8 KO since 2014, The Fighting Academy

Before: Surprising match-up as Alicia Vikander, a well-known name in the international movie industry, but a relative journeywoman in the FCBA takes on veteran Sarah Carter. An actress, but without a lot of Hollywood status, she has built a major career in the FCBA (holding the Flyweight title 3 times over the years 2009-2013). She is now hoping to amass over 100 career fights. This will be number 98 for her, though she seems not to want to admit.

“My 98th fight? Really?” Sarah shrugs in the pre-fight, I’m just glad to be working. Heaven knows Foxfire needs the win. They finally dumped Willa Holland and now I got Hayden trying to make it at bantam. I keep telling Jen Garner that you can’t just wait for newcomers to drop into your lap. I told them they should have signed Camila Mendes, but what do I know? I just fight for Foxfire, I’m not the one running things. Oh? Alicia Vikander. Made some action movies I hear. Not much of a boxer judging by that 8-6 record, but she’ll do. Like I said, I need a win, Foxfire Flyweights need a win, and Sarah Carter is the one to make all of us happy.”

The Swedish-born Alicia is not looking very happy as she takes the podium: “Honestly, what kind of loyalty is it when you start complaining about your stable management in public. Especially listening to it from someone I had to look up on the Internet Movie Data Base to figure out who she was. I still don’t know, but I gather she has compiled quite a good record around here. I don’t claim to have as many fights as she does, but every fight is important to me. I want to build my record and I am grateful to the Fighting Academy for giving me this opportunity,” Alicia then looks directly at Sarah. “Ingratitude is a very ugly thing. You should remember that, Ms. Carter.”

A dull red flush comes to Sarah Carter’s cheeks: “I gave never said I wasn’t grateful to Foxfire. You are right, I am not a big celebrity actress. They took a chance on me and I think they have been well-rewarded for it. I brought them three Flyweight titles. I may be slowing down these days, but I fight and I fight well enough to be 2-2 this year. When I get through with that will be 3-2!”

“If I have misjudged your words I do apologize,” says Alicia, “but I don’t approve of your complaining in public.”

Sarah smiled: “They know me, Ms. Vikander. I don’t always say a lot but when I do it’s what I am really thinking. I think of it as being honest with them and myself. I don;lt make up things to complain about. They are genuine objections I have and I don’t hide them from the public if I think the public has a right to know. Our fans are our life blood. Don’t lie to them and pretend you don’t have a problem like our Flyweight situation. I won’t lie about it and that it that.”

“You have quite an attitude, Ms. Carter,” Alicia observed.

“I’ve been told that,” Sarah said with a hint of a sheepish smile.

“Then we will see each other in the ring. Good luck until then,” Alicia said and offered Sarah Carter her hand.

Sarah looked startled, then bemused and then she shook Alicia’s hand. “See you there. I’d wish you good luck too, but then you’d know I was lying.”

Alicia burst out laughing and even Sarah Carter chuckled. They actually hugged (which some astounded reporters thought might be a first for Sarah Carter) and parted. They met again in the ring on fight night. Alicia was in one piece black up to the waistline and then white. Her gloves were white with black laces. Her boots were black with white laces. Her brunette hair was in a battle braid. Sarah was in a bright red bikini with red gloves and boots (white laces). She wore her blonde hair in double pigtails. The ring instructions go smoothly and both fighters are soon back in their corners looking ready to go. The bell rings…

R1: Quick moves from both fighters take Sarah and Alicia out to mid-ring. Alicia going for the chin early, swatting Sarah with lefts and rights. Sarah firing back at Alicia’s head and finding the brunette’s jaw with solid rights and lefts. All these head shots soon make both fighters looking a bit woozy and it slows the pace. Then Alicia goes to a thumping body attack that pounds Sarah’s midsection. Sarah doubled up, but spitting out a stubborn jab that punishes Alicia to the ribs and belly. Alicia not backing down, ups the pace and intensity of her attack. Sarah’s breasts getting some attention now, but Alicia then finds more effective areas as her hook ravages Sarah’s belly. Sarah fighting back hard with the jab and slides some straight shots over Alicia’s gloves to smack her hard between the eyes. Alicia pounds more Carter belly meat and she is forcing the blonde veteran to give ground as the bell rings. Very competitive and closely fought round, but the judges give it to Alicia Vikander by a narrow margin.

R2: Alicia moving in quickly to put more pressure on Sarah. Sarah looking very focused as she duels with Alicia, firing straight rights and lefts to the head to slow her down. Alicia wanting to get back to Sarah’s bruised belly, keeps pressing forward and trying to ram through the hooks. Sarah grimacing as these stomach shots strike home, but she maintains her focus as she studies her young rival. Sarah touching Alicia’s stomach with probing punches and then she unloads hard with hooks to Alicia’s belly. Alicia grunting, trying to stand her ground and bring hooks of her own back against Sarah. Suddenly, Sarah’s intense focus on Alicia pays off as she suddenly moves forward with a smooth, quick move and brings a thundering right hook into Alicia’s jaw. Alicia is caught hard and spun around. Sarah moves with her stunned opponent and unloads a right cross/left hook combo into Alicia’s chin. Alicia stumbles forward, arms dropping to her sides and Sarah adds a coup de grace right uppercut. Alicia’s knees buckle AND ALICIA CRASHES ONTO HER FACE! Alicia’s cheek resting on the canvas while her butt is thrust picturesquely skyward. Sarah pauses to enjoy the sight and then moves on to the neutral corner. Alicia topples over onto her side as the referee begins to count. She pushes herself up on her right arm, but then she shudders and rolls over onto her back. She is out cold with her right arm limp across her slowly rising and falling chest.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!... YOU”RE OUT!” The referee concludes.

THE WINNER: SARAH CARTER DEFEATS ALICIA VIKANDER KO2!

After: “She’s really not that bad,” Sarah Carter tells a few reporters who are in the ring with her after the fight. They are watching as a groggy Alicia Vikander is raised to her feet and assisted to her stool. “She’s still got a lot to learn. I watched her like a hawk and she got careless about protecting her chin. Then I struck and it was over. Say, I hope somebody got a shot of her with butt in the air like that. I could use a copy to blow up and hang in my dressing room. Oh, no, I’m not rubbing it in with her. It was just such a neat shot and she looked awfully good in that white one piece. I thought it would nice to that as a memento of my 98th fight. What’s next? I have no idea, but it does look I’ll have to wait to next year for my 100th fight. I am so close now, I don’t mind admitting it’s important to me. I want #99 and #100 to be special. I know I am usually considered the ‘Ice Queen’, but even I can get choked up you are so near a goal not many have achieved. Thank you and good night.”

Understandably, Alicia Vikander doesn’t speak with the press until the next day. It’s also understandable she is not in a happy mood.

“I have apologize to my managers and to my fans for getting myself knocked out in only two rounds. That’s never happened to me before and it a shocking experience. Why did it happen? I think was too busy thinking of how I was going to wear Sarah down over the course of 10 rounds. I thought she wouldn’t have the stamina to do that. Of course, if you knock someone out early you don’t really need to worry about stamina. I should have taken the fight one round at a time. I didn’t and I paid for it. Sarah Carter is not someone you can afford to get carless around. I will try to apply that painful lesson so it does not happen to me again.”

That was a very good analysis of the fight by Alicia Vikander. You just cannot get careless around a veteran former champion like Sarah Carter. Sarah knows how to find weaknesses and exploit them as she did tonight. Sarah may be fighting for pride these days, but she is doing it well and is now over .500 for the year (3-2-0). She seems well on her way to breaking 100 fights and she’s reminding the fans why she was flyweight champion 3 times. Although losing to Sarag Carter is no disgrace for Alicia Vikander, losing it so quickly is concerning. She needs a solid win in her next fight to get herself back on track. The question is: can she do it?
