BEFORE:
Up next - a clash for the ages, with on-the-rise Dollhouse killer Katheryn Winnick taking on the legendary Sophia Bush. We've said this countless times before, but this match-up may be the one to take the cake: Bush may be Kat's toughest challenge to date.

Sophia answering questions first backstage. Ever since her founding of own stable Bush & Burton, things have been relatively quiet from the TV starlet. Sophia however filled with praise for her competitor tonight, saying with a smile:

“This year has been full of ups and downs for me, but I’m getting my groove back and with my two recent wins, I feel like I’m back to my old self and regaining my confidence in there. I know Katheryn has been having a hell of a year by contrast. She’s like, what, 10 in a row now?” the brunette pauses as the interviewer corrects her figures. “Oh… 11 already? Oh my. Yeah. That’s impressive. I know she’s been making a lot of noise lately so when I got the challenge, I was pretty stoked. Stopping Katheryn would be a huge win to end the year with, putting me over 50% for 2018. I’m looking forward to one hell of a fight, but I’m ready for you, Winnick! Good luck! You’ll need it!”

Katheryn on the other hand eager to downplay rumours that she's finally eyeing the coveted title belt that's currently wrapped around Nina Dobrev's slender waistline. The blonde's spectacular win-streak is of course not just for show, with the Doll racking up some key wins against the likes of Eliza Dushku and Kate Beckinsale.

“You know, I feel like I’m finally ready to make my move towards the top of the division. I’ve been learning a lot throughout the year, and I’m feeling pretty good about my performance and results these last few months, obviously….” Katheryn chuckles and gets the audience to agree with her assessment. “So, it’s time to take things up a notch. Sophia is one of those gatekeepers to the top 20, and so is Rachel McAdams, whom I’m facing next week. I’m not expecting any walks in the park from now on - Sophia’s been doing this for over 10 years! She’s damn sturdy, she’s strong, and she knows what she’s doing in there. I’m expecting her to be one of my toughest challenges yet and I’ll be bringing my A-game tonight. I think it should be enough… Well, I sure hope so. 12 wins in a row would be pretty f*cking amazing!” Winnick ends off to reporters with a broad grin.

We come around to the fight itself and both women look ready to go ten rounds. Winnick first down the ramp in her usual Dollhouse white and black colours, blonde ponytail out back and flanked on either side by Carmen Elektra and Ginny Gardner. Lots riding on this woman's victory tonight as she keeps her eyes on the real prize. Sophia out next bouncing on her toes looking nothing like her age and ready to rumble as she makes her way towards the ring as well and stretching in the ring dressed in a red sports bra and grey tights, bunching black gloves together. Referee calls both women to the center of the ring for some last moment rules clarification, both Katheryn and Sophia nod and touch gloves before making their way back to their respective corners. A few moments later and both women are busy with some final stretches in opposite corners before the bell finally sounds! HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
Let's see how Winnick performs, shall we? Blonde is focused as ever when the bell rings, head and body shaking loose as she meets Bush in the center as the both of them prepare for the worst. Sophia on the hand enthusiastically coming in hard and fast, already flicking short but sharp punches into the guard. Bush known as a heavy hitter, for sure, perhaps looking to disappoint the Winnick fans in the audience right in the first round of this fight. Certainly, there's some let down as they groan and moan, with Winnick struggling to deal with her opponent's aggression and power, getting pushed backwards to bleed points early. Bush pushing her own advantage in the last minute, sending shocking blows into the middle of her forearms and making the Doll look like a newcomer by comparison. At the bell, Winnick berating herself visibly as she heads back to corner. Well, she's definitely been in worse spots, so nothing to be worried about yet, folks.

ROUND 2:
More of Sophia's aggression as she wants to dominate the conversation. Katheryn retreating on instinct once the bell rings, but still has to deal with Sophia's early on energy. Bush scoring more jabs off her body, making Winnick grunt out loud. But the blonde targeting the head in turn, allowing Sophia to finally take some damage to her lips and cheek. But the One Tree Hill star STILL shaking it off and keeping her arms swinging, catching Kat with another double-sided hook to the arms before a third SWISH lands hard on the side of her head, almost sending her flying back into the ropes! A more even round for both competitors, but tell that to Kat's corner and you'll get a snarl of frustration for reply, the Doll biting back this time, somewhat with more force, but still unable to stem the bleeding.

ROUND 3:
Could this really be Sophia Bush's COMEBACK, sold out tour?? The veteran fighter absolutely dominating the exchange thus far and the third round appears to be no exception. Kat's determination to stay at range is just giving her opponent more ammunition to use against her, with Sophia continuing to push herself forward with the energy of the first round. She's definitely spent some considerable time in the gym and it shows: she wants this win badly! Second minute sees Winnick on the defensive, before suddenly EXPLODING forward with a right hand driven down the middle of Sophia's guard. BLAM. But it's not exactly the impact she was looking for… Bush absorbing the shock move to her body, before POWERING a right hook back into Katheryn's face, sending the poor blonde spiraling into the ropes this time for real! Shout of approval from Bush's corner as their girl moves in for the kill!! Winnick turns around, mouth open, just in time to take another big side impact to the guard, before her body plundered with uppercuts shooting in left and right. While her body left open, her upper defences holding firm - she takes another swing to the head, before clinching up with Sophia to deny her more shots. This fight is NOT going well for the Doll, as she's back to where she started in the first round, trying to contain Sophia's relentless attacks and hoping to stay afloat.

ROUND 4:
Sophia looks pleased as punch as she surges ahead with an almost insurmountable lead. Not sure what Kat's strategy is here but she better get her nice ass moving… Sophia coming forward again, slightly winded but still jabbing consistently at the guard. Suddenly, a straight hand from Winnick STUNS her right in the face!! Good lord! Winnick just playing possum before that exchange, didn’t she? She was certainly taking her own sweet f*cking time to begin wrecking her own kind of havoc! Sophia letting out a painful groan as she’s suddenly seeing stars, with blindly flailing those hands randomly swiping at Kat's direction in her bid to maintain dominance. No such luck as the tables suddenly turn: Kat avoiding her wild swings easily, CONTINUES with the nasty face-bashing as she steps in and blows a cross down the middle, over and over again into Sophia’s facial features! Bad news for Bush as she has NO choice but to get her ass outta there from the sudden bombardment, looking shell-shocked by the time she's returned to her own corner at the end of these three minutes, entirely on the verge of tears from all those punches to her nostrils. What the hell just happened in there??

ROUND 5:
Here comes Winnick, making up for lost time! Bush getting a BIG spoonful of her own medicine as she suddenly realises she's been duped into thinking her opponent was feeling overwhelmed from the very start of this fight. Far from it! Winnick allowing her opponent to tire herself out in the first three rounds before ROARING forward with a vengeance! Sophia barely out of her own corner when she eats another big right hand to the middle of her arms, followed by more pounding fists on her body as Katheryn continues with the abuse. Sophia taking a stand in the middle minute, bravely trying to go toe-to-toe with Kat in the middle of the ring and salvage this debacle. She scores a stiff swipe to Kat's face, but EATS another two to either side of her own, which just prove to everyone that she’s the one being out-boxed here! Sophia just can't quite keep up with the blonde's ferocity and finishes the final seconds continuing on her downward spiral! Winnick fans once again rabid and cheering when the bell rings, as their girl can confidently eye the win again if she keeps this up. However, can Sophia turn the tables, just like she's been turned on?

ROUND 6:
Kudos to Bush as she tries to adapt to survive, staying back and keeping her feet moving as we enter the sixth. It’s a far cry from her hard-hitting days and of course, the start of this round, where she was confidently coming forward and seeking a brawl. Winnick giving chase, however, having to work a little harder to score blows off the brunette’s body and arms, but if we're the betting sort, it's looking like it’s gonna be another wide round for the Dollhouse star, with Bush focused on defence and barely landing any return shots for herself. Katheryn blocking another two jab-jab to her guard as Sophia tries to rally, before the Doll POWERS another straight right hand right down the middle of her forearms, catching Bush flush on the chin!! And Sophia goes flying back, landing on her back with a loud WHUMP!! It's a knockdown!!

Such is the roller coaster of life as one minute you're on cloud nine and the next, you're staring up straight at the sky! Bush breathing hard as she struggles to even open her eyes, mouth working as the referee counts her all the way out to ten, and she barely makes it off her back! Celebrations are in order for the Dollhouse crew as Katheryn takes the win over arguably her most dangerous opponent to date!

Official Decision: Katheryn Winnick defeats Sophia Bush via KO6!

AFTER:
Modest as usual, Katheryn with a sigh of relief followed by a smile and raised hand, soaking in the fans’ cheers, who are on their feet and firmly back in her corner. She waves to acknowledge their support, parading around the four corners of the ring, looking like this was her game plan all along.

Classy as always, Katheryn walks over to Sophia thereafter to check on her. She helps the veteran fighter up, tapping her on the shoulder before whispering a ‘Good fight, babe’ in one ear.

Sophia with a small smile on her lips, little comfort tonight that she can hurt another girl in the early stages of a fight but then lose steam towards the end. Losing this fight must sting for her - it was supposed to be a glorious way to end the year for her, after all. Instead, she's led away by her own team as they patch up her bruises inside and out.

Backstage, Kat still swarmed by reporters, to whom she says with a tired smile “I got banged in there at the start….I knew it was going to be an uphill battle going in…Sophia is seriously strong, even stronger than I thought, actually. It got pretty close in there and I’m glad I was able to weather the storm tonight…this win means a lot to me! 12 in a row baby! I’m looking forward to McAdams next week…it’s gonna be huge! Bring it, Rachel!” The gorgeous blonde concludes with a wink and a grin before making her way back to her dressing room. We will see her again at the Doll Ball next week-end in an epic battle against former multiple-time champion Rachel McAdams and we simply cannot wait!
