BEFORE:

"Nice to get another chance in the FCBA," says Halsey with a nod. "Lost that first one and shouldn't have. A little bit of opening night jitters. Tonight? Different story. Count on that."

"Girl is definitely built for this," says Hunter with a nod of her own. "But. So am I. As she's about to find out."

ROUND ONE:

O'Dell: "Back at ringside and that's 'Hurricane' you hear pounding through the arena, and here comes the singer of that little tune, the lovely Halsey!"

McCarthy: "And HERE is a typical Weirdo move! This girl comes out and loses to LAVIGNE that no-talent fraud in her first FCBA fight. As SOON as she did that, I KNEW Weirdo would book her against one of his Dancing Hookers, and HERE she is!"

O'Dell: "Halsey into the ring and helped off with the robe. And, she's definitely looking 'built for this' in that black bikini. And, that's 'Shake It Out' by Florence and the Machine you hear behind us, and that can only mean that 'The Ventura County Volcano', Hunter King is on her way to the ring."

Cassie: "Here's where Mac calls that a stupid nickname..."

McCarthy: "Shut UP, Scabbo!"

Tess: "King a girl who's done very, very well for Front Street, BUT, she's in, maybe, the most competitive division in the stable, with Dennings and Bennet ahead of her and Lili Reinhart coming up from behind. She, no doubt, needs to take care of business tonight."

O'Dell: "King into the ring and helped off with the robe by Jewel and Neve, and she's looking VERY good in that aqua bikini we've seen before. And, the ladies are about ready. Time for some picks. Tess likes Hunter. Mac?"

McCarthy: "Typical Dancing Hooker opponent. NO FCBA wins! King."

O'Dell: "Cassie?"

Cassie: "I agree with Tess!"

O'Dell: "Unanimous panel for the first bout of the night. Halsey aggressive early. Brunette stepping to the blonde, wants to get physical, and that's not a big surprise, considering the singer is more than a little sturdy. King not backing away from this, banging back and we're in the phone booth early..."

McCarthy: "TYPICAL of a Campbell fighter. You've got the edge in experience and you're going to slug it out. STUPID."

O'Dell: "Halsey doing pretty well for herself in there. She's banging body, then going upstairs, scoring with both hands. King landing some stuff, too, but it's the brunette who's having the better of things in the early going. These are terms she likes, and she's making the best of them."

Cassie: "Sure is. Not a lot to lose for Halsey, so, might as well get after it."

O'Dell: "And, that's what she's doing as we come down the stretch. King holding her canvas, scoring with head and body shots of her own, but it's the singer who's getting more done, landing more and better shot. Five seconds to go. SOLID right to the head from Halsey and there's the bell. Brunette takes the first."

Tess: "And leads 10-9."

ROUND TWO:

O'Dell: "Second begins with an adjustment from King. Blonde jabbing now, slowing the brunette down as she tries to close. Hunter very athletic, has great feet, and she's using all of that to keep the brunette at bay. All of a sudden, Halsey can't get to her spots to get off. Instead, Hunter scoring at range."

McCarthy: "Which is EXACTLY what I said she should be doing. I think the Weirdo has me BUGGED!"

Tess: "Mac, we are BROADCASTING!"

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, WALMART!"

O'Dell: "Drink up, boys, as Hunter starts putting on a clinic in there. King really putting punches together well. It all starts with the long left jab. Gets that on, stops Halsey with it, then follows on with right hands and builds combinations. Brunette not getting much done at all. Spending all her time covering up and taking."

Cassie: "Not the way to win a fight."

O'Dell: "Most definitely is not. Twenty seconds to go in the second round, and King's been in control since the beginning. Brunette game, wants to get in there and bang, but King not having it. Ten seconds to go. Good combination from Hunter and there's the bell. King wide in the second."

McCarthy: "And, we're even at 19."

ROUND THREE:

O'Dell: "Hunter continuing to roll now. King's got something working and she's sticking with it. Brunette can't find a way past her defenses. Instead, she's being held outside and thumped with both hands for her trouble. Hunter very, very accurate with that jab, and that's been the key to the turnaround..."

Tess: "I'm on record as saying King needs to step up the competition, but, she's impressing in there right now."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it. In complete control for the second round in a row. She's not hurting the brunette, but she's piling up points with those combinations, all coming off that accurate left hand. Halsey, for her part, not getting frustrated. She's continuing to work hard. Just not finding answers."

McCarthy: "Kid has to punch more. Can't keep getting suppressed."

O'Dell: "Not bad advice, Mac. Just fifteen seconds left in round three, though, so it's too late for this stanza. Hunter's got the points in the bag as the clock runs down. She continues working hard, though, no let up, keeps putting together combinations right to the bell. There it is. And, it's King wide again."

Cassie: "And, Hunter takes the lead 29-28."

ROUND FOUR:

O'Dell: "Halsey using the feet to start the fourth. She's angling now, moving the head more, using the gloves to try to pick off the blonde's jab. And, all of that is helping. Brunette able to close and bang now, not getting kept at bay as she was in the last stanza. King responding in kind, but this is where Halsey wants to be..."Cassie: "No question. Brunette wants this fight at close quarters."

O'Dell: "And, when she's getting what she wants, she's getting the advantage in the fight. Halsey landing to both head and body, backing Hunter up in spots with hard shot. Got to be impressed with this girl. Just her second FCBA fight, and she's showing some skills and a WHOLE lot of physicality."

Tess: "That, she is. No question there's plenty of power behind those punches."

O'Dell: "Down the stretch in the fourth, and this has been a good round for the singer. She's taken control of the proceedings again, and she's getting heavy leather on target in the final seconds of the round. GOOD right hand by Halsey backs up Hunter and there's the bell. Halsey. And wide."

McCarthy: "And, we're even at 38."

ROUND FIVE:

O'Dell: "Halsey continuing to work forward and crowd the blonde. King now working more effectively inside. She's lathering the brunette's body with leather, making her pay for being right in Hunter's grill. Halsey, though, more than WILLING to pay. She'll TAKE body punishment to GIVE body punishment."

McCarthy: "I'm starting to like this girl more and more. When I retire, maybe we'll sign her at Sceej..."

Cassie: "When Mac retires, will it be the hundredth time or TWO hundredth, Tess? I've lost track..."

McCarthy: "SHUT UP, SCABBO!"

O'Dell (sighing): "Increased body work is serving to keep Hunter in this round. Unlike the first and third when Halsey pulled away with the points she was scoring in the phone booth, King's holding her own now, dishing out as much punishment as she's taking. And, BOTH girls are shipping a TON of body shot..."

Tess: "Hunter pinking up some from all Halsey's work."

O'Dell: "Rolling into the final seconds of the fifth. Nip and tuck stuff. Both ladies working the flanks with hooks now. It's chin-on-shoulder attrition as the clock ticks down to zero. And, there's the bell. Not a lot in it, but it's Halsey who's going to claim the points and go up 48-47 at the half."

ROUND SIX:

O'Dell: "We are right back at close quarters to start the second half. Halsey getting the terms she wants now, and Hunter not trying to do much to deny her. Instead, King going to work inside and bang body, and, there's no question she's sturdy enough to do this and be successful at it..."

Tess: "In fact, she's done it before."

O'Dell: "Has, indeed. Halsey, meanwhile, making a statement in there, and that statement is that she has the physicality to compete in this division. And, while all that's going on, both ladies are taking some serious punishment to the body. There's still some head work going on, but it's getting less and less as we go."

Cassie: "Because there's another statement being made, and that's that you can't wear me out to the body. And, both girls are making it."

O'Dell: "No doubt about it, Cassandra Lynn, and, as we come down the stretch in the sixth, both of them are right. At least for the moment. Sturdy frames holding up, shipping the shell and staying afloat. Five seconds left. Good exchange right there, and there's the bell. Another close one. This time to Hunter."

McCarthy: "And, we're even again at 57."

ROUND SEVEN:

O'Dell: "No change in terms or tactics to start the seventh. This thing has been fought toe to toe most of the way, and that's how it's continuing to go. Halsey DIGGING into the blonde's midsection and Hunter responds to the brunette's ribs. And, again, no sign of any back up or back down from either..."

Tess: "Neither one has taken a step back in three rounds."

O'Dell: "GOOD right hand from Halsey right there FORCES Hunter back a step. Halsey right back into her grill digging body and DOWN GOES THE BRUNETTE! That was an absolutely BLISTERING right hook from King and I don't think the singer ever saw that thing, Mac..."

McCarthy: "She felt it, though..."

O'Dell: "Halsey blown to her back. King wasting no time getting to a neutral corner. Count at three. Four. Five. Brunette rolling to her belly at six. Seven. Halsey to her hands and knees at eight. Trying to push to her feet. Nine. TEN! Can't get it done! Halsey can't get off all fours, and it's OVER! And your winner by KO7 is 'The Ventura County Volcano', Hunter King!"

Cassie: "What a punch!"

AFTER:

O'Dell: "Let's go up to the ring and Tess Valmore!"

Tess: "I have our winner, Hunter King, and, Hunter, that got VERY physical in there..."

Hunter(nodding): "Not surprised. That's the kind of fighter she is. But. That's also the kind of fighter I am."

O'Dell: "Lots of talk about all the talent in the Front Street bantamweight division, so, where does that leave you?"

Hunter: "I don't worry about that. I just go out and do work and let all the rest take care of itself. That's what I've done since I got here, and that's what I'll continue to do."
