1. Cara Jocelyn Delevingne vs Suki Waterhouse (Lightweight)

Cara:
(26, 5’8, 6:5 FCBA, Free Agent)

Suki:
(26, 5’9, 0:5 FCBA, Free Agent)

BEFORE:
“We’ve fought before, yes, and we’re still the best of friends,” Cara first responding to a reporter’s question about whether this was partly a rematch of sorts. “Suki’s not done terribly too well in the ring, which is a shame, considering I know first-hand how good she can be, given our sparring sessions.”

“I just want to say…” Suki cutting in, which is apparently what best friends do all the time. “...that the only reason I took this fight is because of how we were both treated at the hands of Alexis. She could’ve have just won and walked away. But no. She decided to humiliate us after the match.”

Cara nodding after her friend’s words, before adding: “Regardless of how this fight and the rest of the tournament turn out, hopefully there’s going to be one of us here who can take revenge on behalf of all of us who’ve suffered at her hands.”

Girls sharing a hug at the podium after posing in their underwear, for formality's sake. Cara in pearly white set of bra and panties, a pair of black/red gloves on, whereas Suki is dressed in a sensual red cloth bikini, black gloves on. HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Friends outside the ring translating into friends inside as well, apparently. Both ladies slightly hesitant about hurting each other in the opening seconds, but once they get in range - holy hell - you'd think these two blondes actually hate each other's guts! They exchange quick shots into faces, mutual grunts as they push each other's heads back and forth. But the resilient girl takes the cake home: Clara weathering some leather to the cheek with a furrowed brow, before She SHOVES a left/right combo straight into the nostrils thereafter, causing Suki to rout on the spot and back away, hurt. Cara going after her friend without any hesitation, continuing to pester her with jabs all the way to the bell. That's how you win boxing matches no? With little sympathy for friend or foe alike.

ROUND 2:
Suki quickly learning this lesson the hard way when the punches start landing harder on her nose. What ever happened to best friends forever?? Suki’s abysmal record in the ring is testimony to her not having internalised this lesson just yet. The blonde may be America’s sweetheart but she needs to fight like a different beast. Points for trying though in the second. When Cara comes at her again, she STUNS her bestie with a straight hand straight into the chin, then hounds the British model backwards with a combination of shots to the face, chest and tummy. Delevingne suddenly surprised by her friend’s ferocity, struggling to contain the aggression with return punches to Suki’s frame, but they don’t seem to do much damage control for her. Girls end up with another rapid exchange to the face in the final few seconds, Cara fighting back with a jab-jab-hook that stuns Suki right back, bu her friend manages to snag the eye and stops Cara from charging in to capitalise. Waterson with the round this time, and both blondes are dead even.

ROUND 3:
Waterson’s corner advising her to use her legs to her own advantage, and she switches up the strategy by keeping herself out of range. Truth be told, Cara getting winded herself, also staying back and refusing to barge in through the front door. It just ain’t the British way, dang it. Girls trade long jabs from a distance, circling and bouncing on toes, with not much action and even less damage inflicted. Cara tries a shimmy and feint, then a sudden wade in the third minute, scoring a hook off Suki’s body but eating another flurry to the chin when her opponent returns fire. Waterson’s corner left questioning whether this new direction for their girl is viable in the long run. But if they were to go back to all-out brawling, the evidence suggests that Suki can’t last very long in that kind of situation either.

ROUND 4:
And lo and behold, Cara exploiting her friend’s rapidly tiring body, those hits starting to add up. Suki breathing hard as we begin the fourth round, and she can’t decide whether to move in or move out of the way. Cara gleefully predicting her friend’s movements - after all, who better than to use her own weaknesses against her - stepping in just in time to surprise her with a left/right to the nostrils, before another left/right bang off the sides of body. Suki covering up instead of countering, now in full retreat with Delevingne following! Cara comes in for the kill, but can’t quite seem to close the deal, with Waterson still punching regularly at her head as she backs away. The American manages to score a couple off the cheek, with Cara dead-swinging and not showing much for her earlier advantage. Still, the Brit turns the tables in this round as she comes back with the lead.

ROUND 5:
First minute of a cold war as both girls spend time to catch their breaths. Hopefully Waterson has learnt much from her past five losses. which have not really gone past the middle mark. Cara however showing much promise and ability to adapt this while, and when Suki shows some hesitation by pulling some of her punches, the Brit roars in after her, taking some jabs lightly on her arms but POWERS a right hand through that lands hard on the American’s lips! OUCH. Suki gasping out loud - that one must have hurt bad! Her eyes are closed as she backs away, but it’s little use: another hook almost blows her off her feet, before a well-timed uppercut into the chin sends her CRUMPLING to canvas! It’s over in the blink of an eye, judging from the way the referee’s waving his hands rapidly over her fallen form!

Official Decision: Cara Delevingne defeats Suki Waterhouse via KO5!

AFTER:

Back to being besties, I suppose, with Cara immediately kneeling down beside Suki and helping her to sit up painfully. They touch foreheads and whisper some niceties into each other’s face. None of that being caught by the microphones, however. But we can predict what was said: Cara congratulating her on another hard-fought fight, then promising to avenge her loss to Alexis Ren, on behalf of their mutual dislike for the blonde.

Delevingne advances to the next round, and depending on who wins next, will face off against Caroline Kelley or Cindy Mello. Let’s find out who makes it as well!
