2. Caroline Kelley vs Cindy Mello (Lightweight)

Caroline:

BEFORE:
Immediately after Cara and Suki's remarks at the mic, there's suddenly a shrill voice that echoes from the back of the room.

“What is this? ‘Take out the trash’ day??” the familiar voice shouts.

All heads turn back to see none other than Ms Alexis Ren lounging at the back row of the press conference hall, arms folded across her chest and legs propped up on the row right in front of her. Strategic of the Vixen to only make an appearance at this point of the press conference, with all her potential enemies lined up several metres in front of the room with of course plenty of obstacles and barriers in their way should they decide to make a mad dash towards her.

All eight girls immediately direct their glares in her direction, though it doesn't seem to faze her as she springs up and returns the stare down.

“Serious question, b*tches - I’ve beaten ALL of you skanks at one time or another. Do you honestly think that's gonna change anytime soon??” Alexis raising her voice over the din and murmurs.

Caroline and Cindy turning to look at each other for a perplexing moment, before they both break out into laughter.

“Would you like to take this one, Cindy?”

“By all means, Kelley. She’s all yours,” Cindy replies with a wry smile.

“First off, Ren, you're not much of a woman if you're sniveling back at the room like the snake you are. Why don't you come over and join us in the middle here, where we can have a proper chat?” Caroline patting the empty seat next to her as she too grins in Alexis’ direction.

“No thanks, b*tch. I’m good right here.”

Cindy’s turn to scoff as she replies. “Typical of the chica to show up only when she’s safely behind a crowd.”

“Hey, you Brazilian ass-wipe. At least I’ve got a crowd cheering for me.”

The girls are getting more and more agitated, hurling insults at each other from across the room, and surprisingly, Alexis holding her ground against the torrent of hostility from the combination of all eight girls who want nothing more than to see her floored on her back.

But they’re gonna have to wait their turn, when Alexis is unceremoniously escorted from the hall after security deems her as ‘disruptive to the proceedings.’ Such is the irony of life when you’re disinvited to the very event held in your honour.

Later in the ring, Cindy and Caroline showing more cordiality to one another, grinning as their attire draws hoots and whistles from the crowd: Cindy in pink bra, panties, donning a set of slick black leather gloves, whereas Caroline in a white bikini with black-yellow leather mitts. They bump fists when the referee calls for it, and HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
It’s only Cindy’s second fight but the Brazilian’s already showing off her moves early, keeping herself moving constantly and not letting Kelley pin her down. Both girls having roughly the same physique, so you would assume their fighting style would be similarly built as well. Not so - Caroline going for big swings early on, but of course not catching Cindy careless, with the Brazilian's constant footwork. Cindy grinning as she plants jabs into the face each time Caroline takes a missed swing, wondering to herself ‘How did I f*cking lose the last time if this were so easy??” Round 1 ends and it belongs to Mello clearly.

ROUND 2:
More of the same as Kelley struggles to find her footing in there. She's showing more restraint this time round, with less swinging and more focused jabs that score off Cindy’s pretty face. The Brazilian no longer grinning behind her gloves, but battling for her lead as the two girls exchange grating shots before taking turns banging leather off the body. They end up in each other’s arms close to the third minute, taking a respite with hands wrapped around shoulders and waistlines, and heavy breaths into skin. Referee separates them to resume but the action doesn’t really do the same, with both ladies staying apart and only punching sparingly from afar, for the remainder of the round.

ROUND 3:
Caroline just keeps on coming, doesn’t she? She looks hellbent on taking at least one round for herself as she barrels forward with what must be the last of her reserves. But at what cost? Cindy herself certainly doesn’t anticipate the shock right hand that slams into the middle of her forearms, before another and another cross whack away at her guard. Kelley’s ferocity and strength doing wonders when she actually lands punches at close range, and no amount of jabs into her face from Mello is about to stop her momentum. Caroline chasing the Brazilian all the way to the ropes, swiping lefts and rights at her tummy whilst keeping her back pressed in with nowhere left to go! Cindy bent over and mouth agape at the bell, both hands hugging at her body as she wonders if this is the beginning of the end for her.

ROUND 4:
More wild and unbridled punishment from Kelley’s corner - one wonders where all this aggression is coming from, all of a sudden. And then we see it: none other than Alexis Ren herself grinning mischievously from the rafters, sitting in the first row and taunting BOTH her opponents judiciously, one moment cheering on Kelley when she buries an uppercut into Cindy’s gut, then the next yelling praise for Mello when she scores a return flurry off Caroline’s lip. There’s just no predicting this blonde, is there? But the sight of her is making Caroline all the more enraged, and unfortunately, she can only take it out on the one girl standing in her way. Cindy mewing slightly as another pair of hooks almost throw off her feet, before a right hand sails in between her arms and impacts her chest, making her squeal some more and cover up. At the bell, Caroline is also a wreck, however, these past two rounds taking a larger toll on her than predicted. Mello no better of course, and the Brazilian knows in her heart that the next round is the prime time to stake her comeback.

ROUND 5:
As expected, the fifth round sees a wild exchange of punches thrown from either side, with the girls taking turns wailing away on each other’s arms, before taking whatever they can get in between. Caroline again targeting the Brazilian’s lean tummy, exploiting her willingness to cover her head but leave her body exposed to the elements. While Kelley’s firing away underneath, Cindy all the more delighted to knock the blonde’s head backwards periodically, snap uppercuts lifting the chin hard and stiff, drawing mutual grunts. The exchange gets so intense that both girls automatically back away from each other by the time the third minute comes around: Cindy huffing and staggering sideways, one hand clutching her side, whereas Caroline with a bruised eye semi-shut as she winces in pain. Another brutal round but still no knockout, though the fight can go either way at this point.

ROUND 6:
First minute sees more back and forth action but the girls are slightly more wary of getting stunned in the face, instead choosing to zoom in from a distance. Cindy looks poised to win this round when she lands a particularly hard one-two straight into Caroline's lips, but the subsequent HOOK out of nowhere STUNS the Brazilian in the face and sends her reeling backwards, glassy-eyed!! Caroline with no mercy despite her initial friendliness, comes storming in and letting her fists fly on Mello all the way to the ground! Knockdown for Caroline Kelley as she takes deep breaths above the floored Brazilian! It's all over!!

Official Decision: Caroline Kelley defeats Cindy Mello via KO6!

AFTER:
Cindy Mello not moving an inch all through the ten count as she lies sprawled out on her back. Referee moves in to raise Caroline’s hand in victory, but Kelley already too busy helping Cindy back up to her feet. It’s something Alexis Ren would never do herself: show any of her opponents any respect.

Caroline grabbing the microphone immediately after, gloating over the fact that Alexis recently lost her chance at the title belt to Mary Elizabeth Winstead, and that she’s going to face the same music at the end of this tournament. This makes Alexis leapt upwards and shriek hell or high water, and ring officials have to prevent both girls from clashing post-fight right there and then.

Their nemesis’ fall only seems to embolden these girls’ resolve! Kelley looks for additional payback as she advances to the next round and faces off against Cara Delevingne next week!
