3. Bella Hadid vs Elizabeth Turner (Lightweight)

Bella:

(22, 5’9, 2:4 FCBA, Free Agent)

Elizabeth:
(26, 5’10, 2:0 FCBA, Free Agent)

BEFORE:
The press conference continues as Alexis is being escorted out of the ballroom absolutely fuming at the thought of not being able to face down her own enemies. She probably doesn’t realise that *she’s* the real danger to everyone in the room and the source of all conflict with her provocative comments.

Bella Hadid and Elizabeth Turner both looking slightly relieved as the devil herself vacates their presence, letting out an exhalation of air before it’s their turn at the mic.

“Well, that was interesting,” Bella saying to laughter around the room. “Look, I’m one of the first ladies here to face off against Alexis. Even back then, she was a spoilt little brat who thought she had the division in her pocket. Thank GOD she got absolutely trashed by Mary Elizabeth Winstead in her title fight last night. If not, we wouldn’t be hearing the end of it!”

Elizabeth Turner nodding along, concurring. “She has a vicious streak, that one. She’s young and unpredictable, and while the eight of us agreed to fight each other, I think I speak for ALL of us when I say we didn’t really have much of a choice. We would *gladly* give the little girl a thorough spanking. It’s the least she deserves. Good luck, Hadid. Let’s find out which of us wants this more, shall we?”

Bella turning heads in that yellow-bikini and white leather gloves, letting her hair fall down loose over her shoulders. Turner in a navy-blue bikini, strapping on black gloves and blonde hair in a battle bun. HERE we go with another ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:
Elizabeth first getting preppy with some advances forward, with Bella struggling to deal with the blonde’s seemingly random overtures in her direction. One moment she’s bobbing and weaving behind her gloves, the next she’s chugging ahead full steam and shooting punches at her head. Bella not to be intimidated in the second minute, stopping Turner in her tracks with a couple of well-timed shots to the head: a straight left hand stuns the nose and follow-up hooks bang off Elizabeth’s guard. The blonde gets spooked in the final minute and stays away, realising that Bella isn’t one to go running scared that easily.

ROUND 2:
Bella full of confidence herself now as she makes the switch: she’s the one punching a whole lot more, first with jabs at Elizabeth’s direction but then quickly picking up her own pace when she sees Turner getting scared and trying to run. Hadid vowing not to let her sister’s recent loss to Georgia Mae Gibbs faze her, plays the aggressive card and pursues Elizabeth relentlessly. And it seems to work, especially this early on in the match: Elizabeth struggling to deal with more strikes to her upper guard, before her tummy gets beaten on down south as more rapid lefts and rights come in and score. Elizabeth’s only accomplishments this round are occasional jabs to Bella’s nose and lips, but that doesn’t do enough to stop her advance...

ROUND 3:
...though it does have the unintended effect of tiring Bella out. This ain’t the same Bella who’s been fighting quite a hectic schedule as Dollhouse alumnus, mind you. Hadid looking winded by the time the third round bell sounds, and the two ladies spend the first minute back to feeling each other out from afar. Elizabeth slightly surprised when Hadid doesn’t rush in to try and finish her off (not that she would like that), but noticing her heaving chest and deep gulps of air confirm her suspicions: it’s time to bite back on the tired dog. Bella letting out a loud yelp when Elizabeth comes roaring in the middle mark, barrage of punches to her head and body designed to try and overwhelm her when she’s down. Bella taking plenty of blows to her tummy, some straight pounding from afar but more side-hooks that catch her on her ribs when she allows Elizabeth to get in too close. Another left-right combo jerks her body backwards in pain - Turner seizes the stunning moment to land a uppercut right on the chin… AND BELLA HADID CRUMPLES DOWN IN AGONY!! That right hand WOBBLED her head badly back there, turning her legs completely to jello! Loud validation from the crowd as they cheer on this shock performance. Bella however rising back up by the count of 8, trying to shake the stars from her eyes. It’s a close call, all right!

ROUND 4:
Elizabeth celebrating in her corner in between rounds with a big smile and cocky aura of confidence. She comes out in the fourth round still sparkling and beaming, in stark contrast to how Bella Hadid’s behaving. The brunette in full retreat as she melts away into the other side of the ring, with Turner doing the exact opposite and trying to catch her to end this. Bella barely jabbing back but it’s taking most of her focus anyways to avoid those big incoming hands from Elizabeth Turner, the blonde looking for that next dynamite knockout blow that will surely secure her this win tonight, and of course, eventual retribution. But alas, it’s not to be: Hadid surprisingly still alive on her feet as she either avoids the punches or takes the brunt of it full on her guard. The rounds ends wide for Elizabeth’s corner nonetheless.

ROUND 5:
And will you look at that: Elizabeth now the one heaving and wheezing as we start the fifth. We think neither of the girls anticipated lasting so long in there. But here we are indeed passing the middle point of this fight. First minute spent catching their breaths and circling to the sides, but Bella Hadid shocking everyone in attendance by exploding forward in the second and planting a right cross down the middle, almost landing in the middle of Elizabeth’s face had she not put up her arms just in time. Thankfully, Bella’s not done just yet, follows her opponent backward whilst continuing to shoot blows into her lean body. Turner struggling to fend off her rapid jabs and stay alive in there, but is undoubtedly driven backwards into the ropes and forced to cover up. Right hook from Bella is luckily ducked under last minute, and the girls end up in a clinch, catching their breaths on each other’s shoulders.

ROUND 6:
We’re headed for a sudden confrontation when both ladies stride forward simultaneously and start swinging at the same time, BOTH looking for payback and both wanting this lead bad! Quick melee in the middle of the ring ramps up the action with mutual exchange of blows to the head and faces, before girls take turns digging more leather into each other’s bodies from the side. Elizabeth making some good progress with a series of quick jabs up into Bella’s chin, stunning the brunette for a moment, or at least appearing to: Hadid blinks those eyelids in frustration before she composes herself, UNLEASHES a right hook out of nowhere that catches Liz flush on the cheek! Turner GRUNTS as she’s BLOWN off her feet and onto the side! It’s a KNOCKDOWN right here for Bella brunette as Turner lands on her chest with a loud grunt! Is this fight over??

Hadid’s chest heaving as she sways unsteadily on her own two feet, staring down at Elizabeth’s squirming body below. Referee doing due diligence, counting her out slowly. At least there’s strong resolve in Turner’s eyes as she crawls her way towards the ropes of salvation, but it AIN’T enough - she only makes it up to one leg before the time runs out on her! IT’S OVER!

Official Decision: Bella Hadid defeats Elizabeth Turner via KO6!

AFTER:

What a shock win for the girl currently on a losing streak AND hasn’t fought since early 2017!?! Bella partially can’t believe it herself, not until the referee raises her hand and makes it official over the announcer system.

Elizabeth still winded as she collapses back to her knees, resting her torso on the middle ropes. A stinging loss for this prospect tonight as she’s definitely struggled to kick off this career option of hers in recent years.

Still, both girls share a brief embrace as they’re led back to corners, Elizabeth wishing Bella some hard, good luck at being the one to make it all the way to the end of this tourney. It’s certainly looking more and more like an uphill battle now that Cara Delevingne and Caroline Kelley are also in contention. Who knows? Maybe Cailin Russo can pull off another upset in the next and final fight of these quarter-finals?
