4. Alyssa Lynch vs Cailin Russo (Lightweight)
Alyssa: (22, 5’7, 120, 13:5 FCBA, VIXENs)
Cailin: (24, 5’7, 0:1 FCBA, Free Agent)
BEFORE: Cailin looking slightly nervous as usual about not just being the smallest girl at the table, but also the fact that she shares the same profession as Alexis of an Instagram model - the lowest of the low in the eyes of the rest of these fashionistas.
“Let me just say that we really ain’t all alike. I thought it would have been a good social media opportunity to fight against another Instagram star like Ren, but little did I expect her to reneg on our agreement and completely humiliate me in front of all my followers by the end of the fight,” Cailin complaining to the room, with her voice quivering slightly. “Like all of you, I got more than what I bargained for. And I’m here because I want to humiliate her in the same way as payback.”
The room falls silent as the final pair of girls is given a chance to speak. Everyone’s literally holding their breaths as it’s none other than hated nemesis, and perhaps the one girl who’s tangled more times than ever with Ren, Alyssa Lynch. The brunette suffered a bitter defeat in their last tango, and is positively peeved that she’s now has to go through a gauntlet of other girls in order to serve up her own dish of revenge.
“Myself? I’m positively peeved,” the brunette exhaling into the mic. “When I first heard of this tourney, I was thinking to myself: ‘I’m better than any of these girls. Why do I have to prove myself all over again?’ But then I stopped myself and thought again: ‘That sounds like a certain b*tch I already know.’” Alyssa drawing chuckles from the other women at the table. “And you know what? After meeting and talking with them, I can see that my hatred for Ren is not exclusive. It’s not me who has a problem with her. It’s Ren who has issues with everyone. So, I say this to Alexis directly. Be scared. Be very scared. Cos no matter who wins, we’re all coming for you, b*tch.”
Alyssa in sleek black bikini and white gloves, her recently shortened brown hair tied up tight into a battle bundle up top. Cailin going for all-white lingerie set, donning red gloves and tying her hair into a tight ponytail as well. HERE we go with the final ten rounds of Lightweight action!
ROUND 1: Cailin should be having every advantage coming into this fight: the height, the agility and the strong desire to prove that she truly belongs in the boxing ring. This is of course is compared to what Alyssa has going for her: her shorter but bulkier frame and her ton of experience. Unfortunately, there can only be one winner here tonight. Cailin’s been spending time in the gym quite clearly, using her speed and agility to dictate distance with Alyssa early on. The blonde’s both lean and tall, and this gives her the advantage of evading Alyssa’s punches and then scoring back with her long jab from afar. This occurs pretty much throughout all three minutes here, giving Russo the early surge she can be proud of and a much needed confidence booster.
ROUND 2: Make no mistake: Alyssa Lynch is plenty fast by her own right, but just has the misfortune of getting paired with Russo in this first round of this tournament. It also doesn’t help the Vixen’s case that she’s utilising big hooks right from the get go that pack plenty of power, but are essentially useless if they don’t land on Cailin’s blurry figure. The blonde newcomer continues to employ her long jab in this second round, tagging Lynch on the face multiple times whenever she tries and gets close, to no avail. Alyssa learning her lesson slightly only when the second minute rolls around, timing her shots a little better as she peppers Cailin’s guard with jabs of her own and takes whatever the blonde chooses to give to her. But it’s still not going to be enough to win her this round, with Cailin’s actual scoring back on her face racking up the points for herself in an insurmountable lead. Perhaps Alyssa will have better luck in the third?
ROUND 3: More of the same, at least early on. Cailin still going full throttle like a human dynamo, and one has to wonder how much energy the blonde has stored up in those long legs of hers. Alyssa not waiting around to stick around to find out, determined to catch her with a combination early on in order to make her mark. And she succeeds! Cailin forced to cover up on reflex when Lynch fires a flurry of quick punches to the face, before leaving herself exposed down below, with the the blonde FORCED to eat a right hand that CUTS her in half! OUCH! Alyssa just burying that right hook straight into her middle section and bending her over in agony! Cailin in danger of going down here, especially when Lynch goes back upstairs to wailing on her torso with more flying hooks to the left and right, battering the smaller girl about incessantly. Both a blessing and a curse, however: Cailin blown back by Alyssa’s power, thereby creating even more distance between the fighters and allowing her to evade the rest of the attacks. Alyssa cursing herself for not being able to trap Russo off along the ropes in order to finish this fight right here and now. But what a statement she did make in the end, though!
ROUND 4: Cailin no longer with that sparkle in her eyes as she watches Alyssa’s movements ever more closely now that she’s gotten a taste of brunette power. Alyssa looking to exploit her wariness, advancing on her bit by necessary bit: combination of jabs to the head and body followed by a giant swing out of nowhere spook Cailin further. Only this time, Russo so intent on facing forward that she doesn’t pay close enough attention to her surroundings. Suddenly. she’s being overwhelmed when Lynch rushes her, and out of the corner of the eye she can see why: her back’s suddenly to the ropes and there’s little where else she can go but down! Russo letting out a mean grunt as her head’s torqued to the right, then leftwards, when Alyssa not caring whether the guard is up or not and simply squaring her shoulders and BLASTING away! In another sheer display of power, she KNOCKS the poor girl off her feet and forces her down to the canvas in a clear case of a KNOCKDOWN!
Crowd roars as this fight might be over before we know it! Cailin not out cold just yet, but more so in complete shock and awe as she makes no move to get back up to her feet immediately. All she’s doing is panting down hard on her side, eyes open wide and mouth sucking in deep breaths as she wonders to herself what the f*ck just happened?! And she doesn’t recover in time either - the referee hits the count of 10 and she’s barely got off her bum! This final fight is OVER, ladies and gents!
Official Decision: Alyssa Lynch defeats Cailin Russo via KO4!
AFTER: Dominant display of affection from Alyssa Lynch as she returns to the ring in fashion-making statement! After a string of losses at the start of this year, she looked to make history for herself with revenge wins over Charlotte Church and hopefully, Alexis Ren herself by the time the year wraps up.
“I’m coming for you, Ren. Be afraid. Be VERY afraid,” Lynch intones post-match, before the mic is abruptly dropped with a CLANG and the commotion in the crowd once more rises...
It’s Alexis Ren trying to ambush her hated nemesis from behind, but Alyssa sensing the danger just in time to turn around to meet her head on! The two vixens CLASH as they tackle each other down to the canvas in a splay of flying limbs, slaps and squeals!
Ren seems to get the upper hand initially, what with her opponent just having wrapped up a fight of her own and is strategically damaged goods. Blonde girl succeeds in getting on top and straddling Alyssa’s waistline below, before raining punches down into her head and face. But let’s also not forget the devastating 8 rounds she just had to endure against Mary Elizabeth Winstead just last night, and she’s quickly overpowered when Alyssa surges back up with a roar of revenge, reversing their positions and raining down hell of her own to the blonde’s shocked face.
The wild brawl doesn’t get very far, however, especially when Ren spies out of the corner of her little eye the rest of her rivals charging down the ramp to get a piece of the action as well, presumably all at her own expense. Given the next chance the next time she rolls up top, she quickly scampers away from Alyssa’s clutches and scoots out of the ring below the ropes, just as Caroline Kelley and Cara Delevingne slide under from the opposite end to try and corner her. But the slippery girl making it back up the ramp just in time, that trademark grin still on her face as she continues taunting them all that they don’t stand a chance in hell against her.
Well, these girls would beg to differ. Despite just having fought a war with one another, Alyssa, still huffing, helps Cailin back up to her feet and the four girls in the ring face Ren down as she backs away from them, and not the other way round.
With that, this concludes the first round of our tournament. Join us next week as we have the next two fights taking place for a chance at a final showdown with Ms Ren herself!
Semi-Finals (8 Dec): 1. Caroline Kelley vs Cara Delevingne (Lightweight) 2. Alyssa Lynch vs Bella Hadid (Lightweight)
