Elizabeth Henstridge versus Roxanne Pallett

(Girls Friday vs Kear's Kats)

Intro:
A battle between two Brits on American soil, Elizabeth Henstridge meets Roxanne Pallett tonight with both women wanting to finish mixed years off strongly.

Elizabeth is 31 years old; she stands 5'4 and holds a record of 22 wins, all by knockout and 8 defeats.

Roxanne is 35 years old; she stands 5'1 and holds a record of 20 wins, all by knockout and 24 defeats.

Both women were asked about the fight by the press at their gyms, with Elizabeth up first as she sits down in the break room of the stables gym, smiling as she eats an apple.

"Hey guys, this hasn't been my best year in the ring I'll admit but gotta always be looking forwards to what's next right?" Asks Elizabeth as she grins.

She continues "now I get to fight Roxanne who erm... I'll say is interesting, I won't comment on her outside the ring but she is a good fighter inside the ring, I'll have to watch her right fist as she has a cracking punch"

Finishing up her speech by saying "but I feel that I am getting my confidence back and next year I am going to try and get into that top 10 again before seeking title glory"

Roxanne meanwhile finishes up working the speed bag, heading over to the press with her gloves tied and hanging around her shoulders.

After taking a sip of water, she tells the press "I am sick of you guys and the way you have been portraying me as some sort of bytch, so go f*** yourselves"

The journalists look at each other and coach Gail Kim has to step in as Roxanne gives a middle fingered salute to them as she heads off to go to a punchbag.

Gail tells the press "as you can see Roxanne is in a let's say bad mood with the crap you have spouted about her, I can tell Elizabeth Henstridge that she should be worried as Roxanne will hurt her badly, she better quit now before it's too late" grinning after she finishes and waves the press out the gym.

Fight night; Elizabeth comes out with Lauren Berlingeri and Eva Carneiro behind her, if Elizabeth heard the threat from her opponents camp then it hasn't bothered her as she is all smiles as she jogs to the ring with her "master of the sweet science" shirt on.

Getting it taken off by Lauren, Elizabeth is wearing a white sports bra, matching trunks with a "Agent of Shield" badge on the left leg, white shoes and black gloves, her hair is up in a ponytail.

Stepping into the ring; Elizabeth waves to her fans as she jogs around the inside of the ring, settling into her corner as she warms up with Lauren drilling her.

Now out comes Roxanne with Gail beside her, she is looking like she just wants to get into the ring and get on with this as she marches down to the ring.

She is wearing a red sports bra with white trim, matching trunks, red shoes and white gloves, while her hair is up in a ponytail too.

Getting into the ring; she stares daggers over at Elizabeth as she settles into her corner, warming up with her eyes locked firmly on her opponent.

As both women are brought face to face, Roxanne gets right into the face of her opponent and tells her that she is going to make Elizabeth's life hell in this ring.

Elizabeth looks a little shocked as the referee nudges Roxanne back, when they are asked to touch gloves, Roxanne simply turns and jogs over to her corner, Elizabeth jogs back to her corner and both women are ready to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
As the bell rings it is clear that Roxanne wants to unleash her bad temper on Elizabeth, getting straight into the face of her opponent.
Roxanne forcing Elizabeth to cover up as she bangs away at the gloves of the Agents star, Elizabeth getting caught with a right around her guard to her face.
That forces Elizabeth to fire back; the fighters trade in tight as they both let their tempers drive them on, with Roxanne using her left to nudge Henstridge back.
With a straight knocking the head of Elizabeth back, forcing her back towards a corner; where she works the body of the younger Brit.
Elizabeth needing to clinch up; with Roxanne snarling insults at her till the referee steps in to break them apart, with Elizabeth moving into space.
Late in the round Elizabeth manages to land some good punches as she starts to rely on her footwork more to keep the irate Pallett away.
The bell rings with the referee standing in front of Roxanne, ordering her to get back as she looks ready to charge her opponent.
Gail telling her to settle down as she sits down, also says to her that she is doing a good job pressuring Elizabeth around the ring.
Round 2:
Now knowing what to expect; Elizabeth starts to counter punch her way into the fight, catching out the overaggressive Roxanne as she comes in.
Elizabeth slams a two punch combo into the face of Roxane, followed by a straight that knocks the older fighter back onto her heels.
Now it's Elizabeth pushing forwards as she keeps Roxanne pinned back behind her guard, Roxanne stuck near the ropes as Elizabeth takes the center of the ring.
Till Roxanne dips under a straight and comes inside, slamming her punches into the body of the taller fighter and starts to knock her back.
The fighters are starting to go more back and forth, trading stiff shots to the others face as Roxanne starts to work her way in close again.
An overhand right catches Henstridge and pushes her onto her heels, Pallett forces her onto the ropes where Elizabeth is back behind her guard.
The round ends with both women staring hard at the other, Elizabeth starting to get annoyed by Roxanne, but is told by Lauren that she did a great job this round.
Round 3:
Both girls start off in close range, trading body shots as they rub foreheads, Roxanne continuing to focus on bullying Elizabeth back as she shoves her back with her left and strikes with her right.
Roxanne gets control of the fight back under her control, forcing Elizabeth to cover up as the older brunette drives her back around the ring.
Elizabeth dances back and counters with a left cross that turns Roxanne's head, with the Agent of Shield star catching her opponent more as she moves around again.
Till Roxanne dips under a left and hammers her right into the ribs of her opponent to make her groan out, with Elizabeth missing as she tries to land something to get Roxanne off her.
Late in the round Roxanne hits Elizabeth with an overhand right, that opens up the guard of the younger fighter, with Roxanne landing several clean shots to the face of Henstridge to knock her head back.
The round ends with Roxanne giving Elizabeth a shove, telling her "I'd get out of here before I hurt you bytch, last warning!" With the referee nudging her back.
Roxanne sits down with Gail telling her to calm down and focus on winning, with Roxanne sitting staring out at the journalists around ringside, looking like she is sending a message to them all.
While Elizabeth looks annoyed as she sits down, Lauren telling her to stay focused and stick to what she does best.
Round 4:
Elizabeth seems to have listened as she heads out more focused on boxing then brawling, she is using her footwork and jab more to keep her smaller rival back.
Each time Roxanne tries to rush in; she is met with a stiff punch off of Elizabeth, who is getting more confident and starts landing more combinations.
But Roxanne shows her own skills off, slipping under a straight and sticking to the body of Henstridge, the former Emmerdale star is forcing Elizabeth to work in tight again, which is suiting Pallett a lot more of the two fighters.
Henstridge eats a right across her cheek and a left to her ribs to make hee retreat back, all that momentum she gained seems to be getting ripped away from her.
With the Kear's fighter herding her towards the ropes, Roxanne looking more focused on the job then she was before.
A missed right by Roxanne late in the round is countered by a straight from Elizabeth, who gets some rhythm going as the round comes to a close.
A more evenly fought round sees both women head back to their corners with their eyes locked across the ring, cheeks looking more puffy and Elizabeth's body is more marked up.
Round 5:
Again Elizabeth comes out strong; firing punches between the mitts of her opponent to knock her head back and keep her at range.
Roxanne though keeps finding ways to close the gap, bashing the body of the taller fighter to make her grunt out loudly, while forcing her to retreat back.
But the next time Roxanne looks to get in tight; Elizabeth sidesteps her and lands a counter uppercut that rocks the head back of Pallett.
Who covers up as suddenly she finds herself under real pressure from a flurry of punches, Roxanne tries to cover up but her guard is too open and she is knocked back towards the ropes.
When Roxanne tries to shove her way inside, Elizabeth steps back and lands a three punch combo straight into the head of Roxanne to knock her head backwards.
Elizabeth is exposing the face of Roxanne with precision punches, which seems to be opening the guard up more and more of the Emmerdale star.
As the bell rings to end the round; Roxanne's nose is bleeding and she looks a little shaky, while Elizabeth smiles as she returns to her corner, that by far her best round of the fight.
Gail yells at Roxanne for being so stupid, not what Roxanne wants to hear as she blinks to try to clear her head after a bad beating.
Round 6:
Roxanne looks like she wants to repay Elizabeth back for the punishing last round, problem is she looks to have slowed down as Elizabeth simply dances around her and counters with stiff punches.
It isn't long till a right pierces her guard, snapping the head of Roxanne backwards, WITH A LEFT AND RIGHT HOOK SMACKING INTO THE CHIN OF ROXANNE TO SEND HER CRUMBLING TO THE CANVAS!
Elizabeth looks relieved when she sees her opponent go down, jogging to a neutral corner so the count can begin, 1...2…3....4 Roxanne lays flat on her back and can be simply heard groaning, 5...6...7 the gumshield comes out as 8...9...10 Roxanne is counted out!

Winner Elizabeth Henstridge KO Round 6

After:
Roxanne may have been the one wanting to make a statement, it's Elizabeth though going away with the important win as she looks to get her career going in the right direction in 2019.

The ringside doctor rushes in to check on Roxanne, after using smelling salts; she splutters awake and is helped to sit up holding her chin with a pissed off look etched onto her beautiful face.

Elizabeth just jogs over to her corner; hugging Lauren and Eva while telling them "thank you guys" as they hug her back and tell her how proud they are of her.

Meanwhile Gail is far from happy with Roxanne, lifting her arms in the air and asking "what's wrong with you? I let you fight when I shouldn't have! You need to get your head into this if I am to let you back in the ring"

All the while Roxanne tosses her gloves off and slams them off the canvas, then rolls out the ring so she can slowly march to the back, leaving an angry Gail screaming at her not to dare walk away from her.

The Girls Friday corner ignores the drama as Gail leaves the ring and gives chase on her fighter, instead they focus on cleaning Elizabeth up and reminding her not all opponents are going to be bytches like that.

The referee taps her on her back and Elizabeth follows them to the center of the ring so her hand can be raised to a loud cheer by her fans, who she blows kisses to as a thank you.

She doesn't look overly bothered to celebrate, but does have one thing on her mind as she slips out the ring and hands her gloves off to a young fan in the crowd, getting a selfie with them to make their night as Lauren and Eva both smile at the generous fighter they are both lucky to be friends with.

Elizabeth seems to have her spirits back as she says "I had to give someone a late Christmas present" both girls saying they'll buy her a drink as their late Christmas gift to her as they stroll to the locker room.
