BEFORE:
Claire Holt eager to take on all comers as she gets ready backstage. Confident, tough and pretty cocky as always, she's beaten plenty of veteran fighters over the years and not to mention is a former Bantamweight champion in her own right. Judging from her responses here, she’s not expecting to have many problems beating new girl Ginny Gardner.

“I get that the Dollhouse management is trying to push this girl hard, but didn’t her recent loss to Lopilato show them that Gardner's simply not ready yet?” Holt telling reporters with a smile. “If she had trouble with Lopilato, what makes them think she can take me on? I’ve beaten girls like Emily VanCamp and the current Bantamweight champion herself, Nina Dobrev. I think I’ll handle newbie Gardner tonight.”

Claire leaving it as that for now, and the cameras cut to Ms Gardner herself prepping backstage in the locker room, stretching and bouncing on her toes as she responds to her opponent’s comments.

"Claire is pretty tough. I'm not gonna sit here and say I'm the favourite or anything. She's a former champion, she's beaten a lot of really good fighters. But you know what? I'm not f*cking losing tonight. Losing to Luisana was a pretty huge disappointment for me, and I'm not ending the year with two straight losses. Claire has lost her last three fights herself, so I'm sure she wants this win just as badly, but if she underestimates me, she’s gonna seriously regret it. It's gonna be one hell of a fight, but getting this win tonight to end the year with is gonna be huge for me! I'm totally ready! Bring it, Claire!"

Girls entering the arena to plenty of fanfare. Claire striding in first, a white bikini covered lightly by a purple silken robe opened out front. She’s wearing purple gloves and has her hair tied up into a neat ponytail. Ginny in her usual baby blue and grey sports bra and tights and matching gloves, blonde hair in a bun, keeping in line with that baby-faced image as she smiles to her fans as well.

In the ring, referee runs through the final rules to start this contest. And HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:
One thing Dollhouse management can certainly be credited for is giving their girls a consistent challenge. Ginny falling to Luisana, a heavy hitter, previously, and who is the next girl she’s stacked up against? Yet another heavy swinging blonde in Claire Holt. Holt eager to put this ‘newbie’ in her place, coming forward and jabbing judiciously in the early minutes, thinking that Ginny might be overwhelmed by similar tactics as before. Ginny, however, proving most of the naysayers wrong here - looks like she’s really picked up a thing or two from that bout with Luisana, now easily avoiding this blonde’s hooks thrown at the head before snapping a jab or two into Claire’s face as she advances inwards! The frustration is building on Claire’s face as the minutes roll by, her fists just finding no purchase on the lanky blonde. Ginny’s footwork having improved by leaps and bounds, showing great promise at actually beating this veteran at her own game. WIDE round for Gardner at the end of three minutes as she makes a fool out of Holt and makes her eats her own words!

ROUND 2:
Claire seething in between rounds but still determined to end things early as we start off with only the second. She’s snarling at Ginny as she rushes forward and straight for her. But all Ginny needs to do is employ similar tactics as before: a jab jab jab at the head and Claire still has trouble closing distance to bang away with her big guns. She *does* manage to score a glancing hook or two off the Doll’s body, but the distance was sufficient enough for Gardner to bound away and reset, looking only slightly winded. Claire’s face not looking too good by contrast, already reddening from the constant abuse. Third minute and she finally learns her own lesson, keeps her face guarded behind closed doors and trying to bait Ginny forward, but alas, it still doesn’t work. Overall, a more careful and focused Gardner takes it again, but by a narrower margin this time round.

ROUND 3:
All that action appeared to be concentrated in those first two rounds, and now with Claire eating too much humble pie, she herself chooses to stay back and circle. Ginny however also playing the waiting game, barely advances on her opponent and only fires off jabs when there’s a hint of Claire’s advancing towards her itself. Result is a close stalemate for the first two minutes, with both girls being overly cautious. Last one-third, however, sees Holt with a deliberate and calculated advance towards the rookie, troubling her with some powerful straight hands to the guard that she takes time to calibrate - they seem to slam into the middle of her arms hard and throw her backwards. We’ve seen this happen before, folks, with Ginny not used one bit to dealing with an opponent’s uneven power. Again, here, she has little answer for this, pushing her strategy further into a defensive stance instead of capitalising on her opponent’s openings. Claire therefore taking the lead at long last, with a closer edge over the Doll this time.

ROUND 4:
Ginny’s corner encouraging her to play the defensive card still, but it’s not going to work very well if her opponent also does the same. Not to mention - a much more experienced and seasoned opponent that is Claire Holt. Holt again advancing and punching, advancing and punching, herding Ginny backwards and negating her speed and agility. Ginny doing her very best to fight back, of course, still focusing on counter-jabs that are landing all over Claire’s face and body. But deep down inside, there’s only one blonde who’s already smelling victory. No matter how much more abuse she’s taking, Claire looking confident as she shrugs off the cheap shots and goes into full-on berserk mode in the final minute, landing a one-two gasping shot to Ginny’s tummy, before breaking waves off the arms of the poor girl. Ginny getting caught in the crossfire with her back to the ropes, in very real danger of going down. She eats more swipes at the stomach before managing to clinch up with the veteran fighter, something Claire wasn’t expecting from a mere rookie. She snarls into Ginny’s ear but is largely powerless to continue her barrage. Thankfully, the bell rings soon after, but it leaves Gardner in a worse spot than before: hanging onto the top rope looking winded and spent, her belly reddened from the repeated blows during this round. Claire effectively evens out this overall contest as we head into the middle mark.

ROUND 5:
Holt now the one in control as she keeps up the pace of the action. She attempts to resume the body work from the previous round by flying forward immediately after the bell rings, hoping to catch Ginny off-guard and hopefully put her the f*ck down. Gardner however having anticipated the rush, gets the hell outta the way of the charging woman in the nick of time before burying a left hand sideways into her paunch and then a SWISH of a hook slams into the face for good measure! OUCH. Claire goes barreling off in the direction that she did not expect, suddenly being blasted to the side from that brutal combo! The tables suddenly turned, the only question is can Ginny capitalise!?? She’s charging forward now hoping to slap more leather into Claire’s dizzied frame, but come on now - those pesky jabs are just that - pesky! Claire covering up and taking a flurry to the arms, but those individual attacks are lacking the power to put the former champion down. Ginny realises her mistake all too late - bell rings and Claire lives to fight another day!

ROUND 6:
Girls have been bruised and banged about thus far, and this fight is showing all signs of the mutual punishment continuing! They take the round to recuperate and catch their breaths, however, with another slow start as they move right/left instead of forward. Ginny tapping the right hand forward, trying to anticipate one of Holt’s brazen charges towards her. Claire looking forewarned, at least, bobbing her head left/right and doing the same by looking for an opening. Ginny with the initiate: one-two jab-jab at the head as Claire attempts a slip-in around those punches. The combo hits her arms lightly, and suddenly, Claire BARRELS down and inwards, using the defensive flurry as a clever feint to rush the Doll! Shock in Ginny’s eyes as she finds her foe straight in her face within the breath of a second! SWOOSH of the head leftwards as a hook connects HARD, then ANOTHER wide blow to the head sends Ginny gurgling and stumbling right! Her arms are hopelessly flailing about, trying to protect herself, but a well-aimed uppercut landing flush on her chin does the trick - BLAM - as Ginny goes flying onto her back, landing on the mat spread-eagled, eyes fluttering, head lolling to one side. She is knocked out COLD! Wow! Referee takes one look and waves this fight off, folks!

Official Decision: Claire Holt defeats Ginny Gardner via KO6!

AFTER:
To the victor, a forlorn conclusion: Claire Holt smirking confidently at the new girl snoozing at her feet, raising one arm to acknowledge the fans and soaking up the congratulations as though she deserved it all along.

Poor Ginny at least manages to regain some semblance of consciousness within a minute or so, tilting her head from side to side as the medics shine a torchlight into her eyes. The first thing she sees however is a cocky Claire Holt standing over her, both hands firm on her hips.

The veteran blonde bends over and hisses straight into her face: "This is called biting off *way* more than you can chew, Gins. I suggest you take it slower – and I mean MUCH slower.” she laughs. “You're not in this league yet. Happy new year, hon…”

Ginny groaning as a reply, as Claire puts an abrupt and full stop to her plans of ending this year on a high note, with one foot planted firmly down on her heaving tummy, then posing for the cameras as though Ms Gardner serving as a delightful Christmas present for her to unravel.
