BEFORE: Whereas Priyanka Chopra hasn't been able to achieve as much success as her HISC stablemates in the past, she stopped another Lioness member Nicole Scherzinger back in 2016 and vows to claim her fourth straight victory to cap off a career season. Meanwhile Minka Kelly remains stuck in the middle of a disappointing slump which could mark her twilight as an elite fighter. The Lioness stable has found a proper Alpha replacement in Nina Dobrev but Minka hopes to avoid the fate of Nicole Scherzinger who keeps taking hits one after another. Priyanka is no spring chicken herself but going down to this late bloomer is simply unacceptable if Minka wants to go out on her own terms accoring to various pundits.

Rounds 1 & 2:
Minka's been accused of slow starts in numerous previous bouts and this one is no different but Priyanka refuses to engage uptempo action herself and settles for a back & forth single punching tease which officially marks the opening period as a slow burner. That's not exactly a surprise given the combined age of these two brunettes but the bendy display from Minka is truly one for the purists and Priyanka for whatever reason keeps holding her strikes back which might explain her uneven HISC career to date. You'd never expect such a defensive display from Michelle Williams & her flyweight buddies especially given Minka's lack of aggressive zip in the early stages. LCA coach Eva Mendes seems satisfied with the strategic battle but the crowd wants more action so it's no wonder their reaction is rather muted to say the very least.

Rounds 3 & 4:
Things get a lot more hectic in the third as Minka finally cashes in on the southpaw stance to drill through Priyanka's high guard. The Indian woman struggles to match her opponent's footwork and gets rattled around the ring even though the big shots remain at premium but the sheer workload allows Kelly to force the fellow brunette on the back foot where she's unable to mount a significant counter-punching drive. She escapes getting trapped on the ropes though and perhaps Minka has lost her step here as she keeps bullying her foe around but skims off her high guard too often to make a difference. It's a cagey affair between the two cougars alas Minka has shown superior durability over the past few months which actually defies her age.

Round 5:
Minka finally targets the fellow brunette's body and this is where Priyanka becomes vulnerable as she bends awkwardly upon the initial impact which allows the southpaw fighter to whack her below the elbows and stagger on her heels in the center of the ring. Chopra's unable to bide her time in mid-distance anymore and wilts under the steady body-busting pressure which Minka fuels through a nasty hook on the jaw that half-spins her victim to the side. Priyanka tries to slam one over the top but the desperate heave goes nowhere and she is ROCKED with a brutal left hook on the nose THAT DROPS HER DOWN ON HER BACKSIDE moments later! Huh! Now we get the fireworks as Priyanka stares up at her rival with that steely shade in her eyes. She soaks up the eight count but appears to be upset rather than hurt which prevents Kelly from shutting her down wholesale. The Lioness girl applies the aggressive pressure but suddenly Chopra shows her agile side and escapes the American's range even though she'll have to show a lot more to turn this fight around!

Rounds 6 & 7:
Maybe Priyanka tries to outlast the otherwise durable LCA cougar as she falls even further on the cards when she hangs back in mid-range for majority of the next two rounds. It's a strange tactics even considering the Bollywood background but the unorthodox plan does the trick forcing Minka into blowing her fuse in unexpected fashion. The Lioness southpaw becomes visibly annoyed over the back & forth retreat briefly interrupted by a single punching response that goes nowhere. However Chopra's footwork is really up to the task and Minka grindfest attitude runs into a wall when she shows signs of fatigure late in the seventh, Priyanka pounces on her opportunity and slams her most promising series in several minutes as she scythes across Kelly's nose & mouth but it's too late to change the scorecards now and even a late busting drive on the midsection does little to help the Indian's cause.

Round 8:
Maybe Minka should sit on the cards and lure her opponent into a trap? She has the elite footwork at her disposal but she no longer carries the knockdown momentum and what's worse, she walks into a cruel left hook on the nose eary in the eight which Chopra swiftly follows with a jug muggin' strike that bends the American forward on the spot. Ugh! Priyanka hoofs the high guard aside and whacks the stranded foe over the top; the crowd wakes up just in time to witness a proper head-hunting bash that has Chopra on top when she finds a cross hooking double on the nose. Ugh! Minka aches in pain but gets caught out with more jug muggin' menace which suggests the HISC crew did watch that Doll Ball PPV after all. Priyanka goes all in to punish the southpaw's breasts and forces the ex-champion into a lenghty clinch late in the going before another belting hook bends Kelly into loud spasms one more time. That's probably Priyanka's best round of the night and it comes at the best of times!

Round 9:
Minka rallies to punish some exotic flesh early in the ninth but she eats another cruel hook over the top which cuts her up above the right eye and soon Chopra follows the Bella Thorne ride to camp inside Minka's cleavage for good. It's unorthodox enough to leave the fatigued opponent scowling for respite before a quick accidental head-butt sepearates the two for a moment.. the ref can't move fast enough to order a break and Chopra recovers first as she SLAMS a wild hook on the nose bursting Minka into a blood-seeping nightmare! Whoa! Who needs JMD when you can rough your rival up like that? Minka wobbles forward with a whimper, it's almost like she wants to wipe the blood away but as she takes her eye off the seething Indian, she gets SMOKED with a left hook on the brow ridge that LIFTS her off the canvas and SENDS CRASHING DOWN IN THE CORNER!!! Huh! And that should do it, folks! Minka mumbles her demise while rolling on her side with eyes closed and it's KO9 Priyanka Chopra in come-from-behind fashion!!!

AFTER: A shouting match occurs between Priyanka and LCA coach Eva Mendes but there's nothing the proud Latina can do about Minka getting smoked in such a fashion. The fight was Minka's to lose after the seventh and she LOST it to pile more pressure on her dwindling elite career. Is she even elite now? The LCA front office kinda saw it coming when they signed Nina Dobrev and there's very little left to defend following this defeat against a ho-hum fellow cougar. If 2018 was bad enough then 2019 shapes up to be Minka's FCBA swan song at this rate unless a true miracle happens. The arrow is pointing down the vultures are ready to strike sooner rather than later!
