BEFORE: It's not very often you see two Canadians battling for lineal FCBA title but that's the case tonight as reigning bantamweight champion Nina Dobrev is ready to rumble at the expense of Alyssa Lynch. Nina makes no secret that Alyssa's nationality played a major role in this match-up and the word is this is only the first step of Nina wrestling away the Lioness Club of America Alpha supremacy from Jessica Lowndes. Of course Nina was born in Bulgaria but she calls Canada her second home and with Demi Lovato going on rehab the most obvious title challenger was removed from the picture by default. If Nina can't seek revenge against her former Lookout! employers, she will follow the Canadian path to establish herself as the true elite fighter which she was never granted under Paris Hilton's guidance.

Meanwhile this title opportunity spoiled Alexis Ren's Birthday Bash timeline but Alyssa navigated all three of her opponents (including some lightweights) in knockout style so she's technically in the form of her life this month! It's her fourth fight since December 2nd but when you can upstage the old VIX frenemy Alexis Ren on PPV stage there's nothing to be worried about! Alyssa's ready for the biggest test of her boxing career and she spits venom at the fellow brunette during the introductions and refuses to touch her gloves which stirs more grudge feelings between the two!

Round 1:
Most fans expected fireworks straight from the bell but Alyssa's winning December run has apparently pressed pause on Nina's aggressive ideas so she prefers to see out the challenger's plan first. The problem is, Alyssa refuses to engage in a punchfest frenzy which slows the action right down to the tune of mere duck & weave display interrupted by a brief single punch or two. It's like these two give each other too much respect and even the fans find it hard going to support the Canadian Alpha fight here before an angry scream from VIX coach Steve Boyd triggers a late jabbing series from Lynch which only bounces off the stubborn Dobrev guard and leads into a lenghty clinching stalemate to close out a sluggish round.

Round 2:
Nina drops the defensive plan as she realizes Alyssa might well be a little worn out following the Alexis Ren Bash procedure (especially the VIP parties that followed the boxing part) and dominates the close range action through repeated hooks up the middle that leave the challenger vulnerable to the body. Nina once aspired for the 'Fittest of 'em All' honors until she was unofficially dethroned by Vanessa Hudgens (OOC: no details revealed up to this point) so Alyssa finds it tough going when she tries to outpunch the fellow brunette downstairs and has to yield real estate when those ripping harpoons carve into her ribcage a little too deep for comfort! The plan allows Dobrev to drop the VIX brunette on her heels before blowing her back to the turnbuckle where Lunch simply can't outslug the champion and takes cover behind a desperate earmuff.

Round 3:
Almost a carbon copy of the previous round when Nina's brutal body shots separate girls from the women according to Tess Valmore. Alyssa wasn't ready for THAT as she weaves back & forth on her feet and tries to slow Nina down with some aerial assault that the champion avoids with too much ease. Lynch tries to punish the jug but skims off target and eats a rare hook on the jaw before she wobbles into another gut-checking drive that Dobrev executes to perfection as she traps the hapless challenger in the corner and clobbers her from both flanks to inject more support into the crowd. It's a Canadian battle royale but some Bulgarian flags are spotted too and Dobrev shows no mercy she leaves visible bruises on Alyssa's ribcage and slumps her into spasms at the bell. Huh! All that lightweight success at the Birthday Bash and now THIS? Coach Stevie Boyd is freakin' LIVID!!!

Round 4:
Maybe Demi Lovato checks back from her rehab to accept that Dobrev gauntlet since Alyssa apparently has no answers tonight... oh, wait! She goes off like someone told her she's fired in the morning and for once she beats the older brunette to the punch which sails above the boobs and NAILS the champion on the chin! Huh! Hello, wobbly legs. Nina lets that one slice her up and Lynch takes off with more head shots that suddenly crowd into the champion's jaw and drop her on her heels in no time. It's a lucky one, this pet but she doesn't care and Lynch rattles her foe from both flanks before she takes revenge downstairs and spikes the liver area for a good measure. Even a page from Minka Kelly's defense won't help Nina here as she trips back to the ropes and before she finds a proper response, a booming right cross NAILS her on the nose and drops into more spasms while Alyssa blows by the leaky guard and snaps the champ's ponytail back until the clock runs out on the VIX recovery!

Round 5:
Alyssa finds her groove now and keeps beating a stunned champion to the punch while a reddish mark appears around that wounded nose. It's a potential disaster for Dobrev but she can't quite find her 'Fittest' form here with Alyssa cranking it up on offense. She splits Nina's mitts too often as she drives the leather up the chimney and actually makes the Lioness girl look worse to wear in the middle of another head-hunting frenzy. Ugh! Nina's lips take a quick beating as Lynch barks in anger while delivering the heat and a shocking hook on the liver area backs the Bulgarian-born actress into the corner where Alyssa lashes out from both flanks to open a seeping wound on the nose. Ugh! She's freakin' done it! Nina bleeds at the bell and the challenger is right back here which even leaves Tess Valmore stunned in the booth!

Round 6:
Nina needs to stop thinking about Demi Lovato or else she won't even book the Alpha contest with Jessica Lowndes at this stage. More misery for the champion in the sixth when Alyssa gets fancy and tries to beat her to the body to exact revenge in full. How cheeky is that? A brief clash of heads eventually deprives Alyssa from that route and Nina finds respite in a circling escape where she reboots her tactics to fly over the top and simply outslug the fellow Canadian outright. Alyssa jumps in for easy money as she works on the patched up nose but then eats a cross hook on the brow ridge herself and wobbles onto her heels where Dobrev catches her off guard with a belting hook on the liver. Oi, Aly!!! She didn't see THAT coming!! Lynch trips back to the ropes while shrieking and then eats a free gut shot followed by a crunching hook on the jaw that sends her into a tailspin again! She can't push off her heels and gets pinned in the corner where Dobrev restores the champion's order and rocks the challenger's head back & forth until the clock expires. Ugh! And now Alyssa's left brow ridge is leaking blood which triggers a hectic patch-up work in the VIX corner.

Round 7:
Dobrev lures Lynch into another head-hunting exchange but she displays supreme mobility in the gruesome slugfest that eventually allows her to open the VIX brunette's brow ridge bleeding inside the opening minute. Ugh! Alyssa knows she's sooo close to the promiseland but falls foul of the red mist rush and fails to embrace a quick switch downstairs that slams her on the liver area and has Nina riding the 'Fittest' train once again. Damn, give some credit to old sparring buddy Nessa after all! Nina rips a left cross on the liver outright and after all these efforts she finally has Alyssa shaking... Oi, Aly! The Vancouver native goes LIMP and DROPS TO HER KNEES with her eyes closed but you know where she's hurting right now! She tries to get up at eight and actually gets there at nine but the ref doesn't like it regardless. Add the bleeding from the brow ridge and the facts are brutal: Alyssa Lynch is a hot mess right here! She doesn't get the benefit of the doubt and the champion Nina Dobrev escapes with a TKO7 victory!!!

AFTER: "And STILL....", Nina laughs when she realizes that Alyssa is unable to continue and quite frankly the proud challenger literally slumps into the referee's arms to remove any doubts about the decision. "I'd knock her lights OUT if they let her continue! This was a no-brainer but she hang in there as long as she could!", Nina is quick to answer the questions while coach Mendes wraps the FCBA title belt around her waist: "Yeah, she was tough! Tougher than I thought she would be but I have to give credit to little Nessa. She knows what she's doing there in the gym! That's why she will join the Hall of Fame one day and who knows, I might get there as well! (...) Jessica? I know she's upset but I don't care. I'm the unofficial Lioness Alpha already and I drunk way too much tequila with Nessa to diss her like that! Plus it's that Lovato chick that backstabbed me when she joined the Lookouts! Is she back from the dead? Can I officially ask her for a championship date now? Like really? Because if there's one thing I have to do before I leave this space, that's punching Demi Lovato's teeth out. The bytch has it coming for years!"
