Intro:
The second New Blood bantamweight tournament semifinal is up now, Bailee Madison meets Jessica Sula here in New Jersey's Boardwalk Hall.

Bailee is 19 years old; she stands 5'6 and holds a record of 0 wins and 1 defeat, that was to Natalie Alyn Lind.

Jessica is 24 years old; she stands 5'5 and also holds a record of 0 wins and 1 defeat, both debuting in 2017.

The fighters were interviewed by Lucy Liu on the set of the FCBA Network, up first was Bailee with her mentor Rachel McAdams, the two sitting next to each other looking excited to be there.

"I have been buzzing waiting for this tournament to begin, I've obliviously been training with Rachel and the Foxfire girls for the past year, this is what I have been building to" says Bailee as she looks set to burst.

Lucy asks if it is an unfair advantage that Bailee has been training so closely with a stable in the build up, Rachel answers "you have to remember that Bailee started in our office, only getting a few lessons a week, only since she turned 18 have we been able to give her more work"

She continues "this is a job interview I guess, if she can prove that she can win fights, if the answer is no then she doesn't have to worry, we'll continue to help build her skills up"

The final question is what does Bailee think about Jessica, she says "I don't know much about her other then she lost her debut too, hopefully I can overcome her and take home the trophy"

Now Jessica is on the couch with her mentor Erin Richards for the tournament, the two welsh lasses full of smiles as they shake Lucy's hand before they begin the interview.

Jessica telling Lucy "it's so good to be back in the ring, my first fight didn't go to plan of course, these last two years though I've worked my arse off to return back here with much more confidence"

With Erin saying "Jessica definitely has improved, we both sparred together before her debut, the first day we came together for this tournament was like night and day, she looks impressive now"

When asked about Bailee; Jessica shrugs her shoulders before answering "I am only interesting in winning the trophy, Bailee doesn't worry me one bit, none of the girls do"

Fight night; Bailee is first out with Rachel beside her, they head down to the ring looking in good spirits, Bailee throwing punches on her way to the ring as Rachel tells her "this is what we've worked for"

Bailee is wearing a red sports bra, red trunks with black trim, matching shoes, while her gloves are black with red thumbs, her hair is braided.

Getting into the ring; Bailee waves to the fans on her way to her corner, smiling as she warms up by shadow boxing.

Jessica now heads out with Erin beside her, the two Welsh lasses smirk as they stare down at the ring, before Jessica begins to walk down to the ring with Erin telling her to prove she is the best in that ring.

She is wearing a white sports bra with red trim, white trunks with a red dragon across them, red gloves and shoes, while her hair is up in a ponytail.

Climbing into the ring; Jessica bounces on her toes in the center of the ring, posing for the fans before she heads off to her own corner.

For two fighters still looking for a first win, they look confident as they step to the center of the ring, eyes locked as they listen to the referee.

They bump gloves when told to, then jog back to their corners to get final instructions, the bell rings to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.

Round 1:
The early action sees both fighters probe the others defences, Bailee looks the quicker of the two as she moves inside to attack, then moves back out when she starts getting hit.

Bailee ducks a left cross; landing two body shots as she moves to the inside, taking a clipping right across the top of her head in reply.

The next time Bailee tries to move inside, a right lands on her nose to open her up to two more punches across her face.

That gives Jessica the chance to step forwards behind straight punches, forcing Bailee to cover up and retreat around the outside of the ring.

The Welsh fighter isn't letting her have much time to breath though, keeping on the front foot with head hunting punches her main weapon right now.

Bailee tries to dip down but is met with a right hook to the top of her head, forcing her back to the outside as Jessica shows she seems to have the power advantage of the two.

The round ends with both women returning back to their corners, Bailee getting told off Rachel to not get worried by the first round.

Round 2:
The fighters resume near the center of the ring, eyes locked as they dance around each other, trading single punches as they circle.

This time Bailee starts feinting, making Jessica react too early and allowing the American to find her way to the inside to land two punches to the boy, then moves back to the outside.

Bailee starts showing off her boxing skills, making Jessica think about when to throw her own punches, giving Bailee free reign to work.

When Jessica is able to land a jab on the top of Bailee's head, it seems to give her the confidence to throw more punches as steps on the front foot.

She misses with a right hook though, Bailee leaning out the way before she counters with an uppercut that puts Jessica onto her heels.

With Jessica covering up as the round comes to a close, Erin not happy when she returns to her corner, telling Jessica to not doubt herself against the speed of Bailee.

Who is looking more relaxed as she sits on her stool; Rachel chatting away with her as they discuss the success they had.

Round 3:
Both fighters seem in full flow now, the action starting to go more back and forth, as Bailee uses her quickness to move inside before dancing back out, compared to Jessica stepping forwards to catch Bailee to her face to knock her backwards.

As Bailee moves in to work the body, she gets in two good shots before trying to get back out, this time Jessica follows her with a right across the top of her head.

The Welsh fighter powers onwards with a left hook that makes Bailee retreat behind her guard, Jessica taking the opportunity to get into the face of her opponent with more punches at a time.

Bailee manages to move out the firing line by ducking a left cross, getting into space where she can work at her pace again.

But a straight lands on the top of her head as she tries to step in close, opening her up to three more punches that knock her head backwards.

Jessica coming on strong late in the round, making Bailee stay near the ropes behind her guard, with several punches finding a way through the mitts of the younger fighter to knock her head back.

Till the round comes to a close; Jessica grins as she turns to return to her corner, Erin nodding at her as she sits down, telling her to keep this pressure up on Bailee.

Round 4:
It's Jessica who comes out the gates quickly this round, snapping the head back of Bailee with straight shots as she begins to walk her down.

Bailee needing to get on her bike to look for different angles to attack from, her feints aren't having the success they were earlier due to the aggression of her opponent.

A mistimed right cross from Sula allows Madison to get where she wants, head down as she rips in hooks under the ribs of the older fighter.

Who retreats back with a more aggressive Bailee sticking to her, momentum changes again as Rachel yells at her fighter to turn the screw on her opponent.

Jessica finding herself boxing off the back foot; which doesn't seem to suit her at all as Bailee is able to pierce her guard, sending sweat off the head of Jessica into the air.

With a straight knocking Jessica onto the ropes, where she looks to fight her way out of, both fighters landing stiff shots that continue to mark up the others face.

The round soon ends with both women giving the other an intense stare, before jogging off to their corners to get cleaned up, knowing they are in a real fight to get to the final.

Round 5:
Bailee it seems is wanting to stand more to trade, Rachel doesn't look too happy with this change in tactic, it seems to be working early on as Bailee uses head movement to dodge then counter strike.

Allowing her to start backing up Jessica to the outside of the ring, with Jessica's cheeks starting to look a little swollen from the hits they are taking.

Bailee goes for an uppercut after a jab that misses it's target, instead it's her who takes a right across her face to open her up to a left hook to the side of her head.

Both women settle for fighting in the pocket, where Jessica's strength seems to prevail as she nudges her opponent back with her left, then lands an uppercut of her own.

That looks to have rocked Bailee, who does her best to cover up as Jessica throws a flurry of punches, most are finding their target to make the American back into a corner.

Rachel yelling at her to clinch; when she tries to Jessica simply pushes Bailee back into the corner, where she unloads on the younger woman with big shots smacking across her face.

Bailee tries to cover up as best she can, uppercuts though start to smash through her gloves, snapping her head back as the crowd begin to wonder if Madison has bitten off more then she can chew with her more aggressive tactics.

The bell rings to a sigh from McAdams, with Bailee looking a worn as she heads back to her corner, blood running from her nostrils as her corner team work on patching her up.

Across the ring Jessica bangs her gloves together, as of signalling the drum beat of Bailee's demise, Erin wiping her down tells Jessica to keep knocking the stuffing out of Bailee.

Round 6:
That beating looks to have taken the spring from Bailee's step, with Jessica matching her footwork around the ring, each slams stiff shots to the others face as they fight it out around the ring.

Bailee looks to pay Jessica back for the pounding the last round with a hard right hook, JESSICA DUCKS IT BEFORE LANDING AN OVERHAND LEFT FLUSH ON THE CHIN OF BAILEE, WHOSE LEG TURN TO JELLY, A RIGHT HOOK SENDS HER GUMSHIELD FLYING AS BAILEE FALLS TO THE CANVAS!

Rachel covers her face as she didn't want to see her girl down, especially in such a brutal fashion, 1...2...3...4.. Jessica looks ready in the neutral corner to strike if needed, 5...6...7.. But Bailee can only be heard groaning, no real movement from her, 8...9...10 as she is counted out!

Winner Jessica Sula KO Round 6

After:
It's Jessica who advances to the tournament final later tonight, an emphatic knockout to give her a statement win tonight.

She pounds her chest with her right glove as she stares down at the beaten form of Bailee, with Erin rushing into the ring to give her a hug and a kiss on the cheek.

The ringside doctor rushes into the ring, giving Bailee smelling salts to waken her up, slowly she is helped to sit up, with defeat dawning on the youngster, making her begin sobbing as she tells Rachel "I felt great! What went wrong?!"

Rachel telling Bailee to stop crying, soon she gives her protégé a shoulder to cry on when she sees Bailee is too upset that she lost to really listen to her.

Jessica just laughs at them, telling Erin "god that bytch shouldn't be in this ring with real women" Erin just chuckles as they stare at them.

Soon enough Bailee is standing to a round of applause for her effort, she thanks her fans as Jessica can be seen rolling her eyes in the background.

Rachel helps Bailee out the ring, the ringside doctor wanting her to go to the medical room to have more tests after such a vicious knockout, the fact she looks to be fine is a great sign for her.

Though it is back to the drawing board for Bailee, she definitely has skills to work from, just maybe physically she isn't ready to deal with more powerful fighters.

Inside the ring Jessica gets her hand raised by the referee, a big grin on her face as she is one win away from being the New Blood champion.

Kathryn Newton stands in her way of that glory, something her and Erin discuss as they come back together, Jessica sounds confident as she tells Erin she will win the trophy, to a big smile from her mentor as the two leave the ring together.
