Eiza Gonzales versus Lily Aldridge

Eiza not losing ground for the loss to Yvonne, but needs to win to stay in the lightweight title picture. “Adriana isn’t interested in the Ice Hotel, but I am! I need to stay busy until Alexis is looking for a challenger!”

Lily not letting her mini-slump to start the year get her down, “It’s my time and I’m not going to let these kids take my place!”

R1: Eiza trying to jab her way in - Lily fading her, banging away on the eyes with her own cruel stick. End of the first minute - Aldridge's got her cut, Gonzalez wiping at her left brow, getting steered around the ring. Right hands slicing in off the jab - Eiza getting clocked, stiffening, raising and crossing her arms after the fact - she's wobbly butt. Aldridge emptying the howitzer, really greasing Eiza's chin, putting jelly in those tan, dense thighs, but Gonzalez won't go down. By the final minute - busted up, flat footed Eiza munches her way into Lily's ribcage and has her suffering against the ropes. Back&forth first ends with Aldridge lolling back, hands at her temples, ribcage wide open under a bludgeoning Gonzalez onslaught to the bell.

R2: Lily takes it to Eiza this round. Setting up midring, pawing the jab then stinging it, confusing Gonzalez with broken rhythm, showing the left then bringing the right hook instead. End of min.1, Eiza still biting on feints, Lily able to jab, start the left, swat the right and DROP a huge left hand straight to the point of the chin, sending Mexican girl reeling into the ropes. Second minute Aldridge supple through her torso and legs as she stalks Gonzalez, pawing and poking misdirection punches - she lands ANOTHER vicious straight left up the middle, driving her head back and sprawling her against the strands. Final minute, Eiza proving robust, shaking off the chin-checks, coming back with crisp hook/right hand combos sharp from the shoulders, Lily giving ground, slipping punches at the bell.

R3: Lily looks to hang back and box this round, Eiza bangs away a superb jab that forces the California girl off her stance. Aldridge hounded to the ropes, Gonzalez sets up on her and girls slug it up toe to toe on a little patch of canvas near the Lioness corner. Eiza with her forehead on Lily's chest, bracing with palms on the hips or tuff forearm nudging in the ribs, Aldridge just huddled in close, thumping out rhythmic 3 and 4 punch bursts. Lily butt-in-ropes, cheek on Eiza's skull, elbows either in, or she's trying to wrap up around Mexican's triceps - it's sweaty stuff. Lily offering back downstairs, reaching round Eiza's body to dig at her flanks, or looking for uppercuts while leaning back into the ropes. Gonzalez carries the round though - fists methodically bashing away to the waist, chest and face, laying down a nice numbing barrage as Aldridge lays in for a seige.

R4: Crowd roars as Eiza eats a HARD right hand on her mouth, put her wobbly butt and she's a different fighter afterwards. Lily coming forward aggressive, jab POUNDING away head and shoulders, pinging right crosses, coming back with stroking hooks across Eiza's trembling tummy. First clinches of the fight for Gonzales as she gloms on behind Aldridge's elbows, looking weary, chin-checked and groggy: Lily yanking to free her arms, clearly wanting to bring decisive battle to Eiza.

R5: GREAT jab early from Eiza, splits Lily’s lower lip, rocks her back on her heels in confusion. THICK right/left on the waist, freezing her in place, then Gonzalez walks her to the ropes, mauls her until ref’s breaks. Second minute, Eiza scoring to the body, then eases out, inducing Lily to stumble forward: get clipped a GORGEOUS right uppercut off the right foot! BEATDOWN! Gonzalez dishing out the hardest leather of the night, Aldridge slides right along the ropes, Eiza steps-with: a right cross smashing Lilys face hard to starboard, erupts into a sudden left uppercut off the right foot--sending Aldridge SPRAWLING to the corner. LILY’S HELPLESS! Eiza pushes her way in, Lily blubbering, barely registering the brutality, Gonzalez shrugging away hard and fast to the bell.

R6: Wounded Lily comes out fighting, packing a step-in hook thick to jug, backing Eiza up. Baring her teeth, wading in with a walking barrage of rising lefts and rights, Eiza bludgeoned to ropes, Breathless clinch Gonzalez tieing up Aldridge’s arms for the ref’s break, able to step out, create space, Lily trudging forward, Eiza stepping right, jabbing, measuring, walking her prey into hard right hands upside the head, bending low on follow through to avoid the receipts. Lily headhunting, but good movement allows Gonzalez to weave under wide strokes, bite back at ribs, tummy, tits—short, spanking blows, really taking the wind out of Aldridge’s sails. Final minute, Eiza working the body digs a gut-wrenching hook to Lily’s liver, locking her up stiff. Gonzalez shifts her hips, rips the left uppercut through the middle: head snap mouthpiece goes tumbling end over end through the air. RIPPING Left uppercut as Eiza shifts weight to back foot, Lily stunned, wobbling forward. Short, brutal blows POUNDING midsection, turning her shoulder to pick up chin TIGHT: Gonzalez a machine at this point. Aldridge blundering, stumbling, shipping shots and GOES DOWN! Spilling to all fours, that’s it for Lily all rung up, can’t get off her knees—KO6 in brutal fashion Eiza Gonzalez.

After: Eiza dishing out a beating for the ages as makes her case that she belongs in the lightweight elite! Lily outclassed tonight, is this sign she’s being left behind?
