BEFORE:What can we say? Ginny really impressing people lately with wins over a string of dangerous opponents and a consecutive winning streak, not to mention. The blonde is all smiles at the press conference, looking relaxed and ready for her Irish foe for tonight's Doll Ball.

"Honestly, I'm feeling great tonight! I’m on a pretty good roll after beating Briana last week - she really was one of the more dangerous opponent I’ve faced so far and I still managed to follow my game-plan and get that win. I'm going to do the same tonight. Saoirse is pretty new to this, but she's won this "New Blood" Bantam tournament back in 2016 so must be doing a lot of things right. Still, she's got a lot to prove with this being her first fight under completely new management. I'm fully expecting her to make my life hard, but at the end of the day, I'm still going to whoop her butt for my 9th career win!" Ginny ending off with a wide grin for the cameras.

Her opponent is one heck of an actress, and there's a good reason why she won that tournament all those years ago as well. Saoirse tough as nails even though she doesn't always look the part. The gingerhead is grinning to herself as she listens to Ginny's comments, unfazed by her sudden optimism. It’s Ronan’s time to speak and the Irish blonde has plenty to say:

“What I know is this: Ginny’s only had seven more fights than I have. I don't think that's such a big advantage, do you? Yes, I'm the underdog tonight, and yes, she's the homegrown girl, but I see this fight as a good test for me. I'm giving up a few inches here but I don't have much to lose. And if I DO beat her tonight, it's going to be pretty huge. Make no mistake - I've been training hard for this fight, and I think I'm going to surprise a lot of people tonight. But mostly, I'm going to surprise Ginny…” Saoirse suddenly turns her gaze towards the American blonde’s direction, greeting Gardner with a mean stare. “...and I'm gonna mess her up badly. Let's go do this, shall we?”

Girls have a lot at stake as they come to the center and shake hands, before posing at the podium. Ginny can't afford to lose her streak tonight to this rookie if she ever hopes of being taken seriously in this division, whereas Saoirse, for all her tough talk and wins in the ring, still has plenty to prove if she wants to make a name for herself in the Bantamweight division.

Later, they stride down the ramp of the arena, each looking confident in her own way. Ginny smiling and waving to her fans, wearing her baby blue and gray colours covered by a long white robe flowing out back, long blonde hair in a big bun with two curled strands in the front framing the blonde’s gorgeous face. Saoirse on the other hand flying her own country's colours bright green and orange, wearing an olive-coloured sports bra and dull mustard tights, hair in a sleek tight ponytail.

Referee calls both girls to the center and expounds the rules. Both girls nod and tap gloves when called upon and necessary. Finally in their respective corners, there's the bell! HERE we go with ten rounds of Bantamweight action!

ROUND 1:This is certainly going to be an interesting contest, not so much because both girls are different in their fighting styles, but because they're similar in so many ways. Yes, Saoirse is a few inches shorter than Virginia tonight, but both women are known for their defensive capabilities and cautious approaches to fighting smart. Well, that's what we were expecting, anyways, only to have Ginny suddenly explode from her corner and rush the other blonde head-on! What the what?? Gardner must be trying on some new clothes tonight and she hounds Saoirse good and early with snap punches aimed at the head, hoping to overwhelm the Irish girl, whom one must assume has to be rusty and slow, after being so long out of the ring. Early on, Gardner actually successful in her wild blitz, scoring off the nose and mostly thumps into the side of Ronan’s head. Her opponent too stunned by the sheer number of incoming blows to effectively defend all of them, with Ronan focusing more on her guard for the majority of the round, barely hitting any punches back. Therefore, the round ends and it's a triumph for one girl and an unmitigated disaster for the other. Looks like Gardner's aggression appears to be working, for now at least. And if we must say, we kinda like this new, fiery look for the Doll!

ROUND 2:More of the same as Gardner hopes to wrap things up in time for supper. She flies forward and immediately resumes her jabbing skills straight and directed into Ronan's guard, only to get slammed in the face when the Irish woman absorbs a couple of token shots to her guard before she blows back with a CRAZY right hand! Ouch! That right fist really packed into Ginny's cheek, sending her reeling! Ronan on the offensive all of a sudden, having timed her opponent's strategy well and let the cat out of the bag! Ginny slightly disoriented but still standing - but oh how the tables have turned in an instant as she gets forced backwards with a barrage of punches to her her face instead. Ronan methodical, patient, picking and choosing her shots well with each advancing step forward, doing some serious damage to the Doll with more invasive shots into her body, landing frequently until the bell saves Ginny from a landslide in her opponent’s favour.

ROUND 3:That's the nature of boxing, folks, you never really know what the deal is until you each secure a round each for yourself. Both girls forced to reevaluate their strategies in the third as they adapt and attack on the fly. Ginny of course trying to use her experience to out think and outbox the relative newcomer, but finding Saoirse's guard near impregnatrable even after slapping tons of punches into it. Ronan on the other hand biding her time and advancing forward slowly, on occasion blasting a big cross-hand clean into the Doll's arms, sending her stumbling back from the surprising power present in each shot. Ginny on the other hand relying solely on her long jab to dictate terms. Only its not working out as well as she'd hoped. For every three jabs that land on Ronan's guard, the Irish girl scoring with one powerful return shot that has a much higher accuracy rate. At the bell, Ginny left gasping and holding her tummy in pain after a third such spear pierces her clean down the middle.

ROUND 4:Things certainly looking up for Saoirse as we enter the fourth - could this be the turning point in her career in the ring? She's fought a variety of opponent's so far in her brief cycle, and though Ginny would like to discount it in terms of numbers, Ronan clearly has fought more quality opponents in the past. She keeps to her strategy here of slow and steady to win this race, but the problem is Gardner is also eager to adapt to the changing tides, keeping her distance for the majority of the first two minutes, then suddenly bursting back into action only when she sees Ronan start to tire from all that swinging. It's a last Hail Mary attempt at aggression from the Doll's resident blonde, who rushes in and resumes her wild storm of punches sent left and right into Ronan’s arms. Saoirse not entirely not expecting this, and a wild brawl erupts at center ring as both girls stand and trade blows to the face and body without either one backing down! On the surface, Ginny eating a couple hooks to the side of her head and into the ribs, but smart observers noticing the way she's also dodging as many bombs as she can, weaving that torso backwards and then dishing out the punishment two-fold to Saoirse. Bell rings and both girls look hurt, only it's Ronan who looks worse for wear! What a match this is turning out to be!

ROUND 5:Saoirse got herself outplayed in that last round, thinking Ginny wanted to brawl with her in close quarters. Whereas Gardner should know full well that the longer she stays in the clinch, the more likely she's gonna get floored by the Irish girl. That being said, enough's enough for Ginny's corner, throwing in the towel not in terms of the match (don't ya worry) but more so regarding her aggressive strategy. Ginny circling left and right instead, confusing Saoirse to no end, who also chooses to hang back in the early minutes. And it's a good thing too - Gardner's about to run out of steam from all that rushing forward in the first four rounds, now narrowly avoiding Ronan's hooks that are thrown dangerous close to her face. Saoirse getting jabbed back to the cheek in the last minute, but then wisely switches to her own long hand and scoring off Ginny’s tiring frame until the bell finally rings. Well, some might argue that it could have been much worse for the Doll, especially if she had stuck to her reckless strategy of charging straight at her foe this round.

ROUND 6:This way, it's almost entirely back to Gardner's show as it’s Saoirse's turn to slow down. First two minutes see Ronan turtling up as the Doll circles inwards and strikes at her with her jab. Pik pak pik pak of leather landing on skin as Ginny's goal is to out-punch her opponent for the long haul. Saoirse forced backwards, frustration building at not being able to take down this stick figure of a blonde that’s opposite from her. It should have been done easier and earlier, but even now, she simply can't quite land her thumb on the slippery girl. Gardner landing a final flurry to the nostrils and that's enough action for her this round, scooting backwards and then keeping her distance like she's been taught, and allowing time to become her opponent's main enemy for the remainder of the round. Saoirse discovers what’s happening only too late, rushing forward with her fists flying, but only succeeding in landing shots on Gardner's tummy before the bell sounds her out too early. Ginny with another round under her belt!

ROUND 7:It's something we're not all too accustomed to seeing, aren't we? Not so much the all out aggression between girls or someone’s punching power on display tonight, more so a good fighting strategy employed by one woman that’s starting to pay off for her. But will it be enough to take Ginny over the finishing line? Saoirse certainly battling back as best she can, suddenly trying her hand at her own brand of aggression as her corner urges her to make up for lost points. She storms forward, arms inwards and body gravity low. Ginny ready for her, however, doing the same and keeping her feet moving backwards, thereby negating most of the body shots that Saoirse is sweeping at her undercarriage. Irish girl does get some shots in at the tummy, but regrets it pretty soon afterwards when Ginny sticks her own gloves straight into the middle of her face! Grunt and gurgle as Saoirse sees stars, her eyes beginning to water uncontrollably from the stinging pain. It's cue for Ginny to rush in and finish her off! The Doll pounces onto her like a wildcat, landing more shots to the head and relishing seeing her grimace with each blow. Final uppercut to the chin smacks Saoirse’s head clean up and backwards, before sending the Irish blonde sprawling DOWN to the canvas on her back, arms lifelessly resting on the mat above her head. Ronan’s chest heaving rapidly and the only movement from her is her eyes blinking as the ref orders Ginny to a neutral corner before starting the count. Ginny clearly hoping this fight is over as she stares at the fallen Irish girl with bated breath but quickly smiles in relief as the count reaches 8 and Ronan is still flat on her back! 9, 10 and this contest is OVER!

Official Decision: Ginny Gardner defeats Saoirse Ronan via KO7!

AFTER:Ginny with a wide grin and raise of her arm into the air, before trotting back to her corner and high-fiving her fellow teammates. She waves to the crowd, before walking over to Saoirse to graciously check on her for a moment.

Saoirse still looking dazed as she tries to sit up against the ropes, but accepts Ginny's hand as the Doll offers to help her back up to her feet. Both girls share a few positive words and a brief hug, before they head back to their corners for the official post-mortem.

Ginny already speaking to reporters a minute later as she makes her way out of the ring “Good fight tonight. Saoirse is a good competitor and gave me plenty of trouble in there…she has a bright future if she puts in the work. I’m DEFINITELY putting in the work, no f***ing around for me.” She chuckles. ”I want to be at the top and I’m slowly making my way there! Later guys!”

The victorious blonde lifts her fingers in a ‘peace’ gesture towards the cameras before being escorted backstage by Dollhouse staff, enjoying plenty of cheers on the way. Another win tonight for Virginia and we can’t wait to see where this year takes this promising young talent.
