Before: “Of course I am grateful to Kristen and Front Street for giving me this title shots,” says Sarah Carter. “It will be my first title shot since 2014 and my chance to wear those belts for the fourth time. I am very eager for this fight. The thing of it is, I have my doubts about Stewart as champion.”

Kristen Stewart looks up from the speakers table which is located next to the podium sharoly: “And what is that supposed to mean?”

“Anybody who looks at your record, was it? 45-7 would think you must be unbeatable, but Krissy, you know as well as I do that you built that record on a bunch of Asylum Arena jobbers.”

Kristen gets red in the face and jumps up: “Don’t you dare disrespect my record! I earned my title you over-the-hill palooka!”

Sarah smiles sweetly: “That why you fighting me? You think an over-the-hill palooka is just the thing to fatten your title record, too. If you do, you have a serious mistake. I am fighting as well as I ever have. Just ask Hayden Panettiere and Danielle Campbell. Younger than me and I knocked them both out.”

Kristen marches over to Sarah. It is suddenly apparent that she not only younger but taller than the blonde veteran. Sarah looks unintimidated.

“You want a catfight, Krissy?” Sarah asks. “I can accommodate you on that, too.”

Kristen glares at the older woman: “Oh, I want one, but that would just be wasting energy I need for the fight. You don’t think I deserve to be champion? I know the best way to change your mind: beat the snot out of you and make you admit the truth. Michelle Williams found out how good I am—so will you!”

“Then you will have earned it,” Sarah said suddenly become affable, “and no one will ever doubt you again.”

Kristen looked bewildered at the shift: “Thank you—I think.”

Sarah lowered her voice to a stage whisper: “A tip, Krissy: always try to keep your opponent’s mentally off balance. It will help.”

Kristen grimaced: “That sounds more like you, Sarah.”

“Of course it does, see you at the fight and keep that belt polished. I want it looking good when they strap it around my waist.”

“Oh, I’ll keep it polished,” Kristen retorts, “so it will look good around MY waist.”

Fight night finds Sarah Carter coming to the ring accompanied by trainer Virginia Madsen. She is looking her usual “Ice Queen” self, though she gives a regal nod to her more vocal enthusiasats. In the ring she reveals her favorite royal blue bikini with black boots and gloves, royal blue laces. Her hair is pulled back into a French braid down her back.

Then the defending champion Kristen Stewart comes to the ring with the title belt over her shoulder with trainer Neve Campbell at her side. Kristen is in a red bikini with black boots and gloves (red laces). Her short cropped hair is wetted down.

The preliminaries with the referee go crisply and without fuss. Both fighters look determined and appear to want to waste no time getting to the boxing. Tap of the gloves. Trip back to their corners and the ladies are set. The bell rings.

R1: Sarah aggressive in the opening round. She works Kristen to the head. Kristen evading a lot of this early, but Sarah gets the range and scores some solid blows to the jaw and side of the head, Kristen ducking down, backing up, then circling as she tries to use the jab to counter. Sarah showing some good mobility as well and she’s varying her head shots with solid hooks to the abs and raking Kristen in the flanks. Kristen seems to be studying the unfamiliar Sarah and taking punishment as she does her recon work. Sarah shaking Kristen up late with a nice combo to the chin, but Kristen quick to cover up and stay on her feet. Round ends as Sarah Carter wins the first round wide.

R2: Kristen now showing more offensive action this round, she’s striking at Sarah from a distance. Sarah getting smacked again and again to the cheekbones, then down to the belly and then up to the breasts. Nice, stinging punches from the champ. Sarah suddenly moves in close and forcing some toe to toe action. Kristen taking up the challenge and she gives Sarah righty back to the body. Two are firing away, mainly shirt right and left hooks lifted into belly, ribs and breasts. Kristen staying with Sarah, but then spots an opening and slides a right uppercut behind Sarah’s gloves to bang the blonde’s chin hard. Sarah lurching back, trying to pull herself together as Kristen pounds abs. Sarah stabilizes behind her jab to the bell, but Kristen’s able to win a close round.

R3: Sarah and Kristen both waste no time in getting to mid-ring to start exchanging punches. Kristen trying to keep Sarah at a distance, but Sarah’s working her way in. Sarah going hard to the head as Kristen tries to evade, but Sarah’s aim is getting better. She scores to Kristen’s jaw and is making the champ a little shaky in the legs. Kristen backing up for the breather, but Sarah giving her no relief. Now she goes with some jolting hooks to the stomach. Kristen hunching up from the body blows. Then Sarah sees her chance and brings a right cross crashing into Kris’ jaw. Kristen’s head jerked around and her body goes limp. Kristen crashes into the canvas as Sarah steps aside with a smile as she heads for the neutral corner. Kristen pushes herself up onto all fours and shakes her head trying to clear the ringing bells. Referee is counting. Kristen takes a deep breath and slowly rises to beat count at “EIGHT!” Action resumes, but Kris goes prudent and just maintains a tight defense until her senses clear. Sarah obliged to roam the perimeter, landing punches, but nothing that would be a serious threat to the champ. Rounds ends and Sarah has to settle for winning the round wide.

R4: Sarah and Kristen again out quickly at the bell, but this time Kristen strikes first, putting the stagger in Sarah’s step with a lunging right swat to the temple. Then Kris pumps hooks to the belly and goes to the jaw with crisscrossing rights and lefts. Sarah thrown into a shaky retreat after this opening barrage now keeping up a steady drumbeat of punches to head and body. Sarah struggled to stop the advance with the jab, but Kristen was bobbing and weaving as she kept up the attack. Sarah’s jab was not slowing the champ down. Then Kristen clipped Sarah on the chin and Sarah was sent spilling into the ropes. Kristen sprang forward and pounded away at Sarah’s body as she sat on the ropes with her face buried in her gloves. Sarah just had to huddle there and take it, but take it she did to the bell. Kristen stepped back and surveyed Sarah as she slowly left the ropes. Kristen smiled slightly and then walked away. Sarah was slow getting back to own corner and then slumped wearily on her chair. Kristen Stewart had won the round wide.

R5: Sarah seems more deliberate coming out of her corner this round. Kristen striking from a distance with shots mostly aimed at the head, but Sarah’s blunting or dodging most of these. Sarah slow with her counters, but they are well-aimed as Kristen gets struck in the jaw an chin with quick rights and lefts that slip in the gaps in Kristen’s defenses. Kristen trying to press in to get some hooks to the body, but now Sarah picks up the pace and fires back a rapid-fire stream of hooks that have Kristen bending forward. Now Sarah goes for the chin and uppercuts send Kristen back on her heels. Sarah now advancing, gloved fists flashing in and out as they smack hard into Kristen’s breasts, belly and ribs. Then shots off the sides of the champ’s head and Kristen keeps falling back, trying to use her jab, but it’s not slowing Sarah very much. Kristen is able to keep off the ropes, but Sarah dominates much of the round. The bell finds Sarah Carter being awarded the round wide.

R6: Sarah attacking from the start of the new round. She is launching sheets of punches to head and body as though overwhelm Kris, Kristen ducking and dodging to avoid the worst of these power shots. Then she strikes back with hooks to the belly. These stall Sarah’s charge and Kristen counterattacks, trying to get punches into Sarah’s jaw, but she has more success working Sarah’s breasts. Sarah drops back. Sarah and Kristen circle each other, spitting out body shots. Then Sarah slips in an overhand right to Kris’ cheekbone and then a left to the nose. Kristen falters and Sarah now gives her ribs a working over as she presses forward. Kristen rallies and strikes back at Sarah’s ribs, The two shift to working each other with breast shots and then back down to a series of belly hook exchanges. Sarah able to get a little more into her stomach hooks and Kristen is slowly giving ground at the bell. The two stand there looking at each other with fiery eyes until referee decides to step in and direct them to their corners. Judges give the round to Sarah, but it’s a close one.

R7: Kristen and Sarah plunge into each other in close as soon as the bell rings and they can get into range. Intense action as they are practically bumping sweaty brows as they bring short, but powerful punches into one another’s straining torsos. Grinding action all in a small portion of center ring and crowd is loving the struggle for control. Mouths grimacing into snarls of effort as Kristen and Sarah throw all they have into the leather inferno. Slowly, slowly, but noticeable, Kristen Stewart is driving Sarah Carter back and a savage smile can now be seen on her face as she senses Sarah giving way to her punches. Sarah trying to fight back, but can’t regain lost ground and she is still in a slow retreat before the tenacious advance of Kristen as the bell sounds. Sarah and Kristen both dripping sweat and breathing hard, but Sarah turns away quickly from Kristen whose smile of triumph is clear. Judges call it another close round, but this time is goes to Kristen Stewart.

R8: Kristen looking eager s she sits on her stool and is tended by Neve Campbell and the FS corner crew. Sarah is slumped wearily on her stool as the Foxfire corner crew works on her and trainer Virginia Madsen seems to be trying to encourage her fighter. Sarah rises and tries to pull herself together before advancing to meet Kristen. Kristen takes a good look at Sarah and makes a lunging attack to the right. Sarah instinctively moves to the right, but Kristen quickly reveals this as a feint as she clouts a left hook to Sarah’s head snapped around and now Kris brings the right cross crashing in to the chin as it comes back around. Sarah goes crashing down on her side! Kristen walks calmly, but briskly to the neutral corner. Sarah struggling to rise as the referee counts. Sarah makes it up at “EIGHT!” She insists to the referee that she is fine and the official waves Kristen back in. Kristen goes for Sarah’s stomach just above the waistband of her trunks. Sarah doubling up stumbling backwards. Kristen smoothly drives Sarah into the ropes. Sarah desperately trying to escape by sliding along the strands and get some counters in to push Kristen back. Kristen brushing aside these weak jabs and now starts swatting Sarah’s head around in an alarming fashion. Repeated uppercuts turning Sarah into a bobble-head doll as ringsiders scream at the ref to stop the carnage! AND THE REF JUMPS IN! Officials gets between Kristen and the cradles Sarah to safety in his arms.

THE WINNER AND STILL FCBA FLYWEIGHT CHAMPION KRISTEN STEWART DEFEATS SARAH CARTER TKO8.

After: Kristen Stewart warmly congratulated by her Front Street stablemates and cheered by the fans in the crowd. However, Kris has something else on her mind. As soon as the gloves are removed, she grabs a cordless mike from a hapless reporter and charges across the ring. Sarah Carter is on her stool being checked over by Foxfire medical staff. Kristen impatiently waiting for the OK to be given and then she thrusts the mike into Sarah’s face.

“I want you to tell everyone that I am a True Champion and I proved it to you tonight!” Kristen commands.

Sarah makes a sour face, but then wearily shrugs and says: “Yeah, Kristen Stewart has proven to me that she deserves to be Flyweight Champion. That good enough for you?”

“I ought to march you around the ring and make you shout that out at every corner—but seeing the look of defeat on your smashed up face is good enough for me,” Kristen says with a malicious grin.

“Good, because that’s all your getting,” Sarah snaps.

“It’ll do,” Kristen says and departs for her own corner.

“Get me out of here,” Sarah then tells Virginia Madsen, “I’ve seen all I want of that bytch for one night!”
Exciting back and forth title fight gave FCBA flyweight plenty to cheer about. Sarah Carter gave defending champ Kristen Stewart a lot of trouble, but Kristen shook off the beating and fought back until she had forced Sarah into a stoppage. Impressive effort by Kris that should silence any remaining doubters and give future opponents more than a few things to think about. Might have been Sarah Carter’s last hurrah in a title fight, but she did show she’s still a dangerous opponent and one not to be taken lightly in future fights
