Intro:
The opening bout tonight in the AT&T Stadium sees a battle of a former champion against a possible future champion, Ashley Tisdale fights Camren Bicondova tonight.

Ashley is 33 years old; she stands 5'3, holding a record of 19 wins, 15 by way of knockout, with 25 defeats, she is a former FCBA flyweight champion.

Camren is 19 years old; she stands 5'2, holding an unbeaten record of 2 wins, both by way of knockout, she is the 2019 winner of the flyweight New Blood tournament.

The two made videos on their social media in the build up, Ashley showed that she was training with her old stable Lookout! Boxing, Vanessa Hudgens sparring with her.

She told Camren through one of her videos "I hear you are supposed to be the next one to look out for, well here's some advice for you, pick someone else then me because I am not going to be some stepping stone for you"

Flexing her arm as she continues "I'm a former champion for a reason, you'll see what that level looks like when I put you lights out"

Camren meanwhile posted videos of her in the gym working with Reese Witherspoon on her technique, sparring with the Hollywood star to get ready.

Her message in reply to Ashley was "look Ashley my management team suggested you because you are a former champion, but one that hasn't exactly lit the world on fire these past few years"

She continues "I'm learning from the best and I guess you'll get to see how far I've come since I won the New Blood tournament" smiling as she heads off to train more.

Fight night; out comes Ashley first with her coach beside her, she bounces on her toes at the top of the aisle, looking confident as she begins her ring walk properly.

She is wearing a yellow sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, while her blonde hair is tied back into a ponytail.

Getting into the ring; Ashley raises both her fists in the air as she jogs over to her corner, ready to go it seems as she waves Camren to come out.

The youngster comes down to the ring now, Reese is with Camren as her coach as the two are smiling as they jog down the aisle.

She is wearing a black sports bra, matching trunks, shoes and gloves, while her brunette hair is it's usual curly self.

Stepping into the ring; Camren quickly mounts the ropes in her corner to blow kisses to the crowd, smiling as they cheer before she hops down to begin warming up.

The fighters square up at the center of the ring after they are waved their by the referee, eyes locked as they intensely stare.

They bump gloves respectfully when asked to, then return to their corners for final instructions from their coaches, once ready the referee signals for the bell to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:
The fighters have similar stances early on as they move up on their toes, probing punches are coming from them with Ashley looking slightly the more aggressive in her movement.

Using a feint to see what Camren will do, Ashley throws a straight into the top of the younger fighters head as she moves inside to work.

The fighters slug it out in close with punches slamming into the others sides or even shoulders as it is scruffy from them.

Ashley surprises Camren by stepping back first to open the space to land a clean right on the face of her opponent, followed by a left to the side of the head.

It looks like Ashley is trying to keep Camren off her game as she keeps switching up her attacks, making the brunette cover up as she tries to work out what's happening.

The round ends with Ashley looking great, a big smile on her face as she sits down on her stool staring over at Camren.

Round 2:
As they come out to fight; Ashley looks to be the one dictating the tempo, switching up from working on the inside to fighting on the outside.

Camren looks befuddled by what's in front of her, her lack of experience is showing as she tries to work out how to tackle her opponent as she just lands mostly glancing shots.

A right lands on Camren's nose to open her up to a jab/right cross across her face as Ashley begins to back her up towards the ropes.

The Gotham star is pinned behind her guard on the ropes as Ashley throws a flurry up top before switching to the body when she isn't having success up top, making Camren clinch up with her.

After they are pulled apart; Ashley sticks behind her jab for a bit, stalking her opponent around the ring as she looks to keep the pressure on.

The round ends with Camren's coach needing to give her a talking to, telling her to not let Ashley do what she wants, not what her opponent wants to do.

Round 3:
As the action kicks off again; there is definitely more aggression from Camren as she looks to take the fight back to her opponent.

They end up head to head trading; Ashley looks to step back like the first round, Camren is wise to it as she lands a right of her opponent's face.

Camren now is starting to open up on Ashley, letting her frustration out on the blonde as she steps after her with her punches mostly landing on the gloves of the veteran.

They nearly bump heads when the both go for a right, planting their feet more which seems to suit Ashley more as she starts to back up Camren.

Who needs to use her dancing experience to slip a straight and dance her way into space, getting a nod from Ashley before they resume fighting around the ring.

As the bell rings Camren gives a smile over to her coach, who reminds her to keep her focus fully on the fight as Ashley doesn't look too worried yet on her stool.

Round 4:
Camren looks to be getting for grips with the fight now, trading more evenly with Ashley as they move around the ring to fight.

The blonde does manage to land two straight shots to the face of Camren, she just misses with a right cross though as Camren weaves out the way before moving away.

Back comes Ashley though with her jab, this time Camren dips under it while drilling her right into the gut of the taller fighter, then follows with an uppercut to push Ashley back onto her heels.

Around the outside of the ring Tisdale is being herded by Camren, who shows she can be aggressive when needed as she used her left shoulder to bump the veteran onto the ropes.

Where they let their hands go as Ashley tries to battle off the ropes, Camren has the room though to dodge before countering, snapping back the head of Ashley.

The round ends with both women turning back to their corners knowing this is a real fight for both, Camren's corner looks more relaxed after a slow start, Ashley's is telling her she needs to grab the fight back under her control.

Round 5:
Things start off more evenly as they circle while gauging the range with their jabs, Camren's upper body movement seems to be causing trouble for her opponent as she dodges more then she is being hit.

That forces Ashley to step inside more to make sure she can land more cleaner shots, they nearly bump heads again when Camren joins her in the pocket.

Nudging Camren with her shoulder, Ashley lands an overhand right punch to turn the youngsters head, giving her the chance to drive Carmen towards a corner.

Smartly though Camren holds onto Ashley, stopping herself being pinned as the referee has to break them apart so they can continue in space.

When they resume Camren is starting to annoy Ashley with her movement, making the older fighter come after her where she can work on the move.

The round ends with Ashley throwing up her arms, wanting Camren to fight her but it's Bicondova definitely starting to feel like she is getting control of the action.

Round 6:
Ashley is coming forwards more, looking to hunt down her opponent as Camren is using that impressive footwork to keep annoying her older opponent.

Throwing more punches to try find something, Ashley is missing too many punches for her coaches liking as she is reminded to pick her punches.

But after Ashley misses with a left cross; Camren lands an uppercut that gets a stumble from her opponent, TWO HOOKS FOLLOW RIGHT ON THE CHIN OF ASHLEY TO SEND HER ONTO THE CANVAS!

The Gotham star yells "yes!" As she pumps her right fist on the air as she heads to a neutral corner, 1...2...3...4.. Ashley has her eyes shut as she groans, 5...6...7.. Camren looks ready to strike if needed, 8...9...10 but doesn't as Ashley is counted out!

Winner Camren Bicondova KO Round 6

After:
This wasn't an easy test for Camren but one she has passed as she turns to mount the bottom ropes of the corner as she raises her fists in the air.

Ashley on the other hand needs smelling salts to bring her around, she looks upset as she sits up on looking at the canvas, wondering where it has went wrong for her in her career.

While Camren gets praised off her coach as she returns to her corner, she admits that wasn't easy by any stretch as her coach nods along.

Standing up finally; Ashley is helped over to her stool so she can be cleaned up, her coach consoles her as she asks why she can't seem to win.

When they are ready the two women come to the center of the ring, with Camren getting her hand raised while she is beaming after this good win for her career.

Ashley just looks plain glum as she heads off out the ring, head down as she stares at the floor of the aisle while going to her locker room, lacking any confidence in her abilities.

Inside the ring is a different story; Camren is mounting each corner of the ring to blow kisses to the crowd, excited for her future as she ends up leaving the ring talking to her coach about who she could fight next already.
