{{{ OOC: This is a result I got from Lookout! many moons ago but just never found time to post it due to various circumstances }}}.
Hope Solo vs Lindsey Vonn Soccer vs Alpine Skiing Hometown: Richland, Washington vs St. Paul, Minnesota 5'9", 152 lbs vs 5'10", 160 lbs Results: Lookout!; Story: Vassago
BEFORE: "Disgraced? I'm anything but disgraced! I told it like it was... or still is!", Hope Solo refutes claims about reasons behind her unceremonious axe from US Soccer team following the Rio Olympic Games. The powerful soccer icon both on and off the pitch returns to FCBA having last seen this kind of action when she outmuscled Amanda Righetti in a gruesome wrestling match at the height of her powers in 2012. Can she still deliver the goods seven years later? Versus one of the most athletic women in US pro sports?
Lindsey Vonn has been through her share of injuries over the past few years which contributed to her recent retirement from the slopes but at age 34 she still remains the gold standard of pure athleticism. Tonight's Madison Square Garden setting suits her profile in more ways than one as she hopes to follow up on a rare boxing triumph over Maria Sharapova from 2011 to build upon her marketing status that requires no subtitles to begin with.
Hope Solo wears a blue sports bra, white panties and red gloves. Dark brown hair tied in a custom ponytail. Lindsey Vonn wears a black sports bra with white trim, matching hotpants and blue gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a braid. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the middleweight division.
Round 1: Hope's no-nonsense attitude prevails in the cagey opening round as she lets her gloves do the early talking but even though she racks up several single punches on target, Lindsey's high guard remains in tact and allows the blonde to withstand the initial barrage. One shouldn't expect a a battle of the artists here with raw power being the name of the game yet Hope's aggressive approach enables her to dish out more hits with Vonn working the counter-punching response from behind the guard. She almost looks too scared to jump into a proper leather assault which only fuels the intensity of the brunette's attacks. However Hope struggles to connect with anything other than a single punch down the line and doesn't take full advantage of the skier's laid-back stance.
Round 2: Lindsey remains stcuk behind a tight earmuff guard and lets Hope bounce off it in a half-hearted opening tangle which begins to raise some questions regarding the skier's tactics outright. She could be setting a trap for the soccer menace to whack her with a proper middleweight haymaker but it's a slow-burning affair if true since Solo keeps dominating the action with her single punch drives. Vonn finally unloads a counter-punching response when she gets cut off from the center of the ring but the brunette only laughs at it and delivers a head-hunting reply that has the blonde showing some wheels in retreat. Hope leaps after her but just grazes off the of the forehead and eats a stunning hook on the jaw instead that makes the MSG audience collectively groan in anticipation. Guess what, the bell is next!
Round 3: Vonn delivered literally one power punch in the previous round but that still left an impression on the brunette who suddenly gets swamped in a back & forth affair in the center of the ring. Lindsey becomes visibly more aggressive as she trades punches with the soccer star who gets vocal as she tries to smack more head shots through the middle. However Vonn weaves around on her feet much better given her lenghty knee injuries history and drops another piledriver on the jaw that sets the brunette back. Hope tries to push off her heels but then gets busted on the lips again and Lindsey barks in her efforts to pound her onto the ropes alas she gets wrapped in a desperate clinch as Hope neutralizes her right arm and almost spins her against the turnbuckle WWE-style. A booming right hook misses the blonde's head just before the bell and both athletes square up in eye-to-eye fashion soon afterwards when the ref forces them apart.
Round 4: Lindsey catches the brunette off guard with a harpoon on the liver area and beats her for a quick hook on the chin which triggers a lenghty single-punch exchange in the center of the ring. Hope begins to lose her temper as she overcooks her approach and eats one nasty hook to the body after another which eventually shuts her down come the half-way mark. Meanwhile Vonn settles down into piercing that midsection outright and bullies the soccer babe onto the ropes where she leans on her with more drilling action. She makes Solo wince in pain but fails to escape a lenghty clinch that stalls the fireworks right down in the final minute.
Round 5: Hope channels the head-hunting wrath as both women maintain the slow-burning tempo with occassional big hit that still leaves the Garden crowd puzzled over the final outcome. One punch can literally end it alas Hope requires a better efficiency if she wants to follow through with her aggressive ideas. She bounces off the top of Vonn's head as well as shoulders and fails to bump her in jug-to-jug contact when both athletes tangle up in a phone booth battle of the will... make it a test of strenght as Lindsey squeals in her efforts to break free while Hope begins to drag her by the right arm again which earns her a lecture from the ref. They get separated which allows Vonn to use her right hook to control Solo in mid-range and the former US Soccer stalwart looks a little gassed when she refuses to engage in further action thereafter.
Round 6: Lindsey tries mount immediate pressure from the front but Hope ducks underneath the initial attacks and clobbers the alpine skier just below the boobs to suck the air out of her aggressive ideas. In fact Vonn gets stuck on her heels and eats a couple of big hooks on the chin while Hope seeks the one-punch destruction only to bounce off the resistance wall as the Minnesota native withstands the impact. However Lindsey still wobbles onto the ropes and gets sucked into a proper body assault with Solo now getting vocal as she keeps hauling in the wicked harpoons. Ugh! One can't really expect anyone to destroy an alpine skiing legend with a mere body attack and Vonn aches it out but grinds herself back into contention when she blasts the brunette on the chin to push her away come the final minute. She adds a couple of extra hits on each temple but it's probably not enough to steal the round even though Hope appears to be more upset of the two at the bell.
Round 7: Vonn answers back with a body assault of her own and the initial burst drains the energy out of the soccer babe who quickly begins to yield real estate somewhat against the odds. Lindsey rips a double strike around the liver area and Hope clinches her outright but she appears to be losing strenght with every quick hit piercing her ribcage anyway. Vonn spins her back against the turnbuckle and gets vocal as she delivers more damage on target while Solo slumps into her loudest spasms of the night yet! She tries to nick a proper haymaker from the inside but fails to stretch her elbows and gets trapped in the corner with Lindsey knocking more bruises into her midsection. Ugh! Hope tails off wholesale come the final stretch and cries out when Vonn whacks her on the solar plexus moments before the bell and suddenly she's on life support according to most of the fans inside the arena!
Round 8: Hope can't find her energy back and gets sucked into a ribcage assault that bends her sideways as Lindsey powers ahead with methodical strikes; she almost takes her time too much now but Solo is unable to stall her progress whatsoever and trips back onto the ropes where she misses with a desperate haymaker from her heels. She tries to deliver another one but that's too risky of an idea for Vonn not to cash in with the response. Hope's left arm has dropped so low here that the blonde can finally smash that right hook into the exposed jaw to LIFT THE BRUNETTE OFF HER FEET on the spot... Middleweight train comin' through!!! Hope cries out and gets whipped over the top of the ropes upon impact and Lindsey freezes to watch the effects of that impact... Uh-oh!!! Hope heads south and collapses on her knees before rolling face-down at the blonde's feet!!! And there's no way back for her anymore! KO8 Lindsey Vonn!!!
AFTER: "Can't dispute raw talent like ME!!" Lindsey laughs out into the cameras following a brief inspection of her otherwise pretty face that's been largely unscathed in tonight's back & forth affair: "Well, Hope talks a lot but her time has truly passed! I must admit, I got some inside information on her from Alex Morgan whom I met at the recent Sports Illustrated shooting and well, that won't affect any rankings here but I just knew I could survive her punch. She's a bully but even those bullies are gonna fall if you know how to do it! And I'm still in top shape while she's been way off hers ever since they kicked her out of US Soccer! Just bad timing, gurl! Back in 2012 she could have kicked my ass but 2019 is a whole different story! Stay tuned for more!!!" (winks).
Official Result: Lindsey Vonn def. Hope Solo KO8.
