TESS VALMORE
Jessica Clements opened the card with a fifth round knockout of Chase Carter. Clement’s knockout win was nothing unusual when these days virtually every bout ends with a knockout. I doubt that Clements win is going to energize her career, but think that Chase’s loss will probably end hers.
Ratajkowski won her bout by a KO (What else?) Even the promoter admitted that this was a gimme. You really can’t be too enthusiastic when you fighter wins a bout like this.
The Fox/Deutch bout was another gimme, but this was a fan requested fight so you really can’t blame VIX for accepting the fight. You have to wonder what in the world the Wannabees Stable was thinking in taking the bout. The stable name seems to prophesize Deutch”s future. A wannabee.
Beckinsale surprised us with her win which broke a five fight losing streak. This bout tells us more about Munn than it does Beckinsale. This was Munn’s ninth straight loss and her eighth straight conventional fight loss. Most of her previous losses to were to good fighters. Now, she loses to a 45 year old who is clearly past her prime. I have to disagree with my mentor (the Wiz) Lack of management had nothing to do with Munn’s losing streak as she lost management because of her losing streak. Soon to be 39, she is clearly not the fighter she was in 2013-14. In fact she hasn’t had a winning year since then. The best thing she can do is hang the gloves up.
