Intro:
Ronda Rousey returns to where she made her FCBA debut, this time she faces her former stablemate Iggy Azalea in Las Vegas's MGM Grand.

Ronda is 32 years old; she stands 5'6, she holds a record of 3 wins, all by way of knockout, with 1 defeat.

Iggy is 29 years old; she stands 5'10, she holds a record of 7 wins, all by way of knockout, with 6 defeats.

Both women were interviewed in their training camps, with Ronda sitting looking a little sweaty still from training, her hands still wrapped from sparring.

"Iggy is a sweet girl I'll admit, we used to sit and chat after training was over so I hold no ill will towards her" Ronda tells the camera as talks about their relationship in the stable.

"But as you have seen with me in anything I do, I take no prisoners no matter who they are, so I won't let my friendliness with her stop me from doing the job, she is going down so I can return to my march to the title" continues Ronda as she stares right through the camera, as if staring at Iggy herself.

While Iggy sits on the ring apron at her gym, smiling as the camera crew come to talk to her, with her waving them over.

"Hey guys, so me and Ronda are gonna throw down in Vegas, I'll admit I didn't see this ever happening but we both need wins, so I am happy to get it on with her and see how things stand with us at the final bell" says Iggy as she relaxes against the ropes behind her.

"I respect Ronda I really do but I feel that physically she can't match up, I am bigger then her and in boxing terms I am more experienced, if I catch her clean I only see her falling on the canvas finished" says Iggy as she looks more serious.

Fight night; Ronda is out first with her coach beside her, she raises her right fist to the fans as she stands at the top of the ramp, before beginning to march down the aisle.

She is wearing a black sports bra with an orange "Rowdy" badge across the front, red trunks with "Rousey" in black down the left side, black shoes, red gloves and her hair braided for combat.

After climbing into the ring; Ronda taps her fists on her legs as she psyches herself up, yelling "come on!" To a loud roar from her fans.

Iggy now comes out with her coach behind her, she is heading straight down the aisle with her eyes firmly on the ring, all business tonight.

She is wearing a green sports bra with gold trim, matching trunks and shoes, gold gloves, while her hair has been tied back into a fighting ponytail.

Getting into the ring; Iggy gives the fans a quick wave before she begins stretching, her coach telling her to show no mercy tonight.

The referee brings the fighters together, neither showing any hint of friendship as they stare each other down.

They do respectfully touch gloves when told to, before returning to their corners for some final words of advice, then the bell rings to start 10 rounds of welterweight action.

Round 1:
It looks like Iggy wants to feel her way into this fight as she throws single punches at the head of the smaller fighter, while she circles Ronda at the center of the ring.

Problem is Ronda didn't look like she got that script as she slips a straight punch to move inside to work the body of Iggy with hooks.

That makes Iggy grunt till she gives Ronda a shove, her eyes full of fury as she lands two punches to the top of Rousey's head to knock her back a step.

When Iggy goes to land a left cross; Ronda dodges it by ducking down then counters with a straight to the body, followed by an overhand left across the chin of Azalea to push her back.

Ronda shows she isn't afraid to slug it out with Iggy as she moves in tight, causing the Aussie problems as she can't unleash her power onto Ronda at this range.

The round ends with Iggy criticising herself for the slow start, her coach reminding her not to think of Ronda as just some normal fighter.

Round 2:
This time Iggy comes out more aggressively, catching Ronda cold with a straight to the top of her head, followed by a left cross as the American has to give up some real estate now.

Iggy keeps on the front foot this time as Ronda covers up more, making herself compact as Iggy has her closer to the ropes then the last time.

Allowing the younger fighter to control the tempo of the fight, keeping Ronda mostly behind her guard as she throws punches towards her head.

The only problem is she becomes too one dimensional, which gives Ronda a chance to read a straight and she dodges it to come back to the inside.

More body work from the former UFC champion as Iggy groans out, till she is able to nudge Ronda back with her left, landing a right across her face.

With seconds left in the round Ronda forces Iggy to stand to trade with her, sweat flies off the fighters as they go toe to toe, till the bell rings to end the round with both nodding to each other.

Round 3:
It looks like Iggy has established her range now, still taking some body shots early but definitely is able to land more straights and jabs to the face of her opponent.

A right catches Ronda across the face as she tries to step in, opening her up to two more punches that knocks her head back.

Iggy starting to apply pressure once more to Rousey as she steps forwards, cutting off the ring with her movement then striking Ronda to the face to mark up her face.

Clinching up with Iggy; the referee steps in as Ronda now looks frustrated trying to work out how to get back inside the reach of her opponent.

Once apart Iggy looks to stab in a jab/straight combo, Ronda dodges them though then counters with a right to the ribs, followed by a left across the chin of Azalea.

Coming on strong late in the round, Ronda is able to work the body of Iggy till the bell rings, Ronda thuds her gloves together as she returns to her corner, still looking angry as she stays standing as her corner team works on her.

Round 4:
At the bell Ronda is trying harder to get in close, it leads to a fire fight between the two as Iggy tries to stop that from happening, leading to heads being turned.

Iggy manages to press Ronda back with two punches to her face, making the smaller fighter retreat as she moves to stay off the ropes, Iggy stalks her around the ring.

Till Ronda makes her move; ducking a right cross then landing an overhand left across the cheek of Iggy, followed up by an uppercut that knocks the Aussies head backwards.

Putting her head down; Ronda rips away to the body with hooks, making Iggy grimace as she needs to push the smaller fighter back.

But Ronda is a shark as she keeps at Iggy, digging her to the body as Iggy definitely doesn't look to be enjoying the attention there.

The round ends with Iggy looking at her with a look that says "how do I keep her off me?" Her coach reminds her as she sits down that she is the bigger woman, she needs to start acting like it.

Round 5:
Again they start off by planting their feet to trade, Iggy looks to be winning the exchange as she knocks back Ronda's head with straight shots.

Iggy moves in to throw a right hook; RONDA SIDESTEPS IT BEFORE LANDING A LEFT RIGHT INTO THE LIVER AREA, ANOTHER SHOT TO IT PUTS IGGY DOWN TO ALL FOURS!

Just jogging over to a neutral corner with no difference to her expression, Ronda is watching the count closely, 1...2...3...4.. Iggy can be heard wheezing as she spits out her gumshield, 5...6...7.. She is trying to catch her breath while fighting tears, 8...9...10 and is counted out on all fours!

Winner Ronda Rousey KO Round 5

After:
Ronda is back on the winning trail again but looks more focused on Iggy as she jogs over to her, kneeling down to check on her friend as Iggy sits back on her haunches.

Iggy nods as she tells Ronda "I'll be OK.. Just give me a moment" as Ronda nods before standing up to give Iggy room to breath, with their coaches coming over to help up Iggy so she can go to her corner.

Both fighters get cleaned up by their coaches, with Iggy relieved to be getting her breath back as she apologizes to her coach, who tells her she can prove it by winning her next fight.

They come to the center of the ring for the final announcement, Ronda beams as her hand is raised before exchanging a fist bump with Iggy as they jog about Azalea's body being too sore for a hug.

Iggy applauds Ronda and the crowd on the way out the ring, still holding her stomach as it is still sore but not looking too disheartened as she knows Ronda is definitely not an easy opponent to beat.

While in the ring Ronda mounts each corner to thank the crowd, smiling as she goes as this was a big win for her personally after the heartache of losing to Charlotte Flair in March.

Soon she steps out the ring slapping the hands of the fans on the way to the back, turning at the top of the aisle to point at the ring while shouting "that is my playground"
