5. Kelly Rohrbach vs Hope Dworaczyk (Lightweight)
Kelly: (28, 5’9, 125, 17:10 FCBA, VIXENs)
Hope: (34, 5’10, 0:2 FCBA, Free Agent)
BEFORE: “I'm in a good place now, so I don't plan on losing this one,” Kelly saying to reporters early, just in case they ask stupid questions like if she plans to lose. “Hope's a big girl, and she gave Hannah some trouble early in her career. It's a small wonder why or how she would have fared if she had been in her prime and of course, a stable had her back back then. But the truth is: she’s got none of these things, so yeah, I’m pretty confident about flooring her tonight,” Kelly ending her remarks with a smile.
“Oh, yak yak yak. Never took you for a blabberer, Rohrbach, and I’m surprised you think so highly of yourself. The bottom line is I'm bigger and can hit harder than you. I don't get as many opportunities like these to prove myself, so that’s exactly why I'm gonna make full use of it to beat your blonde ass down. That fight with Hannah? It was an all-out WAR by all accounts. This time, I'll be sure to rout your ass in five rounds or less.”
Girls not looking too happy after those comments when they meet at the center podium, almost coming to blows when their foreheads graze against each other and the girls start swatting at fists cocked at the chin or chests.
Later in the arena, Kelly is dressed in her favourite bright red Baywatch bikini one-piece, yellow gloves on either hand as she mirrors a life-saver's float. Only this leather's meant to hurt and drown whoever she comes into contact with. Hope Dworaczyk in all-black bra top, white short tights for maximum mobility and sporting a pair of purple gloves. Referee calls for the bell and HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!
ROUND 1: Hope shaking things up early, taking some painful swipes at Kelly’s face whenever the blonde attempts to get in close enough to jab at her. Just a mismatch of expectations from the get-go, with Rohrbach the one looking confused to the max whenever a hook from Hope lands stiffly on her cheek, the big brunette packing in the power before moving back out of range of Kelly’s counterattacks. Kelly’s jabs as a result hitting at the bare wind, off-target or glancing ineffectively against Hope’s shoulder or chest. Hope repeats this move at least three times before Kelly grows wiser, suddenly realises that she might have a real fight on her hands when she stays back at a distance, both her arms locked over her face. Round 1 ends with Hope still playing the aggressive card, scoring a couple more power swings into Rohrbach’s arms, but other than that, Kelly manages to stem the tide for now.
ROUND 2: Girls trade long jabs to the face in the very first minute, touching the other up on the cheek and chin, and repeatedly coming in to CLASH in a hail of flying arms and legs, but neither really gaining the advantage. This is what you get when you have two heavyweights squaring off, and neither one really having the power to sweep the other off their feet so early in the game. So, they both rely on cheap tactics like stinging the breasts with jabs, and inflicting pain by targeting the nostrils and lips. Hope growing more and more enraged when her jugs are exclusively flattened by Kelly’s quick combinations, suddenly lunges at the blonde with a left hand that catches her clean on the nose. Kelly bites back tears as her head is pushed back. She retreats, but is followed by a constant stream of punches that Hope thinks might end the fight there and then. But the bell rings soon after, and Dworaczyk is surely doing well for herself thus far, taking both these opening rounds comfortably and leaving Rohrbach behind to pick up the pieces.
ROUND 3: Kelly not used to getting bullied around the ring like this, especially with the kind of power she’s packing in her own swings. She rattles Hope early when the dark-haired girl tries to catch her off guard with another blatant charge, only to get ripped to the cheek with a right hook that was well-timed and executed. Hope sent reeling off to the side with an UGHH, fending off more jabs to the face as Kelly follows her every step of the way, looking for payback. Hope is dogged across the ring ropes and back, leather gloves snapping into the face then buried into her body whenever her guard is raised. Talk about a comeback performance from Rohrbach as she doesn’t play nice when she means business! Hope barely got any offense squeezed into these three minutes, is the one left panting hard on the ropes but still standing, luckily for her fans. Kelly scores the biggest round of the fight thus far!
ROUND 4: Dworaczyk perhaps hoping to go the distance with the blonde, just like how she did when she first faced Hannah Ferguson on the beach all those years ago. A more measured advance from Dworaczyk as she jabs and side-steps at the same time, playing the escalation game fair and square. Kelly, however, not having any of that comeback magic, taking jabs to her guard before she PLOWS a right cross into Dworaczyk’s face with an absolute rocker of a POWW as it echoes throughout the arena. Hope Dworaczyk certainly felt that one, as she swivels 180 degrees on her feet, before falling face-first to the ground with a THUDD! KNOCKDOWN for Kelly Rohrbach, who timed that counter-punch to perfection!
Referee fully prepared to let this fight continue another sixth rounds to its just conclusion, but Hope is the one spoiling his and everyone else’s plans (well, except for Kelly), choosing to remain flat on her back, eyes blinking up at the ceiling lights, even as the count passes her all the way up to 10! Referee calls for the bell and this fight is declared OVER!
Official Decision: Kelly Rohrbach defeats Hope Dworaczyk via KO4!
AFTER: Hell yeah, is what Kelly shouts to the audience, roaring and then shaking her fists in the air. She managed to put away a big girl in just four rounds, almost half of the time taken by Hannah Ferguson back in 2016! Could this be a sign of the new-and-improved Kelly Rohrbach hoping to disrupt the pecking order? Or another potential rematch between the two alpha blondes of the stable?
Miss Dworacyzk continues her slide into obscurity, once upon a time able to hold her own against the other big girls in the division, but now reduced to a stunned form lying on the ground, her reddened face getting checked over by medics. A big fight for both women, regardless, and we certainly hope that their careers only improve from here on out! |
