ZENDAYA COLEMAN VS. WALLIS DAY

(Words: Holloway / Results: Lookout!)

"Am I ready? Of course I'm ready. I haven't yet been beaten here in the league and I certainly won't let little Zendaya be the one to change that!" says Wallis, confident, as she walks into the ring with a black sports bra and matching shorts.

"So she hasn't been beaten? Well, she's fought in that "new blood" tournament and with a couple of old ladies. Of course she's undefeated! Anyone would be! But this is her first real match and I'll make sure to let her know that!" announces Zendaya as she enters the ring with a similar outfit to the one of her opponent.

ROUND 1:

The match starts with neither girl seeming too keen on getting involved that early in the fight. It's Zendaya, however, who throws the first punch but doesn't go through Day's defense. Coleman's the taller girl so she's trying to use her reach to her advantage, but Wallis won't let her. The "Krypton" star puts up her guard, blocking most of her foe's punches and countering with some of her own. Zendaya's as impressed as the crowd as Wallis surprises her with an uppercut to the chin that goes right through the former dancer's guard. Coleman is stunned, Day is taking advantage of it. Fists are all over Zendaya's toned body and only the bell can save her from a first round knockout.

ROUND 2:

The two young beauties approach each other as soon as the bell ring, Zendaya seems a bit worried, certainly being more careful this time around with her opponent. Wallis looks excited, trying to get a few punches in, but Coleman's doing a good job of covering up. The shorter girl gets pushed backwards by Zendaya, who's trying to get her back into her corner, but Day is not having any of it. She fights back, sending a three-punch combo to the younger actress' ribs. The rest of the round sees the young actresses struggle for the upperhand with neither really getting it. The round ultimately goes to Zendaya who managed to get a few good jabs towards the end.

ROUND 3:

Wallis and Zendaya go back at it again. Both women meet midring looking to make some damage, both proving their athleticism. Coleman's moving a lot more than on the previous rounds, clearly going for a different strategy. Day is following closely, throwing an occasional jab at the body of the former Disney star. Coleman stays at a good distance and uses her long reach to throw some jabs at Wallis' head. Suddenly, a left hook from Day manages to go under Coleman's defense and into her chin, throwing her off balance and allowing the "Krypton" actress to follow it up with a couple of crosses to the head and a three-punch combo to the abs. One last jab to the temple finally sends the taller actress to the canvas.

1... 2... 3...

Wallis celebrates as she raises her fists and smiles at the audience.

4... 5... 6...

Zendaya struggles to her feet. The round continues.

You can see how worried Zendaya is now. She's now realized she underestimated her opponent and tries to keep a certain distance as she catches her breath. Day takes it easy for the rest of the round, confident she'll finish Coleman on the next one.

ROUND 4:

Wallis just had a great round, she's hoping to repeat her success as she follows Zendaya, keeping up her guard and throwing a jab or two every once in a while. Zendaya does the same. She can't risk it. Day is looking for an opportunity to strike, but Coleman is not giving it to her. The shorter actress actually looks frustrated as Coleman plays defense. Not much happens in the rest of the round, but the "Spider-Man" actress wins on points anyway.

ROUND 5:

Wallis basically jumps out of her corner and into the ring, looking for that knockout, but Coleman's feet as fast and she's basically dancing around the ring, forcing Day to follow her. Coleman's athleticism is finally coming into play as she sees her opponent relatively more tired. A couple of jabs are sent Day's way every few seconds and eventually it gets hard for her to keep up with them. Wallis' defense isn't what it was back in the first round. Zendaya throws a hook that goes right under it and hits Wallis in the chin, then follows it up with a cross to the stomach that stuns Wallis long enough for the dancer to finish her off with another punch to the chin. Wallis is down!

1... 2... 3...

Zendaya dances around the fallen girl, mocking her as she shadow boxes.

4... 5... 6...

Wallis looks out of breath and is just now starting to get back up.

7... 8... 9...

It's getting hard for Day to get up, her arms are failing her.

10. It's over!

Official Decision: Zendaya Coleman beats Wallis Day KO5!

"See? I told you. A real boxer can stop a wannabe like her any day" says Zendaya about the match.
