Miranda Kerr vs. Emily DiDonato
Miranda Kerr: 36 years old, 5’9,” 30-8 combined with 28 KO since 2011, Downunder Boxing
Emily DiDonato: 28 years old, 5’10,” 10-4 with 9 KO since 2017, Fates Boxing
Before:
Tonight’s beach battle in Hawaii features two elite brunette models, with Kerr being ranked 12th by Boxing World and DiDonato coming in at 15th. The Australian Kerr has been with Downunder for her entire career, now in its ninth year. Kerr has amassed an impressive array of victories, including the BBU lightweight title and Queen of the Ice Hotel. Meanwhile, the American DiDonato didn’t find any traction until her fight against Hannah Davis in August of last year, after which she was added to the inaugural fighter list of Fates Boxing. Since last August, she has gone a red-hot 10-1, losing only to Alessandra Ambrosio the month before the Brazilian became lightweight champion.
Tonight, these two beauties meet after a slight reschedule, as Emily was challenged by Kate Upton to a JMDD title match, forcing her bout with Kerr to be moved.
Miranda is the first to speak at the press conference, “I have a lot of respect for Emily and what she has done over the past year. Going 10-1 is not an easy feat. But I am an elite boxer, and I am going to prove that I am still relevant tonight by knocking DiDo out.”
Emily retorts, “Unfortunately, Miranda does not understand the fact that her time is up. It’s time for a new generation of women to usurp the top slots in the FCBA. I’m doing that to Kerr tonight, and as the Goshen Goddess, I’m going to come into the August PPV and do it to Upton and walk out with the JMDD title less than a year into my time with Fates.”
Miranda Kerr is the first to emerge for the fight, and the former Victoria’s Secret model has donned a pink floral bikini set with matching pink gloves, her hair tied up in a ponytail for the event. Next, Emily DiDonato comes out to the ring and opted for a red thong bikini that bares her rack to the world, clearly taking aim at her upcoming JMDD opponent and fellow Sports Illustrated model Kate Upton. The American has her hair up in a ponytail. The two women meet in the center of the ring and touch gloves after the ref talks to the two, then he calls for the bell.
Round 1:
DiDonato starts out the round by jabbing at Kerr, trying to use her longer reach to get the Australian. Miranda ducks, dodges, and weaves out of the way of the American’s punches and clocks Emily in the mouth with a right. DiDonato is stunned from how hard the smaller and older model hits and promptly takes a left cross from the Aussie. Emily gets her guard up as Miranda starts to pound away at Emily, smartly driving rights and lefts into the bigger model’s ribs and body. Kerr is driving the younger woman into the ropes despite DiDonato’s best efforts, landing a few counterpunches on Kerr but never enough to gain any traction. Miranda corrals Emily into the ropes and the American has no choice but to eventually clinch as Miranda is pounding away on Emily. The referee separates the two women and when the action resumes, DiDonato keeps her distance and forces Kerr to be the aggressor. Miranda closes distance repeatedly and lands a solid straight right into Emily’s kisser, but Emily gets Kerr back with a couple shots to the ribs. The bell rings and the two fighters go back to their respective corners, with Miranda smiling as she takes the opening round on points, wide.
Round 2:
The second round begins with the two women circling, the sand squishing underneath their feet as they size each other up. Kerr opens up by ducking in and driving a left into Emily’s jugs and then swinging a right for Em’s face, but DiDo bobs out of the way and hammers a cross into the Australian’s jaw. Miranda backs off and Emily pursues her around the ring until Kerr sets her feet and drives a straight at DiDonato…but it misses the American and Emily punches Miranda in the ribs and then picks a clean left shot that gets Miranda in the nose, and now it’s the Aussie’s turn to be stunned and on her back foot. Emily is kicking up sand as she goes after her opponent feinting hard with her right and then driving a left into Miranda’s ribs, pushing her opponent the final few inches back into the ropes. DiDo makes good contact with her punches on Kerr’s body, but Miranda smartly counterpunches and gets Emily in the mouth, forcing the Sports Illustrated model to back off. The final half minute of the round is spent with Miranda trying to stay away from Emily, but DiDonato is able to leverage her extra reach to get off several quick jabs that pepper Kerr’s guard and body as the round expires. We are all tied up as Emily takes the round, wide.
Round 3:
The two brunette models start the third round like bulls out of a china shop, each woman charging straight for her opponent. The two meet in the center of the ring in a flurry of punches and a couple groans as both women are able to connect with some punches. DiDo pulls her right arm back and uncorks a massive right but Kerr dodges and nails a right chop into Emily’s cleavage, bouncing her cleavage in her tight bikini top and then slamming a left into DiDonato’s cheek. Emily bewildered as she tries to get her guard up and Miranda plugs away at the American’s body, pounding Emily’s tummy. DiDonato breathing hard as the air is forced out of her lungs and her guard starts to open a bit. Miranda Kerr notices and throws a left that catches Emily in the jaw and DiDo’s guard comes undone AND MIRANDA DRIVES HOME A RIGHT UPPERCUT THAT DROPS EMILY ON HER FACE! The American SI model falls on her face and grunts as she hits the sand as Miranda prances to the corner. The ref begins counting. One. Two. Three. Emily moves her arms underneath her. Four. Five. DiDonato looks up at the ref, a blank look in her eyes. Six. Seven. Emily is up on one knee, but she wobbles and has to use her arms for balance. Miranda is watching with bated breath as she hopes she finished off the American. Eight. DiDonato still on one knee, clearly hurting. Nine. AND EMILY PUSHES HERSELF UP JUST BEFORE THE REF REACHES TEN! The referee moves in to check on a battered DiDonato, but the American simply pushes the ref away and the match resumes. Miranda closes distance, striking shorts at Emily, but the bigger brunette is able to preempt most of Kerr’s offense with strong jabs and the American backpedals over sand. Miranda batters Emily with more offense and the American is forced to clinch as the bell rings. Miranda saunters over to her corner after having won the round, wide, while Emily grimaces as she goes over to the Fates corner.
Round 4:
Kerr is in control of the match, and goes to the body of her larger opponent. DiDonato tries to keep herself at a reasonable distance, but Miranda closes distance, kicking up sand in the process, thumps Emily’s tummy and bangs on her breasts, and Em is getting dominated by Miranda here as she tries to keep her guard up. Fates is screaming at Emily to watch out as Miranda plants her right foot and punches a right straight into Emily’s nose, drawing a small amount of blood. DiDonato temporarily stunned and before she knows it, Kerr is teeing off on her, throwing hooks left, right, and center, trying to get Emily to faceplant in the sand and hand her her second loss with Fates, right before facing the self-proclaimed JMDD queen in Kate Upton. Miranda herds Emily into the ropes again and returns to the Sports Illustrated model’s voluptuous body, pounding at whatever she can before Emily drives a well-placed right into Kerr’s mouth. The Aussie comes back with a left into the American’s ribs, but DiDo crashes a left into Miranda’s tummy and the taller model escapes the ropes as the bell rings. Miranda clearly takes the round, and one has to wonder if Emily is up to snuff tonight as she has been absolutely worked by Miranda for three of the first four rounds tonight.
Round 5:
Emily gets a pep-talk from Fates while she gets the blood wiped off her upper lip and nose in her corner and comes out looking to get some offense in. Miranda has other ideas as she peppers Emily’s breasts and ribs with punches, but Emily plants her feet and starts firing back, driving lefts and rights into Kerr’s own ribs and breasts with more power than the Aussie can match. DiDonato moving quickly now, bobbing left and right to avoid whatever Kerr throws her way and starting pounding Kerr’s tummy and the Aussie starts bending over slightly. Miranda is a seasoned veteran though, and raps a quick one-two across DiDo’s boobs that stalls her advance, giving Kerr enough time to drop back and get a breath, even if just for a quick moment. Emily resumes her relentless hunt for Kerr by feinting hard with her left, getting Miranda to bite, and then connecting with an absolute rocket of a right into Kerr’s nose that wobbles the Aussie into Emily’s arms. Kerr attempts to clinch and DiDonato gets off a handful of punches to Miranda’s body before the Aussie successfully does so and the bell rings before the referee can break the two women apart. Kerr and DiDonato start jawing at each other and the referee eventually manages to separate the two bombshells with great difficulty, sending them to their corners after Emily picks up the round.
Round 6:
DiDonato smells blood in the water after wobbling Kerr the previous round and charges at the older model. Miranda tries to get away from Emily but her legs aren’t quite quick enough as Emily ploughs leather right into Kerr’s ribs before going back to her belly. Miranda keeps her guard up as she tries to counterpunch Emily, but the American is just too quick for Kerr to nail with a punch. DiDonato slips in a right to Kerr’s solar plexus and the Aussie audibly moans as she staggers forwards towards Emily who rifles a left into Kerr’s jaw and swiveling Kerr’s head as she tries to stay on her feet and keep her guard up. DiDo unloads lefts and rights into Kerr’s body and the Aussie’s guard splits and Emily notices the opening. DiDonato crashes a left hook into Miranda’s cheek and then connects with an uppercut that snaps Miranda’s head back, lifts her off her feet, and drops her on the sand belly-up! Emily prances to a neutral corner as the referee starts counting, but it looks like it might be a formality. One. Two. Three. Kerr’s arms are barely moving. Four. Five. Six. Miranda moves her head slightly to the left. Seven. Eight. Miranda tries to move her arms around but she can barely lift them a few inches off the ground. Nine. Ten. It’s over and your winner by KO6, the Goshen Goddess, Emily DiDonato!
After:
Medics rush over to Miranda who is still having trouble moving after the match as Emily raises her arms in triumph, making sure to jump up and down a bit to show off her assets in her bikini.
“Hey, Kate Upton,” Emily yells, then points to Miranda Kerr, “that’s going to be you on August 30, and you’ll be getting these,” DiDonato pounds her jugs before prancing around the ring, showing off her long legs and toned figure in her red bikini before going over to Miranda, who has managed to sit up.
Emily reaches down and the two women bump fists. Kerr is blinking rapidly and has a blank stare on her face. Kerr struggles up with the help of the medics and embraces DiDonato before exiting the ring, still accompanied by the medics. Emily stays in the ring, waving to the applauding crowd for another minute before leaving the ring. |
