Maisie Williams versus Kristin Kreuk

Intro:

Another step up in competition for Maisie Williams as she looks to get into title contention, veteran Kristen Kreuk is the woman across the ring from her in this beach boxing fight.

Maisie is 22 years old; she stands 5'1, holding a record of 14 wins, all coming by way of knockout, with 7 defeats.

Kristen is 36 years old; she stands 5'3, holding a record of 48 wins, 33 coming by way of knockout, 52 defeats with 2 draws, she is a former three time FCBA flyweight champion.

Both women were asked for comments by the FCBA TV network in the build up to the fight, Maisie spoke to the journalists outside the locker room of the Girls Friday gym.

She is smiling as she says "I am loving this year, I'll be honest I was frustrated by the lack of action I had, but as I look back I understand they didn't want to throw me under a bus with too many fights, now I'm full of confidence and have the skills to go with them"

Asked about her opponent; Maisie replies "Kristen is a legend in that ring, while her acting career was one note, in the ring she has proven she can be the best"

Her smile grows bigger though as she adds "but let's be frank! That was the old Kristen; now she simply is old, I'll be too fast for her to do anything to on that beach"

While Kristen went onto the set of the FCBA network, talking about her enjoyment of fighting still, feeling she is in the greatest stable of the FCBA's history.

When asked about Maisie; Kristen smirks as she answers "I have seen her grow in the ring with each fight, but I don't see anything special to be honest"

Leaning forwards she adds "the kid might win a few big fights, this won't be one of them though, I am going to show her that I am nobodies stepping stone to success"

Fighting time; they are fighting on the Gold Coast in Australia, with bleachers surrounding the ring and the ring posts set directly into the beach itself.

First onto the beach is Maisie; she has Melanie Sykes with her as she is wearing a red bikini and matching gloves, her hair is tied into a braid.

Stepping into the ring; Maisie bows to each side of the ring, then jogs over to her corner where she begins warming up, Melanie telling her to do her best and she will win.

Out comes Kristen now with Mila Kunis; she is wearing a black bikini with white gloves, her hair is tied back into a ponytail as she looks in the mood to get it on.

Climbing into the ring Kristen raises her fists in the air in her corner, then goes through a punching drill as Mila tells her that this is her beach.

As both women jog to the center of the ring, neither looks worried about the other as they look up and down each other, Kristen thudding her gloves together as the referee speaks.

When told to touch gloves; they hammer them together, then return back to their corners, ready to start 10 rounds of flyweight action.

Round 1:

When the bell rings it looks like Maisie has been told to put Kristen under pressure early, the youngster slipping inside to work the body before she comes back out when clipped to the face.

The Game of Thrones star is keeping dodging before moving in close to throw several punches at a time, making Kristen look a little wary as she covers up more tightly.

Maisie controlling the action as she dips inside to work; mostly targeting the body, as Kristen can for the most part only land one or two clean punches at a time.

As the round heads to a close; Kristen starts to put her punches together more, catching Maisie coming inside with two punches straight to her face to keep her back.

With Kristen stepping forwards to force Maisie into a firefight as seconds tick away in the round, the crowd roars as it watches both women go at it hammer and tongs to the bell.

Where they turn back to their corners; Maisie getting told off Melanie "good job babe, you gave her a taste of what you can do" Maisie nodding as she is up early ready to get going again.

Round 2:

The speed of Maisie looks an issue for Kristen; the youngster is able to keep moving inside quickly on her toes to throw in two or three punches at a time, before the American to really land anything clean back.

With Williams dipping under a straight to rifle in two body shots, making Kristen groan as she finds herself being pressed to the outside of the ring.

Shoving Maisie back off her; Kristen manages to catch the overly keen younger fighter coming inside with a right to her face, with Kreuk getting off the ropes into space.

As the round gets into the final minute; Kristen comes back at Maisie with a double jab to the face of the Brit, sidestepping an attempted right cross, then landing another jab followed by a straight to knock her opponent backwards.

The bell rings with Kristen thudding her gloves together in frustration, Mila telling her to calm down and be patient with her attacks, Maisie will make a mistake and she will be there to cash in.

Round 3:

This time around it seems like Kristen is happy to box off the back foot, exchanging more jabs with Maisie, who is trying to close down the veteran.

Deflecting a straight to her face; Kristen counters with a right to the body, then a left across her opponent's face, giving her an opening to knock back Williams.

Who looks less comfortable fighting off the back foot herself, Kreuk starts off head hunting before switching to the body after using her forearm to shove Maisie into the ropes.

Both women let their hands go as Maisie tries to fight her way off the ropes; Kristen has the better position to load up her punches, which she does to knock back the head of the Girls Friday fighter.

Who needs to shove Kristen to get off the ropes; all the pressure though is coming from the veteran as she knows she has to keep on top of the situation.

Happily trading with Maisie; before using her left to shove the smaller fighter back, with her right coming through to smack Maisie straight into her face.

At the bell Kristen returns to her corner looking more hyped now, Mila telling her "that's why you are a former champion, show this little girl why she will never be an elite fighter"

Round 4:

Coming out to trade more punches in bunches; they nearly clash heads when they both come in swinging big right hooks, leading to them shoving apart when clinched up.

Kristen lands a double jab to the top of Maisie's head, just missing an uppercut as the younger fighter just leans back in time to dodge.

The veteran though takes control of things when she nudges Maisie back after taking two body shots, a right across the face of Williams opens her up to two more punches that knock her head back.

Kristen taking the center of the ring soon enough; keeping Maisie moving around the outside, with punches finding their target more when she cuts off the ring.

Both women look to be gritting their gumshields as they slug it out on the inside, Kristen using her left shoulder to bump back Maisie, then fires into the body of the smaller fighter as she has her pressed into a corner.

Maisie pulls Kristen into a clinch; a frustrated look crosses Williams face as well as her coaching team, the referee needed to break them apart as Maisie moves into space.

When the bell rings it is another clear round for Kristen, who sits enjoying a drink of water as Mila praises her friend for grabbing control of this fight, both talking about what Kristen needs to do to push on.

Round 5:

The confidence seems to be flowing mostly through Kristen of the two fighters, she is out throwing more straight punches towards the face of Maisie as she steps forwards.

A missed straight though earns Kristen an overhand left across her jaw; Maisie showing she won't be bullied around as she puts her head down and throws hooks to the body.

Shoving Maisie backwards; Kristen comes firing back with a two punch combo into the puffy looking cheeks of Maisie, pushing her back further as Kreuk steps forwards.

Another missed right though gives Maisie an opening to land two left hooks into the ribs of Kristen, the youngster starting to get rhythm to her movement again.

Dodging Kristen more now as she counters to the body; Maisie is growing stronger as the round continues, while Kristen keeps missing with her bigger punches.

The round ends with both women taking a moment to glare at each other, Kristen has red marks forming on her body as Maisie gets her cheeks worked on.

Round 6:

Kristen looks to take the fight back to the more mobile Maisie, both throwing single shots to start the round as they gauge the range.

When Kreuk comes in with a right hook; it misses and Maisie lands a right to the body, FOLLOWED BY ANOTHER TO THE LIVER, IT LOOKS A DELAYED REACTION AS KREUK STEPS BACK, DOWN TO ALL FOURS HOLDING HER STOMACH THOUGH A MOMENT LATER!

Maisie looks to mouth "come on" as she turns to the neutral corner, 1...2...3...4.. Kristen spits out her gumshield as she stares at the sand, 5...6.. Cradling her body as she sucks in air, 7....8... Shaking her head over at Mila, 9...10 Kristen is counted out!

Winner Maisie Williams KO Round 6

After:

Another major scalp on the record of Maisie, who pounds her chest with her right glove before raising her fists in the air as she stares at Kristen.

Who has Mila kneeling next to her after Kristen gets up to her own kneeling position, the veteran saying "bytch got lucky with that punch" rubbing her stomach as she looks winded still.

Meanwhile Maisie jogs back to her corner to be embraced by Melanie, who looks so proud of the young woman as she tells her how good she looked out there.

Kristen gets to her feet; wincing a little but walking back to her corner for a drink and to be washed down, Mila pats her on the back as she tells her friend "we both know you can't win them all sadly, just wasn't your day babe, tomorrow will be" with Kristen nodding in reply.

When both fighters are ready; they come to the center of the ring for the final announcement to be made, Maisie getting her hand raised as the young woman jumps up and down.

Shaking her head at the sight; Kristen turns and heads out the ring with Mila, still seemingly not believing she lost to someone like Maisie.

Who inside the ring poses for cameras, arms on her hips and a cheesy grin, pundits are wondering if she is now the best flyweight in the Girls Friday stable, with Ivana Baquero and Elizabeth Henstridge sure to disagree.

As Maisie leaves the ring though; the momentum in their flyweight corps is all behind Williams, with Melanie telling her they will find her another tough opponent for the BBU next month as she keeps her interests on both sides of the Atlantic open.
