Georgia Mae Gibbs vs Olga Kurylenko

Georgia:

(23, 5’10, FCBA, VIXENs)

Olga:

(39, 5'10, 16:23:1 FCBA, Empire Boxing)

BEFORE:

Olga testy at the press conference, tired of losing to a constant stream of wannabe models who treat her as their personal punching bag.

“It stops today,” the lanky Russian says with a firm nod at the table. “Georgia and all these other girls can kiss my ass. I don’t know what they think they can achieve by scoring one off me, but it’s not going to happen any longer. I plan on showing the world what I’m capable of doing in the ring tonight.”

Georgia smirking in response, not too bothered by her opponent’s comments.

“Olga’s been singing the same tune for the past ten fights. And yet she always goes down in the end. So yeah, I’m not too bothered whenever she opens her mouth. I’m going to make short work of this ‘veteran’ in the ring tonight. Mark my words.”

Girls are almost identical in height and weight, with the most notable difference of course being their age. No face-off at the podium either, especially with the looks of contempt they are both shooting each other from across the press hall.

They enter the arena to great fanfare, with Olga striding in first dressed in a white cotton bra and briefs, classic black gloves on her hands as she grins widely, her fans having turned up en masse to support her. Georgia wearing a bright yellow bikini by contrast, long blonde hair tied up tight in a bundled ponytail out back, black gloves complementing that bumblebee, dangerous, don’t-mess-with-me look.

Referee calls for the touch of gloves and of course it doesn’t happen. HERE we go with ten rounds of Lightweight action!

ROUND 1:

Best way forward for Olga to secure a victory is an all-out assault on her opponent, and it seems like she agrees with our assessment. Georgia getting hounded by devastating right hands from the opening bell, Olga showing off her strength even for a woman as advanced as her age. Gibbs shocked, throwing up her hands as she's batted about the ring, trying to flick some jabs back at the Russian’s face, but each time opening herself up to another right hand cross that soars straight into her face. Blonde might be in early trouble if this action keeps up for the rest of this fight. For now, it's Kurylenko with a solid opening at the end of three minutes.

ROUND 2:

Gibbs moving fast this time, trying to evade punches. She's learnt her lesson, now can’t resist pounding on Olga's face right back with a rapid furry of jabs landing on the nose before the Vixen jumps out of the way of a counter hook. Gibbs' smile slowly creeping back again as she outworks the Russian by hit-and-run tactics, with Kurylenko struggling to keep up with her youthful energy. Gibbs however gets careless and predictable at the last minute, gasps when she's caught by a left hook to the belly and another right swing almost blows her off her feet when it crashes into her arms, with Kurylenko timing those two double-shots almost perfectly as Georgia was sailing in at her. Both girls rest at opposite ends of the ring, breathing hard until the bell rings.

ROUND 3:

Contrast of styles: Kurylenko with the strength and Gibbs the speed - just a question of who will prevail in the long run. Olga determined to end this fight early, comes out of her corner huffing and swinging hard, hooks thrown like the wind in an effort to dominate like she did in the first round. Georgia yelping as her guard gets battered, but then retreats backwards with her long arm stuck out, jab forced into Olga's face as she rushes in continually to bully. Bad news as the tables are suddenly turned, with Olga's advance getting blunted by the Vixen's superior reach. Third slam into the nostrils has Olga seeing stars, suddenly groggy, Gibbs POUNCING in with a hard swipe across the face, further drumming of the body and chest before LIFTING the veteran's head into the air with a snappy uppercut that lands outta nowhere!

Good gosh - Olga doesn't know what hit her, slams hard into the ground, spreadeagled! Countout begins as Gibbs turns her nose up to her fallen foe, grinning like a mad dog at her early accomplishment. It's a KNOCKDOWN early in the third!

Olga pushing herself off her back, but ultimately not enough to get back to her feet and meet the 10-count, gets waved off by the referee with both her arms draped over the middle rope, knees still buckling under all that punishment! It's all over!!

Official Decision: Georgia Mae Gibbs defeats Olga Kurylenko via KO3!

AFTER:

Gibbs with another impressive performance, but of course it's marred by taking on someone almost twice her age.

"Who the hell cares?" the Aussie stunner saying with a wide smile post-fight. "She's on the ground and I'm the one who’s left standing. I think the results speak for themselves."

Olga too spent to get up to her feet, let alone give a comment to reporters, who are eager to ask the veteran on whether her expiry date is looming on the horizon.
