ALYSON MICHALKA VS SHAY MITCHELL

Results: Lookout Writing: Archer

Alyson: 30 YO, 5’8 (1.73 m), 31-16-0, 18 KO since 2010, Bazz Fight Club

Shay: 32 YO, 5’7 ½ (1.71 m), 27-26-0, 25 KO since 2011, Pretty Little Punchers

Before: “I will admit this has been a disappointing year for me,” says Shay Mitchell at the pre-fight. “I should have a record that’s much better than 1-5. I thought I’d turned the corner when I beat Claire Holt, but then I lose to Emily Ratajkowski for the SECOND time in 2019. That is just not acceptable. Then I thought of Aly—she beat by decision 2013, but I beat her in 2017 in a KO4. That shows she’s just what I need to get back on track. She’ll be lucky to make it out thje first round this time!”

Aly rolls her eyes: “I think I am one of the most underrated bantams around. I have a much better record than Shay (31-16 to 27-26). Yes, she beat me two years ago, but that was then. I’ve only had 4 fights in the last two years and I only managed to win 1 of them. That’s got to stop! Shay is just the fighter to get ME back on track! If she thinks she is motivated to win—she’s got nothing on me!”

Hostile glares following those declarations. The ill-will is still strong as they later stand in the ring still glaring and still eager to win. Alyson in a sea green bra and light blue panties. Dark blue gloves and ankle boxing boots (light blue laces). Brunette hair is pulled back into a ponytail. Shay has opted for a black mesh body suit with white gloves and ankles boots (black laces). Her dark hair is in a French braid down her back. (“Somebody been watching the Apartment House Boxing Show?” A voice in the press area is heard to heard to remark.) The ring instructions are tense, but gotten through quickly. Hard “tap” of the gloves can be heard in the nose-bleed seats of the arena. This gets the crowd excited as the fighters go to their corners. The bell rings…

R1: Aly and Shay out of their corners at speed and bore in on each other with pumping shots to the body. Heavy belly punching and jugg-mugging gets the crowd roaring as those taut abs and proud breast come under attack, Shay working Aly’s chest with nasty, grinding straight rights and lefts, but Aly striking back hard to Shay’s belly and ribs with vengeful hooks. Shay and Aly trying to hang in close as the leather slams into their bodies, but slowly Alyson is able to push Shay back. Shay finally pulls back to gain some breathing room. Aly shoots forward and runs into Shay’s jabbing that strikes her in the face. Aly responds with a sharp right to the jaw that puts a shiver in Shay’s legs and then Alyson strikes to the belly. Shay knocked back on her heels, but rallies with her jab. She and Aly exchange face shots to the bell. They turn away with puffy, reddening faces, but a look of determination on both their faces as well. Judges give the close round to Alyson Michalka.

R2: Shay and Aly again out quickly and plunge back into battle with zeal. Shay works Alyson’s head early. She bangs Aly’s head with rights and lefts. Aly’s effort to get at Shay to the body falters and she retreats, Shay jumps forward, trying to get at Aly’s chin and jaw, but Aly moving around and proves an elusive target. Shay then goes to the body and Alyson takes up the challenge. Elbows are moving in and out as leather slams into Shay and Aly’s straining bodies. Shay targeting Aly to the belly and ribcage. Aly striking at Shay to the breasts, but Shay refuses to let the jugg-mugging distract her and keeps hammering those Michalka abs. Aly falling back, hunched over and trying to keep Shay back with the jab. They punch down to the bell. Aly panting hard as Shay chests up on her, but referee quickly moves in to break it up. Close, but hard-fought round goes to Shay Mitchell.

R3: Alyson looks a bit slow coming out for the new round and Shay wastes no time in going after her with a head-swiveling right to the jaw. Alyson goes rubbery legged and covers her head. Shay now pounds those Michalka puppies as she drives the trembled-legged Alyson into the ropes. Alyson struggling to escape, she manages to get some desperation jabs into Shay’s boobs, but Shay slams her right back in the juggs. Aly now has to take a seat on the ropes and cover her head as Shay pounds away at her to the body. Aly shuddering and writhing under bombardment, but she does not go down. Bell rings and Shay steps back, wiping a forearms across her sweaty brow as she looks at Alyson slowly peel herself off the strands. Aly’s whole body must be ringing all that Shay Mitchell leather, but she draws herself up with a defiant look and marches off to her corner. Shay looks vexed at this and stalks off to her own corner.

R4: Alyson out of her corner with a determined attack on Shay’s abs. Belly and ribs are pounded by Aly’s deep digging hooks. Shay is trying to circle out of range, but Alyson hanging with and now goes after Shay’s rack. Shay under pressure to the body, finally strikes back with an overhand right that catches Aly between the eyes. Aly sent stumbling back and Shay leaps forward trying to bring rights and lefts into Aly’s jaw. Aly trying to dodge, but gets banged to the head. Aly scrambling now, but swings around as Shay comes in and drives a straight right into Shay’s right eye. Shay recoils, gloves up around her face as Alyson rakes her hard t the body with crisscrossing right and lefts. Shay doubled up and trying to retreat as Alky finishes the round by bouncing rights and lefts off the top of Shay’s head. Bell sounds. Shay looks foggy-eyed and Aly smiles grimly. Judges thought it was another close round, but they give it to Aly Michalka

R5: Hard work by the PLP corner crew gets Shay back out and fighting hard as Aly comes at her. Aly bobbing and weaving as she tries to come in against Shay’s fierce defense. Aly finally able to stagger Shay with a right uppercut to the chin. Alyson then swings in a left to the chin and now has Shay staggering away. Alyson moves to get in front of Shay, who now has her gloves up high around head, so Aly goes to the body with hooks. Just as Aly body attack gets started, Shay strikes back with sudden cracking left to the chin of her own. Now Alyson is the one on wobbly legs and Shay moves to attack her to the body. Aly was pummeled back, but she fights back with the jab. One these jabs strikes at the already red and swollen right eye of Shay Mitchell. Shay shudders like an electric shock has gone through her. Aly moves forward to follow up, but Shay quickly rallies and they are at it toe to toe in more pounding action to breasts, belly and ribs. They both set their feet to try to boost leather power and the roar of the crowd must be driving them into a furious effort. Suddenly the bell rings and the referee has to push the two raging battlers apart. Shay and Aly standing there, chests heaving, sweat and trickles of blood dripping down their bodies, while they give each other fierce looks of determination. Referee has to send them on their way. Judges add up the points and declare this round was a DRAW!

R6: Both corners work hard to get their fighter out for the new round, but there is a definite slowness to Shay and Aly as they come out of their corners. They move to mid-ring and start circling, then firing out probing punches. Then Aly suddenly lunges forward aiming for Shay’s chin with her right. Shay turns to block the blow with her left shoulder and then brings back her own right crashing into the side of Aly’s chin. Aly staggers forward and Now Shay brings in left/right uppercuts in under Aly’s chin. DOWN GOES ALY MICHALKA. Aly lands on her knees and pitches forward. Shay looks down with a savage grin and then steps over Aly’s prone body. Somehow in the course of this, Shay steps on Aly’s butt, which draws angry cries from Bazz supporters and laughter from the PLP fans. Referee scolds Shay who assures the official it was quite accidental. Shay finally gets to her corner. That bit of disrespect did give Alyson some extra seconds as she struggles to regain her senses as the referee counts. She makes an effort and breaks the count at “EIGHT!” Then as the referee waves Shay back in and Aly charges out to meet her. Aly goes for Shay’s head, but Shay ducks and hooks to Aly’s abs. Aly knocked back on her heels, but gets her jab going and then the two of start circling each other as they pound away. Shay trying to punch Aly back into the ropes, but Aly stubbornly stands her ground to the bell. Nice recovery by Alyson, but that knockdown assured Shay would win the round wide.

R7: Shay gets a stern lecture from trainer Nia Peeples about the folly of giving Alyson extra recovery time with her “accidental” stepping on Aly. Shay heard to say: “All right, next time she goes down, I’ll be a nice girl—but she had it coming!” Meanwhile Bazz trainer Angie Everhart is telling a seething Alyson: “You want to get back her fine! But don’t be fool! Wait until she’s counted out!” “I’ll try,” Aly says sullenly and adds. “I still feel her boot on my butt.” “Forget her boot and your butt—concentrate on her jaw and chin!” Aly nods and a moment later the bell rings. Out they come.

Shay is attacking first as they get within range at center ring with a flurry of hooks to the body, but then she tries some overhand rights and lefts. Aly absorbs the body punches, but manages to block the head shots. Then she strikes back to Shay’s juggs. Shay responds with aa burst of pounding leather into Aly’s bra cups. Aly fights back with hooks to Shay’s belly. They circle and then Aly suddenly strikes with a powerhouse driving right that bursts between Shay’s gloves and into Shay’s right eye. Shay trembles and freezes as the white-hot pain in her eye rips through her body. In that instant, Aly strikes with lefts and rights to the chin. Shay’s head bobs up and down from the blows as she staggers back Then Aly dips down to her ankles with her right and brings spectacular right uppercut smashing home on the unguarded chin. SHAY IS LIFTED OF HER FEET AND SENT HURTLING TO THE CANVAS! Shay is sprawled on her back, head lolling to one side as her mouth trickles out of her mouth. Aly allows herself only a second to drink in the sight and then quickly heads for the neutral corner. Shay starting to move as the referee begins his count. She pushes herself into a sitting position using one arm. Her right eye is now nearly swollen shut. She looks around bleakly with her left eye and finds she can rise no further.

“EIGHT!...NINE!...TEN!...YOU’RE OUT!”

THE WINNER ALYSON MICHALKA DEFEATS SHAY MITCHELL KO7!

After: Alyson rushes back to her corner where she has her gloves removed. Cassie Scerbo, Trcay Spiridakos and Shailene Woodley all on hand to congratulate Aly. Aly whispers: “Be ready to back me up! I have business across the ring.”

Aly waits until she sees the medical staff has cleared Shay and comes swooping in like a bird of prey. Aly ignores scowls from bystanders Lucy Hale and Sasha Pieterse and pulls a sorry-looking Shay Mitchell to her feet.

At first, it looks like Aly’s got a Walk of Shame in mind as she leads Shay to the ropes. BUT NO! Aly suddenly lifts Shay and bends her over the middle rope. Them Aly starts punching away at Shay’s defenseless buns! Lucy and Sasha start towards the scene. But they are blocked by Tracy, Cassie and Shailene. Big pushing and shoving match takes place. Meanwhile Shay is howling indignantly.

“Step on my butt, will you? Now you’ll find out what a real butt whuppin’ is like!”

“Hurry it up, Aly, I see PLP reinforcements coming!” Cassie calls out from the defensive line. Sure enough Troian Bellisario, Danielle Campbell and Melissa Benoist are seen coming down the ramp.

Aly pulls Shay back and gives her a kick in her aching buns that sends her flying across the ring. Cassie, Tracy and Shailene neatly jump aside so that Shay takes down Lucy and Sasha, Then the four Bazz fighters take off clearing the ring just as Troi, Dani and Melissa climb in. Shay can be heard shouting:

“I’LL GET YOU FOR THIS MICHALKA!”

Aly and her friends turn and laugh, then disappear out of sight. The fuming PLP girls have to settle for escorting Shay from the ring.

That was quite a fight. It looked like it could have gone either way, but it was Bazz’s Alyson Michalka that emerged the winner. The fight will likely serve as warning lesson for fighters who waste time gloating over a fallen opponent as Shay Mitchell did. No doubt feelings ran very high in this fight, but Shay learned the hard way not to let these feelings cloud your actions. Nice win for Alyson and hopefully it will boost her profile when it comes to getting future fights. Shay likely won’t have trouble getting fights, but for the wrong reason: she is looking beatable this year. No doubt the PLP will try to turn this round and they need to do it soon.
