Dunst vs Witherspoon

Intense rivalry out of the ring carries over into it as girls are used to being pitted against one another on Hollywood short lists. Dunst a hard nosed girl, but she can box, show some angles—Witherspoon with some nice wins over Hewitt has shown the ability to pressure cuties into defeat—it’s a toss up going in. Reese in pink bikini, Dunst in navy velvet bra and panties, dyed red hair.

This fight couldn’t have been closer or more competitive for the first five rounds, with the girls tking turns edging each other out on the score cards, each grabbing the initiative only to see it yanked back in rollicking see-saw action. Dunst has a very orthodox, technically sound style—gloves up, elbows in—putting that front foot in a bucket and dragging it around as she steps and pivots, For all that, she’s no Jennifer Love Hewitt—Dunst will stop and move her hands, punching in rolling bursts from underneath and although Witherspoon had had terrific success going right at her girl—she was paying a price to get to Kirsten’s chest.

In the sixth, Dunst started to take Reese apart. Boxing from outside, Kirsten landed that chopping right hand off the jab, stunning Reese, then laying it again on the jaw when Witherspoon wasn’t expecting it. Sliding back, Kirsten was able to pick a wobbly Witherspoon up with a nasty hook, then slash back on in with the overhand right and follow-up hooks. Reese began hunching forward, groggily taking punches as Kirsten banged away for a 10-8 round with the knockdown. The fight had turned—Kirsten Dunst was putting her stamp on Reese Witherspoon.

The seventh confirmed Kirsten’s dominance with a shutout and the 8th resume the redhead’s power hitting as Witherspoon’s defense was shabby remnant of the crisp head movement and stout blocking of the early rounds Dunst’s accurate, sharp punching began to tear Reese up, and shocking double right hands had the pretty blonde staring at the ropes. Halfway through the 8th—the ref would step in and shelter a cringing Witherspoon from any more punishment—Kirsten Dunst had chopped out the KO8.

6 rounds to 2 Dunst. 1 shutout a piece, Dunst landing all the significant power shots.
