Chloe Grace Moretz vs Julianne Hough

BEFORE: "I'm not gonna stay independent for too long, folks! Not after pounding that McCurdy creature at the Asylum last month!", Chloe Moretz has caught a new wave of confidence having made the Lioness Club scouting short-list at the expense of Dove Cameron which Eva Mendes confirmed in the week leading up to this fight. Can she handle the expectations though? Scoring an upset over a Front Street member is one thing but you simply need pure consistency to earn a contract from Mr. V's stable.

On the other hand we have Julianne Hough, one of the most forgotten former champions around, who has mixed both fly & bantam outings with mediocre results over the past several years. One can argue she is the original dancing hooker according to Tess Valmore's logic but nobody can erase her title reign so it's a valid resume for an aspiring youngster like Moretz to make her mark.

Trick of treat time in the ring, Chloe Moretz wears a red sports bra with black trim, matching hotpants & white gloves. Long blonde hair tied in a curled ponytail. Julianne Hough wears a pink bikini top, black knee-high leggins & pink gloves. Long blonde hair straight, tucked behind the ears. The fight is scheduled for ten rounds in the flyweight division.

Round 1:
Chloe seeks another quick-time impression and jumps into a slugging route only to find Julianne beating her punch for punch and smacking right through the high guard. Ugh! Talk about getting upstaged here as Chloe wobbles to her heels and just can't live with the dancer's pace to the point she gets backed onto the ropes come the one-minute mark. Hough stands tall and piles high-octane pressure up the middle clipping the youngster's chin repeatedly. Chloe tries to swing back but can't find her range at all and is dropped into a desperate earmuff cover while Julianne gets vocal in her hectic jabbing assault. She carries on like that for remainder of the round and a shaken Moretz stares at her with misty eyes at the bell. What the heck was that anyway?

Round 2:
Chloe can be as quick on her feet as she wants to but she's not gonna outmanouver a pro dancer like Hough so it's more slugging time as both blondes trade epic leather much to the crowd's delight. Julianne's head begins to snap backwards as she eats a solid dose of Moretz's leather however she responds over the top and tears a small gash over the youngster's left eye in the process. Chloe doesn't realize she's been cut as she glues her mitts into the dancer's face and the one-dimensional attack continues until Julianne belts her foe across the boobs and wobbles her backwards. She misses a classic put away jumper though and clatters into the reeling actress in jug-to-jug contact which drops Moretz onto her backside. Ugh! We have a brief stoppage in action as Chloe dusts herself up and seeths revenge at the fellow blonde. However the clock runs out before she can put those words into action.

Round 3:
Julianne finds her range early in the third and keeps racking up punches as the feisty youngster struggles to match the dancer's pace and gets picked off up the middle. Hough maintains the one-dimensional attack as Moretz can do little about those pesky shots that back her onto the ropes where she can only apply the clinching delay. Julianne shakes her off but becomes too reckless in her pursuit to teach the free agent a lesson and loses her precision even with Moretz hugging the ropes. Chloe ducks low underneath the predictable attack and slams a nasty hook on the ribcage that makes Hough yelp in pain before a chaotic brawl ensues just past the two-minute mark. Both women trade punches in foxy boxing style until Julianne recovers first to blast a wild hook into Chloe's nose that half-spins her against the turnbuckle. She adds immediate blast on the exposed ribcage and leaves Moretz scowing in pain at the bell.

Round 4:
Another quick attack over the top sends Moretz reeling upon impact but she just can't force her jabbing will as Hough's work rate gives her the edge despite an otherwise mediocre conversion. The former champion apparently wants to smash Chloe's face into a bloody mess as she refuses to abandon the head-hunting script and takes full advantage of the youngster's lack of mobility that eventually traps her along the ropes again. Moretz's overhand response only grazes the older blonde's flesh as another small gash appears over the right eye when Hough lands a triple combo and sends the Atlanta native into a deep earmuff. Ugh! No wonder coach Mendes is losing her mind as Chloe allows Julianne to beat her up and it's almost a surprise she hasn't gone down amid this one-sided dominance from the blonde dancer.

Round 5:
Julianne's lack of recent success has allowed Chloe to escape immediate danger but she's fallen behind on the cards and nurses a couple of nasty gashes above each eye which makes the dancer giggle in delight when she resumes the head-hunting tactics and bounces off Moretz's face with relative ease. Chloe barks in her overhand efforts but just can't land the proper punch until she belts the fellow blonde across the boobs and fires a harpoon on the exposed liver area. Hough didn't react quick enough for that one and Chloe sticks a wicked cross hook on the eye to finally throw the former champ off her stance before another brawl ensues along the ropes. Moretz steers her mitts into the dancer's face much better this time around and outworks her in a phone booth struggle before another low strike tears into Julianne's abs and makes her grunt in discomfort. Add one more and Hough wobbles forward while Chloe nails her with an uppercut double and tears her lips with a late jabbing flurry. It's Julianne's time to hug the ropes with her butt as she bends away from a looping cross right at the bell however Chloe still smacks her on the belly button a split second later and that's as good of a comeback as coach Mendes could have imagined at half-distance.

Round 6:
Julianne is upset she opened the door for a mild comeback upset but she easily enforces another close range tussle and let's see if the Atlanta blonde can slug herself into more contention. Julianne thinks the kid will run out of steam fast but suddenly her nostrils begin to leak the red fluid as Moretz cranks it up and blasts a triple hooking nightmare to sink the dancer into spasms. Huh! Julianne stops additional three shots with her face and drops her gloves just low enough for Chloe to SMOKE her on the jaw with a full head of steam.... What the... Hough half-spins to the side and doesn't recover fast enough to cover up while Chloe plugs her in the solar plexus to raise the gurgling volume... Julianne tries to catch her breath but soaks up another vicious hook on the nose and blood spills onto the ref's shirt as the former champion stumbles back onto the ropes before folding on her knees with more blood gushing from the damaged nose! Hold the phone!!! We have a medical stoppage as Julianne gets up at seven however keeps leaking red paint and there are concerns she might have suffered a structural damage here... thirty seconds into the medical time out and the fight is waved off as the ring doctor believes Julianne requires X-ray check back in hospital. TKO6 Chloe Moretz in Bloody Halloween fashion!!!

AFTER: "We'll take this one and won't look back! Chloe deserves some luck after all these near misses before!", coach Eva Mendes ignores the fact Moretz was behind on the scorecards when the fight was stopped. "It's Juli's fault she couldn't finish her off fast enough. Better be lucky than good!"

Meanwhile Chloe appears to be upset over her overall performance but keeps her mouth shut until a hollow-eyed Julianne is escorted off to the locker room: "Okay, this trial thing is not that easy! Guess these former champs are not impressed after my Asylum result. Big deal! I know this is my chance and I found a way to win! That's all that frickin' matters! Huh! What next? Hey, I called Dakota Fanning the other night and told her I'm gonna whup her skinny ass! I wonder if Mr. V grants me that wish! Pretty please!" (winks to the camera). 

Coach Mendes interrupts the blonde's speech by telling her Dove Cameron is still available as potential opponent but no further details are revealed before the coverage concludes. Selena Gomez makes sure Chloe is shut down from additional speculation and fuels some of her own by saying the blonde trialist will have to raise her game if she really wants to replace her as LCA's Beta flyweight: "Come on! So much talk about some blonde wimp! She couldn't even handle our damn sparring partner! Is Tess Valmore running this trial or what? Let's sign this other kid... what's her name.... oh, wait. I'm supposed to keep my mouth shut...", "Give it up, hun! The trial remains open!", that's the final word from Eva Mendes who gives the fellow Latina a proper death stare in the process.
