"Witches, Pumpkinheads & Black Cats VII: Halloween@The Asylum" PPV

Posted by HBO's Boxing At The Asylum on 31 Oct, 2019 at 9:14am

The Man In The Hat sits, as usual, at the center of the dais. To his left are Chloe Bennet, Ariel Winter, Lili Reinhart, Britney Spears, Neve Campbell, Pink, Grace Park, and Alison Brie. To his right sit Katy Perry, Serinda Swan, Taylor Hill, Jewel, Mariska Hargitay, Leelee Sobieski, Kesha, and Emily Osment.

Man In The Hat: "OK. As usual, before we get to questions, there are some people I want to thank. Let's start, obviously, with Bonzo. Lots of managers have done Front Street solids over the years, but none was bigger than Bonzo agreein' to allow the MDE, Amanda Righetti, to come here and fight on our card, and I couldn't appreciate it more. And, let's not forget each and every one of our indy fighters, who are the backbone of Asylum. Without them, what we do every month wouldn't happen. And, of course, we can't forget the FCBA Commission for sanctioning these fights and making Asylum possible. Now. Questions. Cable Boy. Go!"

HBO Reporter: "Obviously, I want to start with Katy and Amanda. Does that result firm up your decision on what to do with the welterweight division?"

Man In The Hat: "Look, you don't come into a fight EXPECTING to beat Amanda Freakin' Righetti. Now, you THINK that you CAN beat Righetti and you always hope to get a result, but you don't EXPECT to do it unless you're a fool. And, Old Wiz is many things, but a fool ain't one of 'em. So. The result of this fight isn't gonna make a decision for us, and tonight isn't even the time to talk about that. Tonight is the time to, again, thank Bonzo for makin' this possible and to thank the two ladies involved for giving us one hell of a fight. And, they DID that. Katy fought very, very well tonight, result or no, against the Most Dominant Ever. That was impressive. All the rest can wait for video and data and discussions and all of that. Tonight, let's just think about what a great fight that was and how well both women fought. Cable Boy II. Go!"

Showtime Reporter: "I want to talk about your lightweights. Nice wins for Swan and Hill..."

Man In The Hat: "Taylor, obviously, has a lot of talent. And, everyone knows it. If I put her on the block, there'd be plenty of interest. Before you ask, I have NOT done that, I'm just sayin' over here. Swanny's won a lot of big fights for us. Come up big when she needed to a lot of times. Beaten good fighters. What you saw tonight is no surprise. That's what you get with Serinda. And, it's good stuff. Tess, dear, go ahead."

Tess: "Both of your bantams got results tonight, but only Chloe's guaranteed a roster spot..."

Man In The Hat (nodding): "Definitely liked what I saw from Chloe tonight. As I always do. Got a challenge and she was up to it. Same is true in a different way for Lili. Never doubted the talent Ms. Reinhart possesses. Again, we'll look at video and see stuff to like and stuff not to like, but, what I saw tonight? I was very pleased with it. Very. Smackeroo. Dinner time. Take us there!"

Reporter: "Let's talk about Ariel. She looked, I thought, VERY good against a girl who's been both flyweight champ and JMD champ and she was quoted in the post-fight as saying that, if Front Street doesn't know what it has in her, another stable will step in..."

Man In The Hat: "Well, here's the thing. I have zero doubt plenty of stables would be interested if Ariel became available. but, that's now how we make decisions here. We were well aware there'd be plenty of interest in Decker when we made that decision, as one example. But. Rest assured that WE have known what we had in Ms. Winter from the moment we signed her. I've never had any doubts about what she's capable of. What I wanted to see was her start to realize that potential. I think we've seen that, so I feel comfortable going ahead and announcing that Ariel has become the fifth member of the stable to secure her roster spot for the Tenth Anniversary. Now. Dinner time. Tess! Smackey! Limo!"
