Bridget Regan versus Adrianne Palicki
(Words: Sceej / Results: Lookout!)

The “Chin Checker” making move to the welters after disastrous 2019 – winless at lightweight, only win was against top 20 welterweight Karlie Kloss has the Sceej brain trust thinking she may be dead at the weight? Nearly six foot tall Palicki killing herself to get under 130 pounds in her mid 30s?

At the press conference, Bridget Regan ain’t having it! “Let me get this straight? The girl is losing to lightweights and figures the solution is to fight girls who hit harder? That’s some plan!” snarks Bridget, “And you compound the mistake by deciding your first fight among the big girls is gonna be Bridget Regan?!!”

Adrianne respectful as always: “Look, I don’t like to make excuses and I don’t know what the future holds but I can say that I was feeling weak going into fights after having to cut weight. I have huge respect for Bridget – she’s ranked 8th and it’s not too long ago that she was challenging Amanda Righetti for control of the division! But slight correction - this is not my first welterweight fight. I knocked out Karlie Kloss in March and a few years back I dropped a decision to the great Righetti but I did knock her down. So I respect Bridget … but I am in no way intimidated by her.”

Fight Night: Bridget Regan to ring accompanied by Angie Everhart. Stunning physical specimen in white sports bra and shorts, white gloves and boots. Adrianne Palicki to ring to strains of Pat Benetar’s “Hit Me With Your Best Shot”, orange crocheted bikini with black gloves and boots, accompanied by veteran trainer Scrubby McGee, his assistant Jack Daniels, and Gena Lee Nolin. Ring announcer “Ten rounds of boxing in the welterweight division … making her official welterweight debut … former two time lightweight champion … Adrianne “The Chin Checker” Palicki … and her opponent … a former welterweight champion herself … currently ranked 8th in the FCBA … Big Bad Bridget Regan!!!”

Nolin startled … then smoldering at just how quickly Bridgie Regs appropriated the recently retired blonde’s ring name … but ringsiders shaking heads in confirmation … it sure suits her … Big Bad Bridget Regan indeed!

Round 1: Regan out of corner in classic stance, dukes up and right cocked – Palicki a little more loose limbed. Bridget bobbing and weaving, looking to slip the long jab and get inside where she can work that still slender frame – ringsiders speculating that Palicki likely not more than 131-132 pounds. Adrianne circling, spitting the jab, sometimes just to ward off the bad girl from Bazz, but snapping that head as well. When Regs does close, she flurries hard to the body but Palicki quick to tie up. Close round but Palicki gets the nod with ring generalship.

Round 2: Everhart in Regan’s ear in corner, “Get rough with this stringbean!” and Bridget out to storm the gates. Pays the toll - walking through that stiff jab – when Palicki clinches, Bridget walks her back to ropes with strong legs and hammers left right left to the body … Palicki replies with hook to Bridget temple but takes a hard right hand in reply! Palicki flurries back with both hands but Bridget into guard, taking shots on forearms and shoulders … then erupts out of crouch with big left hook that swivels head – Palicki hurt! Sags into ropes and Bridget sets up shop … no wasted effort … using angles to pin lanky opponent and thoroughly work her up and down .. always finishing with the body. At bell, Palicki having difficulty straightening up and Bridget waives hand dismissively. Shut out round for Big Bad Bridget!

Round 3: Now its time for Palicki’s ears to burn as Scrubby McGee reads her the riot act to “Addie - stay off da damn ropes!!!”. Adrianne nodding thoughtfully. Off the stool and on her toes, despite some residual cramping, and Bridget Regan gets a boxing lesson courtesy of her lanky opponent. Moving left, then stop on a dime and circle right, all the while popping jab into brunette’s pretty kisser. Not one punch is hard but cumulative effect has Bridget’s face reddening. When frustrated Regan begins to pursue recklessly, Adrianne digs toes into canvas, feints left and throws that dangerous straight right to the chest, shocking the Bazz bad girl with her power. Comeback round for Palciki.

Rounds 4-5: Regan upping the pressure, taking risks to get to her taller opponent and paying dividends. Bobbing and weaving, never giving the tall girl a stationary target, jabbing way in then utilizing the left hook to good effect … up and down … ribs then chin … and Palicki starting to look a little shabby. Late in the fourth, Bridget feints the left hook and unleashes straight right hand … and Chin Checker checked!!! Palicki sprawls on her butt after that taste of welter power! On one knee by four … seems clear eyed … up at six and gloves wiped down as ref finishes the mandatory eight count … and welcome to the welterweight division, Miss Palicki! Bridget Regan extends lead to two points through five with that 10-8 fourth.

Round 6: Angie Everhart in Bridget’s ear “No breaks for this chick! Stay on her! She’s fading … she can’t deal with your strength!” Regan out of corner, relaxed and confident, looking to close the show … and WALKS RIGHT INTO THE FREAKIN’ HAMMER OF THOR!!!. Palicki lands that diamond cutter right hand square on the point of the chin and Bridget Regan pitches forward. Ref starts count and then rolls Bridget to her back to get out the mouthpiece … she is out cold! Winner in dramatic fashion by knockout in the 6th round – Adrianne “The Chin Checker” Palciki!

Adrianne to Bazz corner to check on Bridget as she gets the smelling salt. Nolin snickering, “Big Bad Bridget, my ass!” then to Palicki, “Hey ‘Girl Scout’ – you wanna REALLY announce yourself to the big girls? Ya shoulda taken her on a walk of shame!”

Multiple welterweight contenders ring side. Cursory applause and pursed lips … did we just see the birth of a new force in the welterweight division? Time will tell …
