(Frankie's Foxes vs Free Agent)
Intro: The opening bout tonight in York Hall is a rematch from 2015, Tulisa Contostavlos looks to get revenge on Ellie Goulding. Tulisa is 29 years old; stands 5'6 and holds a record of 7 wins, 6 by knockout and 11 defeats. Ellie is 31 years old; stands 5'5 and holds a record of 5 wins, 4 by knockout and 6 defeats.
The first fight took place 3 years ago and ended with Ellie scoring a technical knockout of Tulisa is round 5, of course Tulisa wants to right that as she states in her prefight interview with the press. "I have been waiting for this rematch for awhile, Ellie hasn't had the guts so far but I guess that she needs me again, sadly all I am going to give her is an arse kicking" says Tulisa with a hard look on her face. "Ellie simply isn't good enough; she has been found out and now I am savouring getting to put her down further" finishes up Tulisa. Ellie has a cheeky grin as she talks "I know things haven't been great for me, but Tulisa is a stepping stone for me, she can claim to be a champion in waiting for all I care, I own her arse and she knows it" Changing the subject; she adds "I want the BBU title still but I know I need to work hard and I have plenty of rivals who want a piece of me"
Fight night; out comes Tulisa with her coach Myleene Klass by her side, the Londoner gets love as you would expect from her fans as she heads to the ring with a big smile on her face. Her attire is a black sports bra with silver trim, matching trunks, gloves with silver thumbs and black shoes, her hair is braided. Stepping into the ring; Tulisa jogs to her corner and mounts the bottom rope, shouting to the fans "I can't hear you!" Cupping her ears with her gloves as she says it, the crowd respond to make her smile. Her attention is brought to the top of the ramp as Ellie arrives with her crowd to a decidedly more hostile response, Ellie keeps stone faced as she heads to the ring. She seems to be going for her look in the Pantene advert as she has a leather jacket on, white sports bra underneath, black trunks with Goulding in white letters on her waistband and her hands taped up, with her hair in a ponytail. Before she enters the ring; she slips her jacket off and her coach helps her put on her black gloves with white thumbs. Stepping into the ring; Ellie does acknowledge the crowd by giving them a quick wave, but nods when she sees the crowd are not going to lighten up on her. Soon the fighters are brought to the ring centre; getting straight into each others face as they certainly don't want to hug and make up. In fact Tulisa gives Ellie and push "don't you dare act the big shot in my hometown you bytch!" She shouts as Ellie just glares at her in return. Tulisa turns her back on Ellie and jogs to her corner, with the referee staying close by in case Ellie tries to attack her rival, instead both settle in their corner ready to start 10 rounds of bantamweight action.
Round 1: Out come the fighters; Tulisa and Ellie trading away at the center of the ring, circling at first, before Tulisa comes up the middle with two straight shots to the top of Ellie's head. Tulisa looking to bully back Ellie with her extra reach; taking the ring centre, she uses jabs and straights to herd Ellie back around the ring. With Goulding moving her head to dodge the punches, stepping inside after slipping under a right to land a left to the ribs, beginning to work the body. But Tulisa shoves Ellie back, rifling a double jab into the top of Ellie's head to force her back to the outside, where she keeps her opponent under more control as she keeps her near the ropes. Ellie looks to slip her way inside again; but Tulisa dances back and lands a left and right to nudge her backwards, trying to keep the older fighter back. Late in the round; Ellie parries a straight and steps forwards with a right to the body and a left up top to force Tulisa to go toe to toe with her. The bell rings not long after with the referee needing to nudge the two women back as they keep swinging after the round has ended, both glaring at each other before they turn and jog to their corners. Myleene pats Tulisa's back as she passes her by, telling her good job over the opening round, though Tulisa looks frustrated that she didn't do too much to Ellie, who blocked most of her punches early on till she was able to take control of the round. Round 2: As the fighters come out; Ellie looks to be moving more quickly, dancing around Tulisa, who is trying to land her punches to the head of her rival. Instead Ellie slips her way to the inside; working the sides of Tulisa's body, Tulisa firing back up top as the girls slug it out in tight. But Ellie moves back and lands a straight onto the chin of Tulisa, with the older fighter able to start outboxing Tulisa with her movement giving the bigger fighter trouble. Tulisa manages to catch Ellie to the top of her head coming in with a left, before landing a right hook to push her back a step. As Tulisa tries to press forwards, her follow up punches find the gloves of Ellie as she forces her on the defensive. Till Ellie dips under a jab and comes up with an overhand right that turns Tulisa's head and allows her to begin driving Tulisa back onto the ropes across the ring. Tulisa forced to cover up as the round comes to a close, as the bell rings; Ellie jogs back to her corner with the crowd booing her. She doesn't seem to care as she sits down and stares at Tulisa across the ring from her, Goulding's coach praising her but warning her not to let the occasion drive her, stick to her skills and win this. Round 3: Tulisa this time looks to push the action; forcing Ellie back to the outside of the ring again, with the younger fighter having to bob and weave her way out of trouble. As Tulisa tries to step in to land a right hook; with Ellie having to lean back out the way, a left cross though follows and cracks Ellie across her cheek to knock her back onto the ropes. Eyes lighting up on Tulisa as she steps forwards to throw a flurry at the head of Ellie, who covers up as Contostavlos tries to take her head off. Ellie manages to survive the onslaught without taking too much damage, dipping down and clinching up with Tulisa, who throws a few punches to the kidneys till the referee breaks them up and tells Tulisa to keep things clean. As the action resumes; Ellie fighting more smartly, keeping away from the ropes and letting Tulisa smack her punches off her gloves as the younger fighter gives chase. Ellie surprises Tulisa by coming under a right and catching her with an uppercut that rocks Tulisa's head back and sweat flies into the air. It looks like Tulisa is stunned as Ellie backs her up with punches smacking off the face of the hometown favourite, blood drips from the lips of Contostavlos as a right cuts them. The bell rings to end the round with Tulisa shaking her head, not believing that she got caught out like that, Myleene certainly not happy with her as she tells her off as she patches her lips up. Ellie again scowls over at Tulisa; she is in business mode tonight as her coach washes her down, telling her "keep boxing smart babe, that's the Ellie that was feared, make Tulisa affair of you" Round 4: Tulisa comes out trying to push forwards in the same manner she did last round, but Ellie proves too elusive early on; punches flying over the head or shoulders of Ellie as she moves around her foe. Ellie soon dips under a right and just misses with the uppercut as Tulisa leans back, as Tulisa moves back; Ellie quickly follows with two cross punches smacking her across cheeks. Tulisa tries to fight back; Ellie though has her on her heels and is smacking those blood lips of Contostavlos to make her cry out and retreat behind her guard. With Ellie getting booed off the crowd as she bullies Tulisa onto the ropes with piston like body shots, Tulisa swings with a desperation right hook that sails over Ellie's head. Ellie comes back with an overhand left that rocks Tulisa; A FOUR PUNCH COMBO ONTO THE FACE OF TULISA KNOCKS HER HEAD BACK AND SHE GOES DOWN TO HER KNEES! Goulding jogs to a neutral corner as the count begins 1...2...3 Tulisa shaking her head, trying to clear it as blood drips off her lips to the canvas 4...5...6 using the ropes, Tulisa begins pulling herself up 7....8... She gets to her feet with a small wobble but waves Ellie on. The referee checks Tulisa and deems her OK to continue; Ellie is quick to step forwards, using her jab to measure up her opponent, who swings wild punches to try and land something to get revenge for being put down. Instead Ellie times her attack; slipping under a right hook and coming up the middle with a three punch combo to the face of Tulisa to rock her backwards. Late in the round; Ellie knocks Tulisa near the ropes, opening her up with piston like punches drilling through the mitts of Contostavlos to knock her head back, AN UPPERCUT TAKES THE LEGS FROM TULISA AS SHE COLLAPSES DOWN TO HER FACE, THE REFEREE CHECKS HER OUT BUT WAVES THE FIGHT OFF, SHE IS KNOCKED CLEAN OUT!
Winner Ellie Goulding KO Round 4
After: Tulisa not able to get revenge; again she finds herself knocked out by Ellie, who doesn't celebrate too much, just waving her right in the air to show the crowd the fist that knocked their favourite out as she heads to her corner. The ringside doctor and medics safely turn Tulisa to her side, getting her gumshield out to check she is OK, after several moments she wakes up and looks understandably upset that she lost again to Ellie. Tears run down Tulisa's face as she tries to hide behind her gloves, the doctor giving her a moment as does Myleene, who looks sad for her fighter, the normally cocky Tulisa distraught right now. All the while Ellie just ignores her, focusing on getting cleaned up by her coach as he tells her how wonderful she was tonight, though she doesn't look overall pleased with her game, telling him "she caught me too easily early on, she shouldn't be able to do that" coldly dismissing the talents of Tulisa. After Tulisa seems to have cried herself out, the doctor and Myleene helps her out the ring, the crowd telling her that they love her as she is helped to the locker room for probably more tests.
Ellie gets her hand raised by the referee to some fan fare, but is mostly ignored by the crowd, she doesn't seem bothered as she smiles as she leaves the ring. Pundits at ringside wondering if Ellie can rebuild herself after several lean years in the ring, tonight was a good performance on doing that but she needs to finally beat the fights in the top level, not just the middle and bottom of the rung fighters. While it is questionable if Tulisa can pick herself back up; though her manager Frankie won't be too bothered, he'll still be getting something from Tulisa whether she wins or loses if rumours are true.
